Vampirism, cursed as an existence as it may be, does come with certain perks, especially if you've been at it for a while. Do you keep the powers you've gained to help those you love, knowing full well you could one day lose it and hurt them, or return to normality, and remove the chance that you could help or hurt. It can't be an easy decision. I don't know what I would choose if in your place, and I don't think there's any 'correct' answer.

Just as they were leaving the library Ephebe stopped abruptly.

"Okay, okay, we'll go and talk about it for a while and then you can have some fudge ripple ice cream and then you'll remember that you guys are actually really good and totally prepared for this and that you're completely stressing out for no reason," he said, stewing Fieri out of the practice room and up the stairs before she went into full meltdown mode.
Upon finishing the last freight offload at the Materials & Supplies building, Fei tries to take his rest for the evening. The events in the training room keep coming back, unbidden, to his mind as he tries to sleep. After almost an hour of this, he finally gets up and goes outside to attempt to center himself by running through his katas.
A few hours pass. As Fei finishes his last move and comes out of his ready stance, he notices a faint illumination around him. A faint green illumination...
Looking at his arms and legs, he finally registers the cuffs' glow. Quickly scanning the field to make sure he was still alone, he then quickly leaves and begins to make his way to the workshop.

"Oh. Hello, Fei. Hmmm....You probably shouldn't let them get that bright next time if you can help it. Hurry and go empty the charge," she says absentmindedly before going back to poring over the report she'd been studying. A deeper analysis of this data was showing some highly unexpected results.
"Ummm.....sorry to interrupt, you two," she said, poking her head into the curtained off area where Asch and Amada were. "I forgot to get the amulet back from you, Amada, so can I have it now?"

"Yes, sabumnim," he answers as he places the cuff into the wall bay, and proceeds to cycle the others through one at a time, as he was instructed. He does his best to keep his movements to a minimum while he does this, and to be as quiet as possible so as not to interrupt the Professor's thoughts.

As Fei finishes transferring the charge on the last cuff, he makes a mental note to experiment and see how his normal day-to-day activities will build up energy.
He turns to ask the Professor about this, but sees that she is deep in thought. Not wishing to disturb her, he quietly bows and lets himself out of the workshop.
He starts to make his way through the halls to get back to the outside green.

"Let's go then!" Michael says as he grabs her hand gently. Leading they way, they manage to get to the ice cream a few minutes before Feiri and Jiminy. After laughing at Saffire eating his share a little too fast, Michael checks the time and suddenly gets up to leave.
"I'm sorry, Kitty, but there's something I've got to do before curfew. There was an accident during detention, and I want to make sure Albin's okay. It was.. *shudder* bad. You can give Saffire the rest of my ice cream if he still wants some." Waving, Michael turns and walks away fast, heading straight for the infirmary.
He pauses at the door when he sees Asch, but steels himself and walks over to Albin. He's unconscious, but seems to be doing better. The nanites are amazing.
"What you looking at? Oh the rat heard he got torn up by some slurks pathetic actually don't know why Jeran even keeps him around." Asch says mockingly as he turns away from Krays and Ephebe.
"Probably because he seems to be more useful than you." Michael replies coldly, not in the mood to put up with someone like Asch.. "And last time I checked, I could look anywhere I wanted."
"What was that?" Asch says as his eyes flash dangerously just before he closes the distance between him and Michael in the blink of an eye.
"What's wrong, bat ears not working?" Michael says, somehow brave enough to look Asch in the eye. "Let me say it again: Jeran thinks rat beats bat."
Between one second and the next Ephebe was standing in between the two, pushing Asch away from Michael.
"Asch! Get it together! Do you want to wake up Amada because you started a stupid fight?"
"What's wrong, bat ears not working?" Michael says, somehow brave enough to look Asch in the eye. "Let me say it again: Jeran thinks rat beats bat."
She whirled around to Michael her violet eyes switching to their draconic appearance as her grip on her temper frayed.
"Don't group us together with those idiots! Who cares what stupid Jeran thinks?"
Everything seems to go completely silent for a minute as Ephebe attempts to atop the fight. The silence is broken when Asch slips into the shadows and appears behind Michael and slams his fist into Michael's race and grabs him by the shirt slamming him against a wall. He throws a barrier of force around the space he and Michael are now in. "Stay out of this Ephebe." He says his fangs fully extended. He slams his fist into Michael's stomach and the into his face again repeatedly. The only force holding Michael up at this point is Asch and the wall. Asch pulls back and before Michael can fall he sinks his fangs into his shoulder. Asch's pupils are slits of their normal size his eyes glowing all the whites blotted out by black shadows blood covering the lower part of his face.
Michael screams as Asch's fangs sink into his shoulder, face going white with pain.
Ephebe's eyes go purple-black as the white 'flames' engulf not just her arms, but her whole body. Asch gets hit with a tidal wave of force that rips him away from Michael and slams him into the wall.
"HOW COULD YOU?!?!?!? You were the first person outside of my brothers to actually stand up for me in this place! You were one of the good guys! Didn't you want to be a better person for Amada's sake? I thought that mattered to you! We all went with you to go and deal with your father because we believed in you, and now look at how you're acting!"
She pulled out her Caster and loaded a shell before shooting Michael with a Cure Critical. And then the flames disappeared as abruptly as they appeared and she crumpled to the ground, energy totally depleted.
