Ah, yeah. Sorry, meant to say the Suggestion spell.

Heh...the spell description doesn't define "a harmful act." And it doesn't delineate whether such an act is harmful if it harms the target of the spell (like suggesting you walk off a cliff), or if it harms someone else (like suggesting you attack another person).

I designed the casting to have the ability to try and influence the actions of others via the Suggestion spell. The suggestion given to you Gezzo was that you guard the device in the middle of the room from being tampered with, which I thought was a "reasonable suggestion."

Since you wouldn't necessarily be "harmed" by guarding and preventing others from damaging the device, you would be inclined to take whatever actions deemed appropriate - including being intimidating/diplomatic, pushing an intruder out of the way, or if necessary threatening them with harm.

That's my interpretation of the appropriate mind-set caused by the spell. If you have different thoughts, we can discuss.

Quite an achievement! Of course it's less for me since I stepped in to fill Celif's sandals, but this is still my longest-running PbP game (and the second I ever joined).

Thank you all for accepting me into the fold and for being such great gaming companions... and three cheers to our illustrious Story Master for making this an adventure we want to continue!

It is really remarkable that we are still together for such a long period of time. I credit you folks, who I enjoy GMing for so much. Your creativity has made the whole experience unforgettable!

Sorry for being quiet lately, folks. I'm out in the boonies and rely on cellular for my Internet connection, and the one tower I can reliably reach (apparently) went out of service for about a week. When I could get any signal at all it was a single bar of 1x. Most sites would time out instead of loading -- I guess today's Web just isn't built for sub-dialup speeds.

Things are still slow but at least it's back and seemingly stable.

That is a lot of fire. Good call on the heatstone. I was considering getting a campfire bead but it looks like we won't need it. Any other suggestions?

Hahaha... nono, sorry for the confusion! The left column is total line-item cost in GP. Copy-paste out of a spreadsheet sans the column headers wasn't the brightest move, I guess! It's only Alchemist's Fire x4, to add to the two she already has; 20 GP each for a total cost of 80.

For future reference, cold iron simply doubles the cost of an item. And while I can't seem to find the reference, to the best of my knowledge arrows or bolts in special materials like cold iron come in packs of 50 (versus 20 for regular ones), the same as the batch size for crafting magical ammunition.

I have never had a player use the feat, so it would be a learning opportunity. I have no objections, and your charisma is certainly high enough to attract a cohort and perhaps some followers.

Sorry for my long disappearance. Paizo has been down for me until now.

For everyone, I think. There's a big red notice/apology on the main page. Apparently Paizo's getting a huge influx of new users (which is a good thing). I just now got a "goblins in the server" page as well, so they may have moved to new/additional servers or something to help with the load. I guess we'll see.

I've personally had additional difficulties connecting thanks to the cell towers here being clogged (in response to a wave of tornadoes).

I have had some trouble connecting on occasion recently as well. Hopefully they will sort it all out soon.

I think we are ready to go. Can we go to initiative?

So now that this campaign is on hiatus, what does everybody else want to do?
