never intended to escape custody. heck three meals a day and a warm bed... better than the streets.
I actually think Noro is pretty much set anyway.
not enough to add Brawling armor ability to her chain shirt.

Gear:
Imaginary Ring of Protection +1
Imaginary Amulet of Natural Armour +1
Imaginary Cloak of Protection +1
Pearl of Power I
Scroll of Invisibility to replenish the lost one
Another Scroll of Invisibility because it is a very nice spell : )
total: 6500gp
+~4000gp of previous stuff
= 10500 aka level 5 wealth
Freia |
I guess we will wait so that Halsanna and Zayid (and Aboki!) gets a chance to pick up some stuff as well . )
@Plan - How do we want to do this?
I think our last plan was sneaky so is it time to just kick in the door and chew bubblegum?
(Might not be the wisest plan IC, but it seems more fair then just having half of us sneak about and the other half watching :P)
Thoughts : )?
Zayid Tumaini |
I think I'll go with a Stone of Alliance and an Amulet of Mighty Fists +1. Total of 9k... that and the wand should put Zayid right around WBL.
Zayid Tumaini |
Yeah. It's not game-changing, but it's cool. Now I just need a way for him to be telepathic without spending oodles of money... :)

Category Alchemical WeaponsDescription
This vivid green gel instantly crystallizes into needle-like shards upon contact with the air. You can throw a flask of shard gel as a splash weapon. A direct hit deals 1d4 points of piercing damage as the shards penetrate the target’s flesh. The target’s square and each square adjacent to it are covered in shards that function like caltrops. The caltrops last for 5 rounds before dissolving into harmless green sludge. Any effect that deals sonic damage to an area (such as sound burst or shout) immediately destroys all gel shards in that area. Crafting a flask of shard gel is a DC 20 Craft (alchemy) check.

Save or no save?
While Freia is probably leaning more towards good then neutral at the moment (maybe even enough to update her alignment - thoughts?) we are quite recognizable. Not that many blue and white patterned tieflings around - nor any crazy cat persons :P
(And I think Noro will manage to make quite the [fist/kick shaped] impression too! Halsanna is probably the most discreet of us, come to think of it ... But I'm not sure how common archery is either inside a city? And her other, newer, tricks are probably also quite unique if she chooses to reveal them!)
On the other hand the Sorrows does not seem to keep people on as short of a leash as one would expect, given that numerous tears have snuck out and back in again. And we do have the 'Zayid is a were rat!!' excuse if we really really need one!
Thoughts =)? Or would you prefer more spontaneous action Choon (I know at some periods I check the board quite often, so I'm probably the first to notice things - not sure if I feel comfortable roping people along which is why I get these 'thoughts?' post up all the time :P)?
Freia is probably leaning towards saving at the moment : )
Me'mori |
Halsanna is leaning towards "save" as well, but is also realizing that if they cannot do so in one round as a surprise, word will spread. That may outpace them in getting towards their target and allow them some warning.
I am now adding Smokesticks to Halsanna's inventory going forward. The Spark cantrip is suddenly more useful.. *ponders ninja ideas*

