            Filled this out some.
Alocatra had had its first meeting with offworlders for them very recently. Tybalt got onto the first outgoing ship. They're currently in a worldwide late Victorian era going towards industrial revolution. The main yhing being that theres no way off the planet without hitchhiking the very rare visitor. Most of Alocatra is smallish islands with a decent sized land mass in the center being most of the place that there are mixed folk communities. Not that they're xenophobic, just that they keep to their own communities.
There are no native humans on Alocatra. All the "humanoids" are the folk. Think furries, basically. They each have an 'ancestor' they resemble and follow the 'folk'(humanoid) body shape.
Catfolk culture is on a crescent moon island called Nekobay. They focus on fishing. There is feywild on part of Nekobay. Tybalt comes from the presiding family Baneko there, with one clan leader over all the island, being a seer and a council of noble families that act as a Congress to executive decisions.
Government
The clan leader is male or female, but must be of the family.
When a clan leader does not have a bond from which an heir can come,(be it through incompatibility, infertility, or lack of a bond at all, etc.) a partner that is not bonded to them(male or female) is asked to be a parent. This is usually considered and honor, as it means the person trusts you, etc. But it also is not always accepted. Failing this, magic is not frowned upon to make an existing bond mating compatible, but is considered after other options are exhausted. If all fails and there is no heir to the clan/oligarchial leader, the position is given to a willing sibling. There is no catfolk military or police. These are chosen as needed by the clan leader and approved by the council. All folk are given a job that suits their skills. These are kept and overseen by the people who are recognized as leaders by the council and clan leader. Overseers need not be noble. You are not locked into your job and need only appeal to the council for a different one. Catfolk mostly focus on being content with what they are doing. Being unhappy is generally short lived and open to being addressed.
Biology
Descendants usually aren't a problem as catfolk are virile and have young in units of around 8 max and usually a minimum of 4. Catfolk women have a heat cycle like regular cats do. This occurs once a month for 3 days. This is the only time a female catfolk is fertile, but during this time they are very much so. Magic, bending, divine magic, psionics, and ki are all common among catfolk, with arcane magic being the most common, natural or studied.
Inter relations.
Catfolk relations follow a kind of "true love" called finding your Dokonalá. If you feel that you've found them, you ask to court and if they accept you, you court, if this goes well and you both feel a bond connection, you perform a pair bonding ritual involving magical light tattoos put over the fur on intertwined hand-paws. This is not limited to male female or monogamy if an individual is believed as a match to more than one other. It is not limited to catfolk either, believing that you are not limited to those you are biologically compatible with. (See government on needed heirs). Incest is the one thing that is frowned upon in this practice, as it is generally unhealthy. Everyone only has one Dokonalá, but not everyone is confined to /being/ one dokonalá. There is a word for also matching your person, Sahipyira. This is what everyone there hopes for.
When a female with a bond goes into heat, ritually she spends this time with her bond(s) possibly making babies. During this time, both she and her bond are given the days off of their jobs. The female is protected by her bonds(or family if she has none) during this time, as male catfolk can become... overzealous when smelling a female in heat. Males acting on this is rare, but not entirely unheard of, ergo the need to be guarded.
Ancestors/Holidays
All Alocatra folk groups revere the animals they resemble and call them "ancestor." They give are respected all year, but on the spring and fall solstices, they are celebrated and given gifts. This is also a common gift giving opportunity for folk, especially family and bonds. Oragami of the ancestor is a common thing, left at shrines built in places the ancestors tend to gather. These are also common polytheistic prayer sites to the ancestor as well as the other gods.
Birthdays are important to folk. You are given the day off of your job and do as you wish before a party at the end of the day with food, gifts, etc. Each folk group has their own extra traditions for birthdays. A common catfolk one is body and face painting of the birthday person(shared with their several siblings).

That would be the no phones in school rule.
I can't post other than lunch. Sometimes I sneak glances in, but posting is too risky.
I thought that this was an open invitation, and I also thought that Kevin (and Roel) was the only one in the sim rooms to respond to it.
I kinda wanted Vai to meet the other blue(colored) dragon.
:/
But knowing now that it was planned, it's OK.

Thanks for the 'blessing' there. ;)
I'm certain, in time, you'll have a chance to get your dragon meet on.
I'm glad I threw that initial post in, to 'claim' what we'd organized, didn't want to have to wait again. I've only so much patience, sometimes.
:)
As for the no phones in school rule, heh. I'm amused by the possible irony of your complaint, being the hallway monitor (so to speak) ICly, of students and booze. :D
Tee hee.
Though, yeah, not being able to express one self creatively, upon the urge, kinda sucks.
End rambling. Cheers.

