Earlier:
After arriving at his homeland of Shokuro, Kasei is happy to lead the others through his town of birth, where a smith has completed a suit of armor for him that he ordered months ago. Now resplendent in the proper attire for a samurai, he leads the way along the road to Nesting Swallow.
Now:
"Bandits! Face the purging light of Shizuru!"
The bushi moves forward, drawing his bow, and fires an arrow at the tengu highwayman. Using Fervor to cast Divine Favor as a swift action.
Longbow: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9

Gudrun had remained his usual stoic self for the majority of the groups journey, rarely commenting except when required. The dwarf clearly longed for a more subterranean assignment that utilized his mechanical expertise, but he continued on with their current mission undeterred. The dwarf had barely had chance to adjust to their newest travelling companion when they'd found themselves assailed by new enemies.
As the enemy readies to attack them, Gudrun moves up alongside Kuwabara, drawing his sword in the process.

One early morning during their travels
A blonde haired elven suddenly teleports right next to Zalanda. ”Hello and Good Morning!!” With that, Kreighton Shaine, the Pathfinder Society’s Master of Scrolls, nimbly drops down to sit cross-legged on the ground before looking about the area with a sense of reverent wonder. ”Ahh, the Dragon Empries it has been a long time. But I …. I mean we are not staying long.” He says while waving his hand at Zalanda. ”Today is a special day for you. Today you will begin your Confirmation! Master Farabellus, Master Zey, and I all agree you have shown your worth and dedication to the Society, so there’s no better time to see if you can handle becoming a full field operative.” He then turns to the others. ”Don’t worry I will bring her back once she has finished …… assuming she survives. Well good day” And with that he pulls out a scroll chants a few words and both him and Zalanda disappear.
A few days later
Zalanda sudden shows up next to Kasei while he is buying his armor. ”Well arn’t you going to buy a pretty lady something?” She give the man a smile and wink.
Before battle
Zalanda greets the monk warmly and chats with him while traveling enjoying his company greatly.
Guang I will take the wand and use it on you and Zalanda and anyone else that would like it.

Duskin gets, as usual, scared with the new threat. He's probably the most coward pathfinder ever! Nevertheless, he clearly isn't the most creative. He moves behind Kasei, hiding, and summons another of his Shadow Eagles (around 20 feet above the ground), which he immediately orders to charge (from above; the square in front of the enemy is still empty, so someone can move there if they decide to) and bite one of the enemies ([red]).
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Zalanda begins to dance in place drawing a scroll off her belt as she moves. Near the end of her dance she sings a quick phrase off the scroll.
Cast Sleep DC 16 from the scroll
School enchantment (compulsion) [mind-affecting]; Level bard 1, sorcerer/wizard 1
Casting Time 1 round
Components V, S, M (fine sand, rose petals, or a live cricket)
Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area one or more living creatures within a 10-ft.-radius burst
Duration 1 min./level
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
A sleep spell causes a magical slumber to come upon 4 HD of creatures. Creatures with the fewest HD are affected first. Among creatures with equal HD, those who are closest to the spell's point of origin are affected first. HD that are not sufficient to affect a creature are wasted. Sleeping creatures are helpless. Slapping or wounding awakens an affected creature, but normal noise does not. Awakening a creature is a standard action (an application of the aid another action). Sleep does not target unconscious creatures, constructs, or undead creatures.

(I don't mean to be a dick either-- it's just that if no GM has ever pointed this out to you before, they should have; I would hate for you to reach level 7 or 8 and attempt to use a scroll in this fashion and have the GM shut you down, and for you to realize you've wasted a lot of gold, at that point, on scrolls that don't work the way you think they do. Just trying to save you an 'oh crap' moment further down the line.)

Kuwabara aims an arrow at the tengu then sneezes and lets the arrow fly into the ground.
Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
The puppet masters shadows appear behind the Red Tengu and attack. Lashing into him for some decent damage.
Gudrun moves up to guard Kuwabara.
Guang moves up and readys for an attack.
Zelanda pulls out a scroll and starts to read from it.
The two mounted Tengu take off into the forest, as if getting reinforcements, each taking a shot at Guang while they ride away.

"Hut!" Guang says as the bandits do not close with him. "If you will not come to me, I will come to you!"
He races into the brush on the side of the road and closes with one of the bandits, his arms reaching out to grab the raider in a head-and-arm-lock.
Improved Grapple vs Orange: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
"I will be unable to catch up with these people once they get on their horses," he calls out calmly to his friends. "Perhaps someone else has better options."
In Tien, he calls out to the family, "Please take cover. We will deal with these dishonorable ones, but I would be grieved if you came to accidental harm."

Kuwabara shoots again and missed, then says a Japanese curse word which roughly translates to s..... もともと上手になるよ。
Guang goes and jumps onto the Tengu who was riding away. might not have been a good move.
Zelanda targets a random Tengu and fires off the sleep spell, which fails.
The Green Tengu charges through the Gudrun and attacks.

Standard to maintain the grapple: 1d20 + 10 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 5 = 22 Presumed success; I'll escalate the grapple to pinned.
(Tien) "You should probably surrender," Guang says cheerfully to the raider he is giving a nice big bear hug to.

As the tengu moves past Gudrun swings at it with his blade.
Mwk Short Sword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 181d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
However, a combination of his pre-existing injuries, alongside the renewed attacks proves too much for the dwarf and he staggers under the agony of his injuries.
I'm staggered and could definately use some help.
Hands covered in his own blood, Gudrun staggers back towards his allies.

Well, I'm mentally envisioning that I'm now on the back of the horse behind the tengu, one arm wrapped around him in a bear hug pinning one of the tengu's arms to his body, and with my other performing a half-nelson (thus limiting his other arm's motion and forcing his head down as well), if that's a clear description, but ultimately I defer to what you think is feasible for my position. *shrug*

This is the spell from the first round. You asked me for a target location and a DC.

GM Amsheagar |

Reread the thread. I made that attack roll back here.
That is a grapple check. Steps to take while grappling are here.
Which basically says you need to make a touch attack and hit first (1), then as a free action grapple check (2), then you can pin the next round. So far, I only see two grapple checks.

Okay, Rolled once for that, i'll roll for the second guy now. However, DC and DC type (Fort, Will, Refelx) that's the important part.
Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

The Blue Tengu falls asleep.

Guang shakes his head sorrowfully. "I wish that you had surrendered, friend," he informs the tengu that he is manhandling, in Tien. "It gives me no pleasure to do this..."
