Cassandra was relieved to feel no worse than she had the day before when she awoke the next morning. As normal she practiced her dancing once more as she devoted herself again to Shelyn's service like she did every morning. When she was done she ate and donned her armor and weapons ready to deal with what lie before them. She nodded at Lililinda as the small woman spoke and said, "I agree, let's get this over with."

Innis pretends to get chills as Cassandra speaks. "Such grim determinism! A lioness awoken from the sleep of a mewling kitten perhaps? Let us hope your claws are sharp enough for what is to come. The first stop, a certain skeletal mage I should think." with more gusto this time, To the Huecuvas lair!

Noticing Amigail's disheveled appearance no doubt due to her restless night. "Oh Dear Amigail is something the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost. Not a morning person eh?

Innis smooths down some frazzled hair, brushes some pale dust off of a shoulder and helps the fit around the other woman's collar not unlike a doting mother to her reckless child. "There..." Innis frowns clearly unsatisfied as she critically examines the shorter woman. "...you'd be prettier if you smiled."

Kirzon made his first fort save against the disease. My understanding was he contracted it but didn't lose a point of CON. So he's just at -1 CON now. Otherwise, why did we make a fort save?

Yes sorry Kirzon I looked over my notes. The initial battle noone was actually allowed a saving throw it was an error on my part. I am assuming this is supposed to be the hook that gives everyone incentive to find the cure. Apology for not clarifying this until now. But this now puts you at -2 CON

On another note Boros is not affected by the disease. The disease only affects humanoids. So Boros has no ability damage on him.

Lililinda wrote:

This is your second day of rest since the incident of opening the chest. You will be at -1 WIS. I will update table.

Merelda wrote:

No a save still needs to be made for this.

"I might smile more if the situation weren't so damned grim," Amigail replies tersely, without anger but with a sort of resigned determination to see things through.

Drawing her magical falcata, she turns to the others. "Shall I take the lead?"

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

Hopefully everything is clarified now. Please update your sheet accordingly.

You climb down the long set of steps back into the crypt with a clear purpose to destroy the huecuva. The main entry hall is still littered with the slain ghouls and zombies you first encountered. Stepping through the mangled and disfigured bodies you head for the chamber of the huecuva through the east halls. You see the door is still closed when you enter the room with the juju zombies. Like the entry hall the bodies are still in the same position you left them.

Arange your tokens how you want them.

Got it--then Kirzon is a bit sicker than expected and Boros is feeling much better suddenly!

Question, can Kirzon provide long term care for Lililinda and still recover his spells? If so, Lililinda can fully recover her Wis damage.

Kirzon and Boros make their way to the door, Kirzon nervously wondering if the Huecuva could possibly still be inside.

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

I think that is fine Kirzon. Lililinda all your WIS damage has been cured.

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

ok I take it everyone is fine with where I have placed them...

The door pushes open and the light radiating from Amigail's shield, care of Kirzon's illumination spell, spills into the room. Even those without darkvision can make out a figure clad in full armour sitting upon a large chair. His helmeted face stares down unaware or uncaring that you have just entered his chamber. He does not move and you see no weapon gripped in his flesh-less, bony hands. You follow what he is looking at and you see that a large sea chest lies at his feet.

What do you do?

More than ready for a fight, Kirzon is puzzled as the figure just sits there. "Huh? Ah swear t'was movin' earlier! Mebbe it's a trap!" Kirzon would like to detect for magics, perhaps illusions.

Kirzon starts to cast his divination spell. The figure does nothing to signal it is aware of your presence.

Kirzon stops immediately as something becomes very clear to him. The figure in the chair is not the creature he saw last night!! He is about to shout a warning when you hear a hoarse cry come from behind the party.

There you watch as an attractive blond figure comes into view adorned in immaculate set of armour. The man holds a greatsword in a defensive stance and his hand is outstretched. This facade is soon replaced by the true form of the huecuva. He resembles an emaciated walking corpse with sunken black holes for eyes. His flesh has rotted away from most of his face, revealing large parts of his skull. His long blond hair still clings in sparse patches to his decomposing head. He wears a dusty black cloak over his steel breastplate.

"C'mon Boros, le's get 'im from tha back side!" Kirzon starts dashing off, believing there is some way to get behind the creature. Boros shoots ahead of Kirzon.

Assuming Kirzon and Boros use the Run action (as opposed to just double move), how many rounds would it take to reappear inside the room as shown in the map? I seem to think that is possible from our earlier discussions, but let me know if I misunderstand.

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

It is 115 feet away from where Boros and you began your turn this round. Run would not work here there are too many turns you need to make so it would just as likely increase the time it takes to reach the huecuva (since you need to run straight and it is a full round action). It would take 4 rounds for Kirzon to open the secret door and let Boros have the opportunity to attack.

Cassandra cursed as Amigail got between her and the undead monster. She could still strike it but with Amigail in the way it became much harder to manage. Regardless she struck over her friend's shoulder at the thing, the blow awkward and with less power behind it hoping that she would strike true.

Acrobatics vs DC10: 1d20 ⇒ 16

Amigail tries to strike the creature as it lifts itself from the slick floor. Amigail's falcata rings steel as the huecuva parries the strike.

Amigail and Cassandra both attempt to strike the creature but the attacks miss as the creature steps out of the way of both attacks. Amigail moves back hoping to stay out of the range of the creature's greatsword.

Just then a blast flies from behind the two female frontliners striking the creature unexpectedly in the shoulder. It shrieks as the holy energy burns it.

Lililinda ever the curious gnome casts her spell and quickly starts analyzing the undead creature. She shouts out that she notices the presence of magical auras just as the creature begins to incant another spell. Lililinda recognizes it as a paralysis spell. Hold person
Rd 1 - Presence or absence of magical auras

Using Cassandra's AoO 1 Cassandra swings as the huecuva casts but misses the glaive only catching air. The creatures finishes it's spell and Cassandra feels her muscles start stiffening.

Cassandra make a will save DC 15

Kirzon and Boros take off hoping to cut off the creature in case it looks to escape.
