Yaaaay, free feats! Thank you GM and high five on the great RP, guys!
There're so many good ones. Summon Good Monster, Summon Versatile Monster, Extra Evolution... But I've decided to go with Spell Focus: Conjuration to bump up the DCs of my soon-to-have battlefield control spells. Hopefully soon Izbela will be able to do more in combat than just miss with her crossbow.
Algon, if he gets a free feat as well, will take Cleave. But if not, I understand. He was mostly just a background extra in those scenes anyway.
Akuleh Speaks With Ancients
I'm gonna do my part to catch up some in the DPR department here and take Power Attack. Now attacks with the longspear will really mean some damage.
Kadrian Deverin
Kadrian will take Extra Panache for his bonus feat.
Rak Opal
Rak will take Bludgeoner for his bonus feat.
Kadrian Deverin
Hey everybody! My wife and I will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary Thursday, so no posts tomorrow from me. I'm be back on Friday.
Rak Opal
In just a couple of hours, I'm heading out of town for my cousin's wedding. I'll be mostly out of touch until Sunday PM. When I'm able to get on, I'll have more of an opportunity to read and less to post due to the type of device I'll have with me, so feel free to bot me if I'm causing a delay.
Akuleh Speaks With Ancients
Congrats to you and your wife, Kadrian!
And have a great time, Rak!
Rak Opal
This is a heads-up that I'm going to be traveling tomorrow through Monday (26-29 Oct) and will likely not be able to post while I'm away. Please bot me if I'm holding anything up.
As for Gameplay, I was thinking that we actually still had areas to explore in this complex, but not I'm not sure. I'm not seeing anything in Roll20. Are we done at the Glassworks?
The Many-Faced GM
It is with deep regret that I must halt this campaign. I will leave it active for a few days so everyone has a chance to chime in on whether or not you want to try and find a replacement GM. I am truly sorry to have to abandon this game but the for the last four months I've been trying to deal with some personal issues that have left me no time to do adequate prep work and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
You guys have been a lot of fun.
Akuleh Speaks With Ancients
Very sorry to see you go, GM! You've been great fun to play with. I sincerely hope things work out for the better for you.
As for continuing the game, I am definitely up for going on. There's been some really amazing role play between the four of us that I would hate to lose out on. If we can continue on for a bit, it would be great to at least finish book 1. Does anyone (including the GM of course) know how far we are from reaching that point?
Izbela Vauni
Very sorry to hear the news, Many-Faced GM, but I completely understand. Life takes precedence and I hope the issues in yours are resolved soon and favorably, of course. It's been so great to be a part of this game. Your descriptions and your portrayals of even the most minor NPCs were always engaging and entertaining. You will be missed.
I would love to continue on if we can find someone to pick this game up. I started playing Pathfinder just a little over two years ago now and this is one of the first games I was accepted into. All of you have taught me so much not just about playing the game but also about good role-playing, and I would be very sad to see it come to an end just now. As for how much we have left of the first book, from what little I know I think all that's left is to explore Thistletop and deal with Nualia.

This campaign was my first foray into the forums as well. It sucks, but I understand, Many-Faced.
And Bela, we'll always have the Vauni front door.| Rak Opal |
I am definitely open to continuing. I think Rak has some places to go, and we've definitely had some of the best roleplay I've seen on these boards.
Akuleh Speaks With Ancients
It seems like at least the majority of us do want to carry on with the campaign if we find a new GM (Kadrian, your answer was a little vague to my reading).
So, assuming we want to follow through with that desire, how should we go about soliciting a GM to take over for us? If the rest of you are alright with it, I'm thinking I could pop into the Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge and see if anyone in there could at least get us to the end of book 1. Any objections to that? Other ideas?
Izbela Vauni
None here either. The only other idea I had would have been posting in the recruitment forum, but I like your idea.
GM Elberion
Hello!
I’d be willing to pick up this game.
I’ve done some pbp GMing before, mostly PFS, but had a lot of real-life stuff take me away and now that’s sorted I am only playing in a few games.
I have run RotRL in real-life up to half-way through book two and have played book one on the boards three times, each one crashing out eventually, so I know what it’s like.
I’ll have to read through the gameplay and get to know your characters but consider this a tentative offer of help.
GM Elberion
Just read through your character profiles. Looks like a cool bunch.
GM Elberion
Just got to the start of your conversations with Aldern Foxglove.
I laughed out loud, great stuff.

