I guessed and adjusted everybody on the map who had not moved yet. Feel free to change it. I think we were all hoping the initial attack would have killed it so we could ignore the map for now...

Yeah, he's like two orders of magnitude more powerful than the typical grioth, lol. Leng still has an action for round 1. I need to get back into the habit of doing the combat round recap. I'll try and remember going forward.

I thought I already used my kusarigama? Am I in a position to make a full attack, or do I need to move?


That's why I need to do the round recaps again, to avoid that sort of confusion. You acted in the surprise round, but now can go for round 1. You would be in range. I didn't check Spitter's repositioning yet on the map, but everyone sneaked in close before hitting the statue's cables and it's a big grioth.

Leng leaps and lets out a "HEP!" sound as the flaming kusarigama spins in a rapid circle, the fires roaring as it attains speeds that the party hasn't seen before.

Dude...every single first strike sucked...then the re-rolls nailed it! You need to do that Perfect Strike more often! =)

Spitter gracefully lands and nails the large grioth with a jolt of electricity that gives the creature a minor burn, but fails to cause any serious harm. It pulls out an undersized flachion made of the unearthly voidglass as Pavo's net is caught on the statue and Wil's charge is impeded by the rubble.

The creature roars when Leng's chain flashes out at incredible speed, landing blow after blow after blow onto the grioth mammoth. It snarls and narrows it's beady eyes at Leng.

He is casting id insinuation on Leng. DC 12 Will of confused.

Round 1 Recap

Spitter - gracefully lands and zaps the big grioth.
Pavo - entangles a statue.
Wil - rushes in to charge but can't hit.
Ren - moves into position.
Leng - totally waylays the grioth!
Grioth - tries to disable the most threatening person by scrambling his brain.

Round 2 is go!

I thought Burning Hands did a maximum of 5d4? Are you doing something special with it?

Seeing the creature remain still, Spitter blasts it again!

With the snap of his wrist, Pavo recalled the net. His arm began to spin again, sending the net around and around as he interposed himself between Renliat and the beast. With another flick of his wrist, he sent the net spiraling through the air towards the beast once again.

Entangled:

The character is ensnared. Being entangled impedes movement, but does not entirely prevent it unless the bonds are anchored to an immobile object or tethered by an opposing force. An entangled creature moves at half speed, cannot run or charge, and takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity. An entangled character who attempts to cast a spell must make a concentration check (DC 15 + spell level) or lose the spell.

Seeing the creature hit by the net. Wilfried lowers his heavy spear and moves forward and strikes with his 'Sacred charged' spiked gauntlet.
