Dru dodges under the creature's attacks and scoots right up underneath it.
Spending 1 panache to move into its square.
Reminder: This movement does not count against the mouser’s movement the next round, and it doesn’t provoke attacks of opportunity. While the mouser is within a foe’s space, she is considered to occupy her square within that foe’s space. While the mouser is within her foe’s space, the foe takes a –4 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks not made against the mouser, and all of the mouser’s allies that are adjacent to both the foe and the mouser are considered to be flanking the foe. The mouser is considered to be flanking the foe whose space she is within if she is adjacent to an ally who is also adjacent to the foe. The mouser can move within her foe’s space and leave the foe’s space unhindered and without provoking attacks of opportunity, but if the foe attempts to move to a position where the mouser is no longer in its space, the movement provokes an attack of opportunity from the mouser.
So as long another PC is adjacent to us, we are flanking it. It gets -4 to attack anyone other than me. If it tries to move away, I get an AoO.
Dru continues to fight defensively from her new underfoot position.

Initiative order:
Sable
Agni
Druscillia
Me
Emma
Sable wings a couple of arrows in it's general direction, but is unable to get one to land.
Agni backs up, her focus on defense prevents her from dropping her guard as she does.
Druscillia manages to draw blood from within the area the creature takes up, using her size to great advantage.
Noticing the Halfling inside it's space, not unlike you would notice a pebble in your shoe, it attacks Druscillia, attempting to smash the life from her.
Attack Rolls (2 slams): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 81d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage Rolls: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 71d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Even with her focus on defense, one of the tentacles manages to land a blow on Druscillia.
Emma's attack goes wide, due to the chaos of the melee.
Forgot to do this last time (and will not backtrack) but I will apply it this round.
Druscillia: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
1d8 ⇒ 1
As the creature begins it's turn, Druscillia finds herself sinking into the earth. You will take 1 point of bleed damage at the start of your turn if someone can't break you out. You are also currently entangled, which is why my attack hit.
Speaking of which:
It: -14
Druscillia -20

Releasing her held breath with a sigh, she mutters "What can't we just punch everything? A kick? A knee to the face...so much more pure." Grumbling aside, the woman meticulously reloads her bow.

Just want to make sure I understand- it has an ability which causes me to sink into the ground. You rolled a fort save and I failed so I am entangled, and that -4 dex penalty caused me to be hit at AC 23. Am I following that right?

GM Skyreaver |

Now that Druscillia dropped unconscious, things go a bit better for our heroes: Sable is able to land an arrow into it before it gets into melee, but the whirl of combat causes the other attacks to miss.
Also, as Vixen is now in the front of the group, she will bear the brunt of the attack as the creature moves adj. to her:

Druscillia manages to stay out of mire, as both Vixen and Sable unload on the creature. Alas, the creature is harder to harm then they thought, and so they miss all around. The creature retaliates on Vixen with a pair of tentacle attacks:

Sable proceeds lightly to Dru, pulls Dru's wand and starts healing until told to stop. "You were super brave, Dru! You jumped right into it."
"She got slimed, big deal! Ms. Mysteriously over there alakazamed it dead." Vixen turns to Emma for a few seconds, realizes that Emma can't see her wink behind the face mask and gives her a thumbs up before resuming her looting.

GM Skyreaver |

Once your group has finished healing each other, you make your way into a large cavern:
At first glance, this cold cavern presents a strange and disconcerting vista—that of a desert valley under a starless, night sky. A stretch of sand covers the ground, a vista broken here and there by bits of strange, spiky shells or contorted, dead fronds that look like branches.

Moving into the room, your group discovers that it is a large open space, with several tunnels that exit it. You also discover that there are several four-armed skeletons moving about. Each of their arms ends in claws with razor-sharp talons. They react to your light as you move in and begin running towards your group.
We're going to initiative, but they're a round out from you guys, should you want to take ranged attacks on them. Also, currently, you only see three of them, but you can hear more movement in the distance.
