The Battle at Dumai Wells is a total disaster. The asha'man suffer defeat at the hands of the Shaido and Tar Valon emmisaries. The Dragon is brought to Tar Valon.

And now Alathea will be pregnant as well. ^^; I'm not sure we can wait in our new pad for nine months...
On a different note: now that we're all together, how about swapping some weaves the way Litheene and I have been doing? We won't all be able to use everything everyone else is using, but it might be good to share what we can.

As if she couldn't be already? Alathea would have been quite irate (even braid-tuggingly so!) if this was the first time she could have gotten pregnant.
I think this will be the first time in all my years of role playing that my group will have children birthed by the PCs traveling with them, if that actually happens.

Hey guys, had some RL issues unexpectedly demand a large amount of my time .. i am back and getting caught up.

From Rizzenmagnus's description in his "The Wheel of Time Turns..." post, I think we ended up in the Two Rivers. That certainly doesn't mean that the Seanchan can't be there, though...
Well, we can travel away, though it might be as good a place as any actually. Seanchan is huge and mainly unaware of what is happening in "the old empire".
It's the Randlan's Australia basically. Can be cool, as it was not explored in the books, so it can be a rather wild land to allow us to plan and act while Rizzen can pretty much drop anything on us without it being counter-canon.

kodo is saying that since he has the one power, he doesnt need to make a survival check to get his animal.
i am saying that he has to make one, because in order to kill the animal, you have to hunt/stalk/find the animal. I am saying that the survival skill gives you the knowledge to know where an animal would lair and what not, thus allowing someone to find and then hunt the animal.
according to the skill description, at a DC 10, you:
Get along in the wild. Move up to half your overland speed while hunting and foraging (no food or water supplies needed). You can provide food and water for one other person for every 2 points by which your check result exceeds 10.

To preface: it's not a big deal :) But I do like rules discussions, or rather discussing things that can be done in different ways.
I guess I'm saying that I think it's reasonable that someone without the Power and untrained in hunting/survival skills is in a bit of trouble in the wild regarding food. Whereas someone with the ability to grab creatures with their mind powers from a distance could get along better.
Of course, if game is scarce, it would still be tricky. But if an area is reasonably populated with fauna, seeing a creature (and winning initiative I guess) is enough to have a crack at grabbing it with Air.
I guess I favour a slightly creative approach to achieving goals in game, but I'm not a real life hunter, and it's really not a big deal. Just voicing my opinion.

It may take a survival check to know where to look, but i would say he has one hell of a huge bonus to his survival because all he has to do is see the animal, not successfully shoot/snare/whatever.
Re-hunting:
Keelix's position sounds reasonable, as the game still needs to be found, but it is easier to hunt as if it is found the job is usually done.
However, as the power is very strong for control anyway, I can see reason in not adding more skill bonuses unless it is really required to go with the flow of the books.

Thought this might be useful to bring back up again. i wrote this way back in 2012, back in the initial adventure...
Feat: trap weaving
to turn a weave into a trap. the weave must be one of instantaneous effect, like harden air, fireball, master ward, and so on. To make a weave into a trap you must add a +3 to the channeler level, AND it now includes weaves of spirit to set the trap, thus a fireball, which is fire and air, when set as a trap is changed to fire, air, and spirit. Meeting the affinity requirements apply. Setting the trap is a full round action.
trap weaving is taught within the White tower, but not at the Black tower. So Accepted and above can know it.
for litheene and alathea, if they want, they can swap out a feat for this feat right now.

Interesting feat, though it males less sense for Litheene to know it at this point, character wise.
Does the trap have a DC for disarming? Can it be noticed by weavesight? What can be set as activation conditions?

I'm back. Let me know if I'm supposed to be doing anything, such as if combat comes up. Looking at the number of posts, it looks like you guys have been busy this week. Between this forum and the other one, looks like I have 183 posts to read before I'm even caught up.
Blarg. Not sure why this is only
coming to me days later, but I just realized that some of what I posted for round 1 probably would only be possible with those weave inventor feats Rizzen came up with, which Fia obviously hasn't taken. Please just read those parts as simply being the narrative fluff it was intended to be. I was trying to make it more interesting than saying 'hey look it's a really big harden air', but occasionally I get too creative / carried away for my own good.

I'm a bit confused as to what madness effect Kodo's suffering under, what with the personalised rules. I'm also pretty sure madness effects don't supercede conditions like stunning, but you're the boss, boss. But let me know the effect and I'll get right on it.
(Likely many people aren't posting because they can't do anything except flee or watch SuperAltRyland NPC beat the crap outta the dragon...)

screw it. im tossing out those rules i set for you. they are too cumbersome. we will stick with the rules in the book for the madness and you can still be jealous boyfriend and leave it at that. So you are panicked.
