I may not be able to post from work today. Story Master, if things break loose quickly, feel free to 1)burn wand charges helping anyone who needs it before what I presume is the coming fight, and 2)bot Celif fully as necessary. Thanks!
Cеlif
Apologies to all for the terse second post this morning. I was at work just before a meeting and that was all I was able to bang out. Didn't know if we'd be going straight into melee or not, and wanted Gezzo to have a fair shot at survival. :o)
Cеlif
Sound suggestion, thanks. Though it's not currently prepared and she has no slots of the appropriate level open, so that'd be a tomorrow thing.
Cеlif
Presuming what's been found is discussed, I think Celif should take one of the light crossbows and a batch of bolts. She doesn't have much in the way of ranged weaponry at present. Any objections?
Also Gezzo, did you hang onto that journal or pass it back? Doesn't matter to me, I just need to know if I should track it on her sheet. Thanks!
Oh... and as I've cautioned before, I'm new to the cleric biz. Any time anyone needs healing and it doesn't look like Celif's getting around to it, please don't hesitate to speak up! (And thanks again, Flug.)
Cеlif
Okay, doesn't matter to me who carries it; I'll notate it on her sheet.
Each casting of Bless Water takes 5 pounds of powdered silver.
Heh, there's a perfect example of "new to the cleric biz." I wasn't aware Bless Water used non-negligible material components. And five pounds per instance? Wow, they really don't want people creating holy water, do they! :oP

Hi Everyone,
I will be traveling on business until monday. I should be able to post but it will be less often. If I am holding up the group, Story master please position me as needed. I will not have access to FB and the maps so I may need help with that if get into such a situation.

I know it's magic and not supposed to make logical sense but it seems really silly to me to use 5 lbs of silver to make a 1 pound flask of holy water.

That reminds me of an encounter I ran one time. I had a particularly nasty incubus attack the party. As part of it's treasure, I put a 5 lb bag of turmeric on it's belt. The party couldn't understand why a demon would have a 5 lb bag of turmeric.
I told them about what you just said, magic's not logical...especially demon magic.

Sorry about the delay on the Perception check. For about the next six weeks I'm only able to post mornings, evenings, and weekends. I'll still be able to read and keep up with the action during the work day, but no posting. Thanks for your patience!
Fener
I will be traveling this week. 22nd to 27th. I will be in the US and have access but my postings may be a bit slow.
I will also be traveling May 4-May 11th. I will be out of the country. Again I should have access but here it will be more difficult to post.
In either case, If you have not seen a post in 24 hrs, please move on. Story Master please post for Fener if it becomes needed to move the story along. i also may request help with mapping as I do not have FB on my work computer.
Cеlif
Sorry about the recent delays, folks. I relocated my computer last weekend and ran into some issues. It took longer than expected to get everything set up, connected, and running properly again.
The spell Summon Monster takes 1 full round to cast. That is probably what you are thinking of.
Yes, and the way my local GMs interpret that is, "It takes your entire round to summon, so the creature won't appear until the end of your round and therefore will be available to attack or act on your next round."
Feel free to cite a Paizo-endorsed alternative interpretation, as I'd love to get that changed in our games! :o)

Looks like my comment to this thread didn't stick either. I wonder if I hit the boards right when they were glitching? A GM in another game said he was having problems last night, too. And at one point I did see a "network is unreachable" or something... I thought it was my connection at this location (which is still unstable, but I'm working on it).
Anyway, I'll try again to say that I'm slammed for time right now. It should ease up in the next couple of days, but: Story Master, feel free to bot Celif if necessary to move things forward. I should be able to post at least once a night for now, though.
Well, if the posts actually go through! Bah.

Knowledge (Common): Any of you who have written on parchment know that the sand is a common use for absorbing wet ink after writing with a quill or pen.
Well I did not know that, despite having spent many years doing calligraphy and illumination (including a huge gilded piece for a gentleman's 102nd birthday). Granted I only used an actual quill pen for one project, but much of my work was with dip pens, which is very much the same principle.
Thanks Story Master, I learned something new ("old?") today. Very cool!

Fener grabs his staff and stands behind everyone else. Well behind since he is wiser now.
Fener, thank you for the morning laugh! :o)
Cеlif
Upon seeing Celif fall, the wolf kneels down and growls a syllable, slashing the air above the cleric. Trailing its claws is still the same total absence of light but seeming darker than before. It reaches out and touches Celif with it.
1. "Thank you so much for that, Flug!"
2. "HEY! Stop messing with my dramatic 'senseless death' scene!"
Pick one.
(Seriously, thank you. I knew it was a dimwit move, but it was that or Ready/Delay which wasn't going to do anyone any good... and I really didn't expect her to get hit that hard. Celif owes you a drink at the tavern and a Cure Moderate...)
Cеlif
After recovering from the embarrassment... of assuming that Celif would be free and eager to help Gezzo and the realization that not only had I interrupted her while she was meditating...
Just to put your mind at ease Imowen, it was Gezzo who interrupted her meditation, here. Celif wasn't upset with you; she was indulging in a little schadenfreude and seeing Gezzo as simply getting what he deserved. Apologies if the intent of my post was unclear.
Bottom line: No need to be embarrassed, at least not on Celif's account. We're good.

When I went to enter this into Hero Lab I noticed a discrepancy. Looking back through earlier posts I find this:
XP Earned:
Prior Post = 8080
Defeating Skeleton Warriors in Bell Tower 135
Defeating Zombie Monks 420
Total = 8635
Next Level (5) = 10,000 XP
Clarification, please?

Hey everyone, sorry I have been away, things are getting really tricky with my work schedule and I am traveling quite a bit more.
I am having trouble being committed to this game and need to bow out of it. I just like to do things 100% and am finding I can not with the game anymore. Its been a long run and you all have been great.
I wish everyone the best and hope that you keep the group running for a few more years.
All the Best,
Story Master

I figured you were on travel. Sorry to see you go, will keep you hooked in to the FB group. Let us know if there is an opportunity later on to rejoin the game.

Aw, it just won't be the same without our friendly local Valgaardian Druid picking sticks and leaves out of his beard. :o(
Be well, Fener. Please consider coming back when you're able!