"The gang that calls themselves the Hearteaters has grown at an alarming pace ever since the riots. The poor and desperate have been practically flocking to their banner. This has made them enemies, particularly the Tooth and Claw boys, but that hasn't done much more than give them a foe to rally against. Right now the two are skirmishing all over the Docklands and it's all we can do to prevent a full blown gang war.
They also happen to be the ones who have cornered the market on Wolfsbane. I'll give you one guess what that warehouse you found is full of.
My fear is that the Hearteaters are planning something huge. If somehow they infect enough citizens with Lycanthropy it could start to spread at a rate faster than the Watch or us can handle. Should that happen... pandemonium. People dead in the streets. It would make the Riots look like a peaceful protest."
So basically what he said was - "You are in luck today. Beat the snot out of us and get a headstart on your quest!"
I think :P
Freia |
Uh yeah. I think that is a bit of a flaw with Freia's build at the moment - her to-hit bonus are quite crap. Especially once she spends her swift action on not boosting the magicness of her weapon nor use her magical weapon to start with.
But once she hits things gets easier : )
(And she does have Arcane Accuracy to boost with if she really really needs to!)
Noro_Kas |
Arcane boost, arcane accuracy, with magic weapon boost, and shift magic here to there while charging the turboencabulator fitted to the ambifacient lunar waneshaft to create a parsec neuron flux in the time-space continuum to give me a +2 to hit creatures that have two red eyes.....
just shut up and punch the damn thing already
Freia |
Yes! : )
Note: I'm not sure in which order things actually apply, but the poor sod may have to include his total of -6 Dex when making his Reflex save. And the -2 from Freia's Aura of Misfortune : )
Freia |
Been sorta preoccupied with stuff, both reasonable and purely for my own amusement. But things *should* clear up after next week, if nothing randomly goes to hell. Hopefully not.
But I'll try to kick this back into gear, starting with trying to make sure Newt doesn't spread the word of our exploits (and thus paint a target on us or him, or 'blow our cover') around too much : )
Freia |
I was thinking if Halsanna and Zayid were helping to drag the prisoner along. Or you want to stay outside guys?
Freia |
I'm thinking we need to figure out some cool/heroic/impressive speech/monologue/stunt to pull off and inspire those prisoners.
Anyone has any ideas : )?
Freia |
I've been thinking; what if all those people (looking like they have been ripped from their beds) are lycanthropes?
Trying to get them into the fight would certainly suck then :P
Hmm...
Freia |
Trying to figure out something suitably invigorating to tell the other prisoners and how to get out of here in one piece, preferably while still completing our assignment.
Got a vague idea but it is still maturing - gonna have to think on it until tomorrow while Noro trashes her second guy :P
Freia |
So; speech not as heroic as I hoped. Hopefully enough :P
To recap the quick plan:
1) get Z under the veil of Invisibility to find the cure and with a bit of luck - steal some.
2) get 'hungry prisoners' to escort our prisoners out, hopefully without eating them or something. We will utilize Newt's home as a gathering point (poor guy).
3) create big great distraction to facilitate 2) and our own continued existence. Freia is thinking that lighting the place on fire will sufficiently alter the priorities of the nearby thugs (hopefully without burning down the city or mentally scaring Freia too much).
Thoughts?
(Also all that talking probably takes more then 6 sec, so Noro has plenty of time to interject something or simply beat up the thug a bit more for good measure :P)
Freia |
Soooo I'm going to take your silence as 'yes Freia burn it down - burn it ALL down MAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!'.
Or something similar :P
(But since people may still be enjoying their weekend, I'm going to hold off until tomorrow before doing this really stupid thing...^^)
Freia |
pssst Choon! I noticed that 'create a supervillain' thread and noticed you needed some damage. Made some back-of-the-envelope (notebook really!) damage calcs for Freia with the stuff the PCs are supposed to have : )
Spell Perfection
Empower Spell
Spell Hunter
Intensify Spell
Arcane Surge Mythic Path Ability
Disintegrate Mythic Spell
Close Arcana
Mythic Vital Strike
Greater Vital Strike
+5 Weapon
+6 Belt
+5 Inherent Bonus
Boots of Speed
Luckstone
gives a total attack routine of +40/40/40/35/30/25 (the to-hit really starts to suffer for Magis apparently) plus one Vital Strike of +40
The damage per strike is typically just 1d6+43 but the first hit also delivers a 105d6 Disintegrate (+3d6 Con) as well as the vital strike at the end (with Arcane Surge'd Disintegrate) for an extra 4d6+172 as well as 420d6 (+4d6 Con).
Assuming no crits and that all hit (probably a bard lurking around hopefully :P) it works out to an average of ~2300 damage (+24.5 Con).
I'm fairly sure devious PCs can pile some extra bonuses to that (spell-storing certainly). A really mean person would probably just pick 6 levels of Magi for the Spellstrike /w other list Arcana and find a nicer touch to work with!
(or use the Myrmidarch/*newer magic archer* archetype and mix it up with the usual archery tricks [then you can use Augmented Disintegrate for that sweet sweet extra ray!)
Edit: above should include MPower Attack.
/w feats Spell Perfection (Telekinesis), [Greater] Weapon Focus (Dagger), [Greater] Weapon Specialization (Dagger), Deadly Aim, Clustered Shots, Improved Critical (Dagger)
/w mythic feats Weapon Focus, Deadly Aim
/w lots of arrows/bolts (Enchanted using Arcane Pool or Giant Pile of Money Pool), Headband of Int +6, Wish of +5 Int, Those Sweet Gauntlets of +2 Weapon Training
does while casting telekinesis and throwing a bunch of arrows
+58 1d6+49 (17-20x2) x15
and upon any critical hit he triggers the Eldritch Knight Capstone and does it again! Or uses that really nice Mythic Arcane Surge to cast it anyhow. If accuracy is needed can use Arcane Accuracy Arcana for an extra +17 to hit.
Notes: Scales very well with any damage buffs
GM Choon |
That's pretty scary and good to know. If you want you can totally work on the cohort I had planned: a Adamantine golem with a template that gives it sentience. Then you modify it (or it modifies itself) up to 40 hd. Its special ability? Gains full heading from my collective.
Feel free to work on that one. ;)
The biggest problem I have is gathering enough hit points to not be one-shot. But that's my problem for now. :)
Freia |
Hmm. Yeah, lore is always tough to figure out. The first thing that comes into mind is Simic/Project Kraj of Magic the Gathering (but they are of the more druid/bioengineer blend).
Simic is one of them and they are one of the two guilds in charge with caring for nature. Now, being one giant city and all, nature is pretty much gone. So their goal is instead to create a stronger, more adapt, nature that can coexist with civilization. To that end they play with bioengineering/magic.
Their most significant/known technology is something called cytoplast (sp?) which basically acts as fleshy magic superglue/substitute. Got your arm eaten by a deamon? Simic can hook you up with a new. Got your eyes gouged out by a street thug? They can fix that too.
Needless to say there is quite the demand for the stuff and most people would rather pick that then trying to live without a limb.
Now the fun stuff, Experiment Kraj, is a project to awaken all that cytoplasm and merge it into one singular entity to wipe out civilization and truly begin a reign of 'nature'.
So selling cytoplasm (being nice and healing people) is merely an means to an end (fund and distribute Project Kraj).
Or steal some inspiration from Ursula (little mermaid) and only 'help' people in exchange for something you need for your evil plot!

@Adamantine Golem - I can take a look at it, but can't promise anything. I'm only off the hook from work/school for until thursday :P

On topic of our actual game Freia's roll doesn't seem so hot. We might need a Noro-smash to get out of here (and it is probably Noro's action too, since Freia tried something)!
