The scent of rich earth permeates the air as the canyon narrows into a small gully barely wide enough to let the ship through, muddy cliffs bordering each side. The river lulls here, and mud from the overhangs of the walls drips onto the deck as the boat slowly makes its way toward a channel leading to the northeast. During this journey, you start finding leeches that have attached to parts of your bodies. Luckily nothing too bad happened from it.

3 days later.
The light of dawn reveals a ship some six hundred feet to port and fast approaching. Its banner bears a single upthrust spear, and its golden sails sparkle in the morning sun.

Saarai hits the same target with a missile.

The orange guy comes out of the cabin and moves to your ship. Chanting a spell along the way. Once there, he attacks Kuwabara.

damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 + electrical damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
and his spell moves through his blade, dealing extra damage to Kuwabara.
Scorching Ray: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 2, 6) = 12
for a total of 21 damage on the stout fighter.

Yellow, Sick of the missiles flying at him from a specific woman, moves past Zelanda, causing an AoO, and attacks Saarai with a stunning fist.

But in anger, he punches the mast.

Blue swings across a rope to land right in front of Gudrun and tries to stun him.

The remaining pirate follows the yellow but stops at Zelandra and attacks, attempting to stun her.

Kasei will make sure his allies are healed, then check the opponents to see if any are alive. If they are, he will use charges from his wand to stabilize them, and return them to their ship, after taking their gear and getting a promise to leave them be. If the magus is still alive, he will apologize for his ally interfering in their duel, and explain that because the lingshen ship was attacking them outside lingshen territory, they were effectively engaged in piracy, and as such, Kasei feels no obligation to offer the magus another chance at a duel.

The Silver Crusade faction journal card has a goal on it that says, "allow an enemy combatant with no means of escape to flee without further harm." I would think that doing this, healing the foes and returning them to their ship on the agreement that they leave, would qualify for this goal, so I hope that some of them are still alive.

Saraai is probably interested in the magus's spellbook.

Recap, you are currently in Shokuro, a nation controlled by benevolent samurai and you must locate Je Tsun in the village of Nesting Swallow in order to reactivate the dormant powers in the Iroran relic you possess, The Braide of a Hundred Masters.
I am going to say that you docked at a medium size town, so you should be able to restock on necessary items.

Tedium has become a constant companion in the countryside of Shokuro. The roads have dwindled in size and maintenance as the days have passed; what was a wide, stone-paved highway near the river towns has become a narrow, winding track of dust, sometimes fading entirely into the surrounding terrain. Travelers along it have likewise grown scarce as the days drone on. Still, the journey’s end lies no more than half a day’s travel away, in the village of Nesting Swallow, a hamlet so small it could easily vanish into a crease on a map. No more than a few more miles through these sparsely wooded hills and valleys rests the last known home of Master Li Yao, and here, with luck, his descendant still lives. In this speck of farmland may be found one who can, by right of blood, bring forth the forgotten power of the Braid of a Hundred Masters.

Cresting a rise, the trail winds its way up a small hillock that overlooks a large valley beyond. Not far from the hill, a dead mule and overturned cart lie in the middle of the road, two cloaked figures rummaging through the spilled contents of the cart while making disapproving cawing noises to a pair of similarly dressed riders on horseback. Two other horses stand on the side of the road, presumably mounts for the two on foot. The mounted figures loom over a half-dozen shabbily dressed peasants. One of the riders urges his horse forward and makes a threatening slash at the face of a man trying to shield several children behind him.

The rider menacing the family croaks at the father in a harsh tone.

“You want to run? Leave early? We won’t stop you. But it costs! Gold, silver, where is it?”

The group of travelers has grown by one, with the addition of a rather plump, smiling Tien man with skin the color of a statue's bronze. He had been sitting patiently by the side of the road as they traveled through the countryside of Shokuro, and seemed not unlike the many wandering monks and itinerant beggars they might have passed so far-- but when they approached, he had stood with a bow and a smile, and introduced himself as a fellow Pathfinder, charged with helping them finish the last leg of their mission.

In appearance, Guang wears loose, humble monk's robes of coarse cloth, without adornment or elaborate stitching. He has a conical straw hat in the Tien style, and, while he has a walking cane, does not seem to carry many visible weapons. The most striking thing about him visually is the color of his skin, which does make him somewhat resemble statues that the group has passed in their travels in the Dragon Empires.

He has been exceedingly friendly and cheerful during the trip so far.

Guang tuts to himself as he observes the trouble ahead. "The rider demands coins from this family. They obviously cannot have much to give. What unfortunate philosophical errors people make!"

Moving lightly for a man with his physical bulk, Guang jogs forward, an empty hand raised. "Ho-a!" He continues talking to the riders in Tien.

Tien:
"Here now, friend. There is neither profit nor honor in your actions. I place this humble family under the protection of Master Irori; leave them in peace, or as his servant I will regretfully be forced to stop you myself."