Wouldn't call it so much a 'blessing' as a 'realizing I didn't have anything to complain about.' :P
The alcohol thing is more IC than than ooc.
Part of it is a reference to Camp Half Blood (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) and the fact that alcohol on their grounds turns to water when attempted to be consumed.
(There are more and more Lightning Thief references in this game than I had at first realized.)
The other part is the school's reaction to the Fey wine incedent at the homecoming party. The school has enough problems as it is, students drunk on campus won't help.
Though, it may also be I'll cited, as it also encourages students to drink outside of the school where they aren't protected/ protecting others as opposed to in the school where they can be monitored, but hey, even the epic artifact castle isn't perfect.
While I personally dislike alcohol, I don't go to any IRL measures to prevent others from it, though being able to.
Self control is not calling the cops on the teenage booze party you know about and didn't go to. :P
No posting in school is just a problem I have to deal with for one more year. Occasionally I'll get a teacher that doesn't care like I did last year. That was nice.

            Hey now...
'possible irony'. :)
Clearly, it's not as potent as I'd thought, but still bemused me when I thought on it.
Never saw any of those Percy flicks. Don't know anyone who's spoken of them, either good or bad, either.
Looks like a teen 'happy' feel good films. Bit too campy for my tastes. C'est la vie.
Throwing my two cents out on the latest Captain America flick, btw: Awesome.
Disney is certainly doing the Marvel setting well, for my tastes. Hopefully they keep going, loving their films so far.

Don't see the movies. The movies are awful in comparison.
The books are so much better.
They are OK as movies, but no where near the level the books are on, and aren't as rich or as close to the original mythos.
They're basically adaptations of Greek mythology into a modern American setting, with teenage Demigods as the main characters.
If you like action style movies and Greek mythology, you'll like the movies, actually.

Well, I kind of liked the latest Clash of the Titans, even though it was kinda crappy-- effects and action were neat. The story wasn't all that impressive.
Mythology is an old passion of mine, since childhood. Used to spend hours reading up on all the various mythologies of Europe and Asia.
Only barely touched on Native American mythos, but know a few things there.
Anything that has to do with explaining the 'why and how' of reality, in a creative way, from our past, was enjoyable.
Storytelling with purpose. :)
I do like me the storytelling. Perhaps those books would be worth reading- not sure from your post if it's a yes or no, go see it, opinion.
I do have to admit that anything which takes 'traditional' and mixes it up creatively with modern, or vice versa, artfully done (it's all in the beholder, I realize) gets a thumb's up.
So, might be worth reading-- though, from what you wrote, movies aren't worth it.
You got me all confuse-ed-ed!
N' stuff, Magic, dang it!

            It's really kind of both.
You should do one or the other. Books or movies.
If you really want to do both, watch the movies then read the books.
I read and loved the books and went in to the movies expecting it to be almost as good. I was quite disappointed. I did like the Addition of the Nashville Parthenon to the movie, as I have been there, though they had a different statue.
The bottom line is that the books and movies are good individually, but are not congruent except for a very loose plot structure and a list of characters.
There are also an Egyptian and Roman Mythos's series. The roman is tied into the Greek and the Egyptian makes small references to the Greek. All of the series' are very, very good.
Rick Riordan is the Author. Most libraries should have a few copies of each book with how popular they are.

I would definitely recommend the Rick Riordan books. And yes, I do draw some inspiration from them. :)
But don't start with the Roman series. It's a sequel to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.
The movies are meh. But the books are great if you like mythology because there are so many little easter eggs to find. Plus they're fun and easy to read. Brain candy of the very tasty variety.

Parts of that class are... similar.. to a character I've got in play, but still very different in what happens.

I wouldn't normally take that feat but given how crafting is handled in this camping I figured it wouldn't matter too much, note how the only thing I've used the feat for so far is trying to fix my ship
(also Arthur can craft any item but if it isn't armor or a wondrous item it cost 2x as much)

Arthur mostly just adds stuff to his suits,
though he is able to make weapons and wondrous items, primarily he won't,
plus he doesn't have any many spells/spell like abilities, and the ones he does have he is unlikely to make into items, so -5 for each spell missing and a non maxed out spellcraft...
