Well done James!
Now for my pitch. Now that Outpost is nearing its end, I am making my trek to 150...I have a number of scenarios in hand, but I am willing to take requests. So if there is any requests. Let me know.

Hail Mighty GM Gustavef (I had a lot of fun in your whimsy run of fallen fortress).
I have a lvl 7 Ranger who completed the first two parts of Destiny of the Sands back when he was a fresh faced pathfinder. He is running out of time to finish the trilogy and would love an opportunity to complete it and use the boons gained in the earlier two sessions. Thus, he requests a high tier run of #5–16: Destiny of the Sands—Part 3: Sanctum of the Sages.

Mykel, you've come to the right place for help.
In Flaxseed, the standard is that a game is considered abandoned after nothing from the GM for a week, so you're not there quite yet. (although I know it can get frustrating before that week is up...)
If you guys do reach a week without hearing from your GM, please post here again, including a link to the campaign.
edit: I'm sorry, I misread your post. You sent the PM on Sunday, but the GM has not posted in longer than a week, so your game is indeed in abandoned game territory.
For everyone else: gameplay thread is here..
This is an OutPost game.
second edit: Magabeus posted as I was making my first edit.

We will help you out Mykel. Anybody willing to take this on? If not I will do it, so do not take this on if you are not 100% sure you can commit.
Edit: Ninjaed by Redelia! Still, last post by GM was March 28th...

Thank you all very much! I am honored and blushing at all the love! Thank you for being a wonderfully welcoming and genuinely amazing group to play with and run for!

Hi, Ace. I'm Redelia, the Venture Agent for this lodge. I think this is an amazingly friendly group of people, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding a good game. If you notice a game recruiting that sounds fun, just let the GM know you're new to play by post, and they'll make sure you get settled in. Also, feel free to send me (or any of the other Venture Officers for play by post) a private message or else post here if you have any questions or need any help.

Does anyone know if there is another android app like Wayfinder? That one no longer works on my phone and I truly hate the phone web browser.
As far as I know, there is not. I used Wayfinder until it died, and here us my current solution:
Download the Firefox app and the Pathfinder plug in. That will organize your campaigns, block people you don't like and ensure you post with the right alias. Then, create a bazillion keyboard shortcuts. I.E. "bo" for [b]" and "sp" for [spoiler= ], etc.
That's worked for me pretty well. But I do miss the app!

It's in terrible shape right now as I just started it. A whole 3 people have seen it, one of which I'm married to. When it's is some semblance of sane shape I'll likely share it here.

Many GMs (myself included) have a "request list" linked in their profile that you can go to to indicate specific scenarios you'd like to see. Most will post either here or in character in the gameplay thread when they are actively recruiting, so keep an eye out.
A lot of us are in the final stages of the Outpost online convention, so you will probably see a number of new games starting up in the next week or two.

As my first-ever PbP games head toward their conclusion, I wanted to express my appreciation for this community. I've been playing in home games and PFS for many years, and was hesitant to try PbP, but I'm very glad I took the plunge. In particular, shout outs to GM Bearington and GM Zoomba for helping me learn the ropes, to my fellow Pathfinders in both games, and to the organizers of Outpost and Online Play in general.
I'm in awe of the supportive and good-natured vibe of Flaxseed Lodge that I see here on the boards. Not many places like this on the internet these days. I look forward to more PbP in the future.

Just so i'm absolutely clear before i solidify things beyond repair. Gunslinger is PFS legal, and it's pretty safe to assume with 18 prestige one could find a seller of firearms in Absalom in-between scenario's right?

You're a Gunslinger, so it's totally legal for you to find and purchase a firearm in PFS.
The only restriction I heard is that for PFS, you must have at least 1 level of Gunslinger to own a firearm.
Redelia |
Quote from additional resources:
Gunsmithing does not grant the ability to craft firearms, ammunition, or black powder. Rather, it allows the purchase of bullets, pellets, black powder, and alchemical cartridges (with 1 rank in Craft [alchemy]) at the listed price, but does not grant a discount on the purchase of any firearm. Resold items gained through this feat are worth half the actual cost paid, not half the regular market value for the item. No PC can purchase a gun without this feat, even if they possess the Amateur Gunslinger or Exotic Weapon Proficiency (firearm) feats.

Hey Lynn and chadius! Here's some additional information per the Additional Resources page!
Equipment: No Large or larger firearm is available for purchase. The double hackbut, culverin and any advanced firearms on Table 3-4 and advanced firearms on Table 3-5 and are not permitted in Pathfinder Society Organized Play. No character may purchase a firearm unless she possesses the Gunsmithing feat and firearms are never considered Always Available; a character must possess enough Fame to purchase any firearm not found on a Chronicle sheet or granted by a class feature; All ammunition except metal cartridges may be purchased.
So, with your fame, it looks like you should be able to purchase any firearm less than 3000 GP, as long as they are not Large or larger!
Hopefully this was helpful!
Edit: Ninja'd by Redalia!

So far, this character has picked up the first game that has cam up when he became available, but now I am involved in other games as well as games Nigel is involved in. I feel like I can be a bit more selective now. I was just wondering how you guys picked what adventures to run with your characters?

Hi, Nigel.
(You'll probably find a lot of different opinions on this, but here are some of my thoughts.)
Sometimes, the GM will influence whether you want to be in an adventure or not. There are a few GMs who I play under whenever possible. There are a few other GMs who I know I don't enjoy playing with because their style is just too different from what I like.
Sometimes, it's a matter of what particular adventure is being offered. For example, if someone was offering to run an adventure whose description included a visit to a grippli village, I might be very interested in playing it with a grippli character.
The other players involved can also work both ways. There are some players I know are fun for me to play with; I also know there are some players whose style is just too different from mine.
I should also state that I also enjoy trying a game with a new GM or with new players; it's fun to meet new people in the friendly setting of Flaxseed.
Kahwen |
I like the later seasons more than the early seasons so, I'll generally pass up anything before season 5.
Kahwen has a cool boon that gives him advantages when Drendle Drang (spelling?) is presenting the mission so I will probably be on the lookout for those adventures.
Otherwise, I just take the first things that I can jump in on (because when I have less than my gaming load, I'm itching to get up to it.)
It's just a matter of which character I use.
Grandmaster TOZ |
I generally read the blurb and check factions that may be involved, then go from there based on what the rest of the party needs me to bring.
