Definitely both. Much as I appreciate the idea of coming back and gaming with you guys again, I think PbP just doesn't work out with my life. I can only ever seem to play for little while before I wind up in a situation where I'm likely to miss for weeks at a time...and Ridley would appreciate knowing her stuff, and muscle tissue, benefited the group in some way :)

Sad to see you go Ridley... I've been pondering much about PbP also, as RL has really started to pick up lately, but I guess it is just a matter of choosing your games judiciously - I know I am not leaving this one ;)

Raziel will pass on having a 'side of Ridley' - he's really not a strong eater. Now, if we split the gear... :D

Never used herolab. I do everything by hand.


Yeah, I did yours, Hound's and Ridley's first because I guessed you hadn't used Hero Lab going by the layout (HL has a certain format to the way they output statblocks that's easy to recognize.) I think Ogrim and Q looked like HL users maybe so I'm waiting to see if I can get .por's before I do there's manually.

The way you organize your profile is very nice by the way.

So I think I've miscalculated the number of arrows used so far, so I'll send over the .por after I straighten that out. I have to dig through the posts though. If I had to guess, Q has used 26 arrows so far and picked up 40 more from the gnoll archers. I need to be better about bookkeeping in the future.

Thanks. I am not a big fan of the Herolab layout. Half the stuff I am looking for is not there, the crunched format is confusing, and the layout for skills is hard because you have to recalculate everything to determine where ranks and bonuses are.

I like to know how things are done - where ability bonuses come from, what levels I chose skill vs hp for favored class, what my rolls were each level for hp, what level I got each feat. With my current layout, most of this info is available.

Must be an extra pain in PbP especially if you're not used to a DM that wants resources tracked.

When I was a kid we had little boxes on the sheet and we crossed them out as we shot. Much more fun then opening up a profile and editing it constantly.

Let's see, what if you just put it at the end of your posts? A tally.

That way only one profile edit per combat.

50% of your misses are retrievable too, you know that?

Yeah the HeroLab statblock seems like something quick and dirty for GM's to use for NPC's to reference in combat I guess. Even then it's not as nice as a bestiary statblock.

For a player character I can't imagine not wanting a full sheet.

You would not believe how many players just cut and paste from HeroLab. Drives me nuts when I am trying to find something on someone's character sheet.
