The creature itself lacks the sort of weaponry you might hope to scavenge, and so your group makes it's way down the hallway to the doors the creature came out of. There are another set of doors that are closed off to the right-hand side, but based on what has been posted, I am going to assume that your group is going into the door the robot came out of.

Looking in, you see:

A long table with various unusual stones and dirt samples heaped on it sits along the southern wall of this room, while to the north a line of metal desks with glowing panels and buttons are placed next to a large humming device. The heart of this device seems to be some sort of flickering sphere of reddish-brown mud or dirt. Dust covers much of this room, save for a strangely clean swath between the doors, which leads to the strange humming device.

As your group looks around the room, it soon becomes clear that someone was studying soil and rocks here, but both Agni and Sable agree that there is something odd about the samples here. The other odd thing is that it looks like the blood trail that your group was following has been completely cleaned, although with the dust on the floor, it's clear which way it went.