Hiya, GM Elberion!
Thanks so much for taking a look at our game to see if you could step in for us. If you have any questions for us as you get caught up, please let us know.
Rak Opal
Thanks so much! Take whatever time you need to catch up to our game, and let us know when you're ready to take over! :)
GM Elberion
Getting there.
I have asked Paizo to hand over the keys.
I'll have some questions for you all pretty soon, just to help me understand the gameplay.
Thank you for the positivity.
GM Elberion
I'm going to put your PCs builds in herolab so that I can keep track.
Do any of you have herolab files for your characters which you could send to me?
Akuleh Speaks With Ancients
Sorry, can't help you there, Elberion. I haven't yet joined in the fun of HeroLab, though I'm very interested to try it sometime.
GM Elberion
Is everyone okay with google slides for maps?
Akuleh Speaks With Ancients
I tend to prefer Slides, actually, since I can actually use it on mobile and occasionally at work!
GM Elberion
Just a reminder, you can examine/study the strange bits of the area where you found the quasit, you can further explore the tunnels or you can head back to the surface (maybe even prepare to visit Thistletop?).
In any case, the game’s afoot!
GM Elberion
Hello,
Do you all want to keep this game going?
I posted in gameplay 8 days ago and am waiting for players to engage?!
Are there some crossed wires here?
Rak Opal
We're approaching Thanksgiving here in America, so this is an early heads-up that I won't be available starting Wed afternoon through Sunday evening. I won't have access to either my home or work computers, so I don't expect to be able to post at all during my absence. Please bot me as needed!
Rak Opal

We had been playing at a remarkably slow rate of play before you joined us, Elberion, and I guess I'd chalked that up to the GM's pacing. Perhaps it's been us?
I'm on the boards daily as a regular PFS player, so I can keep up a daily posting rate during the week, and would love to do that with this game. Maybe we need to have a quick discussion to make sure we're all on the same page regarding posting expectations.
GM Elberion
Oh right. I didn’t really clock posting rates at all.
I was just worrying that it might have halted. Changing GMs can take the energy out of a game.
GM Elberion
I've been slow this week because something had stuck in the gears and my computer was barely registering the existence of the internet.
Back up to speed now.
GM Elberion
Kadrian, I think you may have spent too many skill points (2) and Varisians get Varisian as a bonus language so you have one starting language extra to choose.
GM Elberion
It looks like KatGrey's last post on the forums, with any alias, was her post here on the 1st of the month.
I've sent a PM.
I don't want to push the adventure forward from here until you are all ready so we'll be in a holding pattern for a bit.
Kadrian Deverin
I believe the extra 2 skill points are background skills, other than that I think my skill points are correct. As for languages, I was going off the Core Rulebook that Humans only start off with Common (taldane), and had to take Varisian as an additional language.
GM Elberion
The languages are from Humans of Golarion, if I remember right.
Also, if we are using background skills then you have more skills to spend.

Oh, and as above, Shoanti is free for you so you have one more language available.
GM Elberion
Wait, did Many-Faced only give you background skills at first level? Rather than the whole background skills system?
Also, Kadrian, you have two social traits. You'll need to swap out influence (as you've already used the money from Rich Parents). There are faith traits (ease of faith, honest), equipment traits (extremely fashionable) and racial traits (world traveller) which will do the job.
Akuleh Speaks With Ancients
Thanks for the new array, Elberion! I'll have to copy that over. Seems pretty handy!
GM Elberion
It looks like Rak and Izbela have full background skills but not Kadrian and Akuleh.
Let’s go for full background skills all round.
Akuleh Speaks With Ancients
Got my profile updated with the new template you provided. Thanks again for helping me put that together! Did you use a program for that or did you do all that manually?

That’s Herolab.
It automatically generates the bulletin board code and structures the info.
