I need to be at my computer for these encounters, so it’s not stuff I can do at lunch.
I double-checked the rule and it’s a bit different.
You can’t move diagonally through a square with a solid wall.
Also, can’t get past two people side-by-side just by moving diagonally.
Basically, I’m going with the idea that you can lean into one square or the other with a diagonal move, so you will have to choose which square to deal with.
For instance, if one square is a pit and the other has an orc: you can try to jump the pit or tumble past the orc.

No doubt! I'm surprised you've kept up as much as you have, with that on your plate! I have no problem delaying a bit until that's settled; I know it can be chaotic.
