Oh my goodness! I'm going to have to decide what to run for PbP game day V! What sorts of things are more in demand? Are there levels or seasons that aren't run very often?
Hmm

I'd love to see more lower-level stuff for Gameday - the ones I see I've already played.

The more specific your request, the easier it is to accommodate.
I'm looking to run a table in the second half of Gameday, but haven't yet decided what it should be.

Understandable - the more recent it is, the less likely I've played it.

You might want to see the offerings I'm guessing.
I Have put up some CORE Games
Faithless and Forgotten Trilogy CORE
The Sky Key Solution (1-11) CORE Seeking Tier 1-5
Depending on Bandwidth, I may put up more.

I want to run something for GameDayV, but couldn't decide what. Then it occurred to me that maybe I could take requests, and 'swap' with another GM. I have a character that would seem to fit perfectly for #5-13 Weapon in the Rift. If someone were to run that for me during GameDayV, I could run a scenario of their choosing in return.
For reasons of bandwidth and getting the character to the proper level, I'd like to schedule this in the second slot, starting October 10th. If you're interested, send me a PM to discuss details. :)

Hey guys, I've got a serious question regarding what sort of material is appropriate going forward for pfsprep.com.
For any of you who are familiar with or make use of the site I would really appreciate your input in regards to the post here.
Thank you very much, and my apologies for interrupting gameday mustering.

As a GM, what additional steps are required for running a game for gameday? I'm sure the answer is already somewhere in this forum (and I just rolled a crappy perception check looking for it) but I was wondering if someone could tell me. I'm no stranger to running PbP but have never done one for a special event before.

Long Official Answer
The Online VO Team is ready to announce the next PbP Gameday, just in time to kick off the new Season of the Stolen Storm! The signups open today, the gameday will start August 27th and will end 90 days later on November 25th. There will be a midway point on October 11th. In order for your game to count, it must start on or after August 27th and end on or before November 25th. While the official specials will be running in two “slots”, from August 27th-October 11th and October 12th-November 25th, GMs should not feel limited to those time slots for running their own scenarios, especially if you know you take a longer time to run.
In order to participate, go to PbPGameday.com. The front page contains a list of tables that are currently signed up in addition to a link at the bottom to register a table as a GM. If you are GMing a table, you’ll need to create a recruitment thread before registering your game on the PbPGameday website.
Short Summary:
1. Create a recruitment thread
2. Register your game
3. Begin and end between August 27th and November 25th.

It's not second-guessing. Perhaps it would be easier if you thought of "Hmm" as something else?

IIRC, you will also report your game to the Online VO Team and they will report it under the Gameday event rather than reporting it yourself under your own event and number.
And finally you will roll for your players and yourself for boon awards. The VO's will email you about boons and the proper protocol for rolling for them.
I think that covers the differences. Also, you don't need to own the scenario you run, as you will receive product support and a free download of the pdf for the scenarios you will GM will be added to your account.

This may be a silly question, but why is Sky Key Solution the scenario-du-jour for GameDay 5? Given that season 8 will have started by then, wouldn't 8-00 be the hot scenario instead? What am I missing? :)
Because the world revolves around GenCon and the rest of us have to eat out :)
It would be nice, and we will get there eventually, but Multis even being on the GameDays is a bit of a recent affair - Multis take a lot of effort to get up and running (significantly more than live!) but we will get there eventually.
In my perfect universe I'd have liked TWO multi's for Game Day to start clearing out the backlog of them.

Sooo...when do the "genie-touched" races officially become freely legal?

GM Fuzzfoot |

The choices offered in the Core Rulebook are always available, as are ifrit, kitsune, nagaji, oread, sylph, tengu, undine, and wayang, provided you own a copy of the appropriate source book.
I expect a mass rush of new characters needing to play some evergreens... Maybe I will add one for GD5 (although I am already fully committed - probably wait on this until after the special is over.)

Alton Underbough |

I see that Pathfinder Tales novels are no longer usable for a reroll. Sad day for me since I just bought one for that purpose at GenCon.

bluedove |

They did once upon a time, but it's been a few seasons back. Now they grant access to some sort of boon, so not a complete loss! I got a Character Folio to ensure my reroll. ^_^
Pathfinder Tales: To encourage reading of Pathfinder Tales novels, which provide rich glimpses into the world of Golarion, many of the books allow players access to one single-use boon. Players can access each boon by showing her copy of a Pathfinder Tales book to the GM of any sanctioned Pathfinder Society event and having the GM initial the box next to the corresponding boon. Once a GM has initialed that box, you do not need to continue bringing the novel to use the boon. Once all four boxes have been initialed, the player can apply the Prolific Reader boon to a single character. This Chronicle sheet may only be applied once per player, not once per character, but the player can choose to apply the boon to any character. As a result, the player doesn’t need to fill out a character name, character number, or faction until she decides to apply the Prolific Reader boon to one of her characters.

Anyone seen GM Evil recently?
He seems to have vanished for a couple of weeks. I know Gencon has been on, but that finished a couple of days ago now, and I didn't see any messages saying he was going to be away.
So..anyone know him in RL want to check he's okay?

Shifty |

I know three weeks back he said he was having some IRL issues, which was why his posting had been spotty for some time, but I haven't heard from him in nearly two weeks - which is why I have taken-over GMing one of his games.
On that note, I haven't seen a 'rescue GM needed' post in aaaaaages.

GM Crucible |

I have enough bandwidth I can step in for a couple of weeks, if need be.
PM and let me know, if the table chooses to go that route.

![]() |

I didn't know that there was such a thing as "rescue GM needed". I was/am in a Hell's Rebels that the GM just disappeared on, but it has been probably a couple months so everyone has probably given up on it. I am also in a GM Evil game of Sky Key Solution I think). Not sure if the other want a rescue but I am keen to keep it moving.

qwerty1971 |

i am in GM Evil's Scions of the Sky Key scenario and he has not posted since July 28th. We are standing by for his return.

I can also help out if you need a gm to finish a game.
You'd find that GMs here are willing to help out if they hae the bandwidth to do so.
