The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

This really all just makes perfect sense to him.
"People say I look like a girl, apparently I think like a girl, girls seem to have it better, I can have the ability to be a girl and still be a guy when it suits me, so why not?"
He can really have the best of both with the item.
Catfolk females don't even have the same human female drawbacks. Just heat for one or two weeks out of the year. And during that time he could just be male again. According to the BoEF Alter Self isn't a complete biological change, so no pregnancy.
Virtually no down side as far as he can see.

Did I miss anything for my characters?

Not as far is I know. We knew you weren't here, so we didn't seek you out for anything.
We're bad and meta game like that. :P
The PE teacher might have a replacement, though. That's still up in the air...

Male Boggle Goblin Tinker 20/Wizard 10 Bombardier 10

But I want to teach the students to DOOOOOOOODGE!!!

Now that you're back, I think it's still yours. It's just that you're on really inconsistently and the PE teacher is one of few who is actually on screen and running things frequently. (From what I've seen.)
No worries now that you're back. ;)

I got hung up on work

You should know by now that a fictional world run by strangers on the internet is more important than life altering and critical work in the real world. :P

Not for cash, did anyone miss me?

I dunno.
I kinda miss your characters. I like their personalities. The new goblins slightly less than the others, but that's just a personal preference.
I can't speak for others, but I feel safe in saying that in all the people here, someone else would like to see more of you as well as me. :)

Tybs busy or he got time to chat with Balamor or Kiara?

He is right in the middle of a story in a sim room.
I think all of my characters are tied up in something right now. :/
Sorry. :(

Well that kinda sucks :-(

Male Gian&Nero Half-Fiend Half-Celestial All Elf 3 cleric 3 wizard 10 mystic theurge / 8 fighter 8 gunslinger

This one might be available if one of your characters happens to be in the library and Ice agrees to it. We're working on illustrating a book off screen in the library right now.

Kiara and Loki might be there.

Is Kiara an Infernal Binder?

No, Wizard/Duskblade why?

I meant for her wizard school. I thought she might be because of Imp familiar.

oh, one important heads up
your characters would be unlikely to know this but the nearby town is currently under attack by essentially so far as we can tell a cross between reevers and the borg

female Dragonborn Gestalt duskblade 16/wizard 16

I took improved familiar

M'kay. Just wondering. :)
Lim-Môr is an infernal binder, but I multi class out before I get the Imp.

I see

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

was that intentional, not having the imp or was it just not important enough to stick to it long enough to keep it
follow up question do you have all of your feats assigned?

The imp has been used, that's Loki. and yes my feats are all done.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

sorry I was intending that to be said to lim mor

Oh

Male Gian&Nero Half-Fiend Half-Celestial All Elf 3 cleric 3 wizard 10 mystic theurge / 8 fighter 8 gunslinger

Yes Lim-Môr is finished completely, but I'm considering swapping a couple to get augmented summoning.
I didn't see a familiar fitting into him and if he had, I would've needed one for Gian too, because I'm funny like that.
:)
Plus I wanted to get as much of mystic Theurge as I could, so I actually managed to get the full 10 there.

you could have a celestial imp familiar,
noble scion, grants infernal as a bonus language and at lvl 9 gives you an imp familiar
improved familiar grants celestial to your (hypothetical) imp, :P

Reapling (scout form) rogue, black blooded oracle, gestalt lvl 16

The reaver/borg things shall fall before the might of Reaplings! Muhahahahaha!
:p

Male Weremonkey Rogue/Ranger/Trickster

Just because rules wise something works, doesn't mean you should actually do it, without some incredible story behind it.

Foul, you really gotta reign in your munchkin side.

My friends did this on our Facebook gaming page, figure I'd continue it here.

You know you game way too much when:

1) All the bookmarks on your cell phone are gaming sites.

I downloaded and use an entire extra browser for this on my phone.

I have 4 book marks.

While the bad imp-good imp thing would also work for this, it isn't in his levels.
If I went a different way with him, it would work, but it would be different than how he is.
A familiar just doesn't fit into Lim-Môr's character as he is.

first off, a celestial imp normally wouldn't be very powerful unless you also snagged leadership and gave it class levels, if he had one it would be a bit stronger as he has a higher BAB and HP than a standard caster

second a celestial imp would be great story opportunity
third, he said no, and I'm not going to push

General question for anybody that can help

keeping only to pathfinder (Paizo published books) is there a way for a sorcerer to have a famliar without multiclassing?

in particular I am trying to have this as a familiar: Azata Lyrakien

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

In this game? Yeah...

<POOF> you have a familiar.

Kryzbyn wrote:

unfortunately, not for this game...

I think maybe the Arcane bloodline for sorcerer, or one of it's subtypes. Not sure though.

arcane bloodline or tattooed sorcerer

looking things over...

the orginal chaarcter is a gnome sorcerer with the fey bloodline specializing in enchanments and charms.

I could take the crossblooded archtype to pick up the arcane bloodline and the 1st level power is to have a famliar.

but I would loose some spells known and -2 on will saves. also would loose the fey ability of laughing touch (which would be quite fun)

but the end is there is no way to have that creature as a familiar right away (I would probably need improved familiar feat first)

EDIT: the Azata Lyrakien says it is available to a CG 7th level caster with the improved familiar feat.

Chaotic Goods have the most fun. :P

take the tattooed familiar archetype

please assist I am unsure what book that is in.

I will look it up when I have access to the PSRD site (blocked right now, at work)

Shadow Lodge

I think it's in inner sea magic, but I wouldn't swear to it

For some reason just the weapons page is blocked at my school. @_@

OK LF, I found the Archetype the only problem is that I am loosing nearly all of my Fey bloodline abilities which totally changes the entire concept of the character.

example I took the Fey bloodline becuase I liked the bloodline abilities and it fits the character concept.

the tattooed sorcerer bloodline pretty much means that any bloodline will do since most if not all are being replaced.

(replaces the 1st, and 9th level bloodline powers also loose a bonus feat).

give up:
Laughing Touch (Sp): At 1st level, you can cause a creature to burst out laughing for 1 round as a melee touch attack. A laughing creature can only take a move action but can defend itself normally. Once a creature has been affected by laughing touch, it is immune to its effects for 24 hours. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier. This is a mind-affecting effect.

and

Fleeting Glance (Sp): At 9th level, you can turn invisible for a number of rounds per day equal to your sorcerer level. This ability functions as greater invisibility. These rounds need not be consecutive.

these are the two things I liked about the fey bloodline especially as an enchantment / charm specialist

hmm, yeah, those are your options,
if your DM accepts 3rd party or 3.5 you could take the "obtain familiar" feat at lvl 3
or if you're willing to spend 2-3 feats you could get an animal companion (this is not third party)
take nature soul

Nature Soul:

You are innately in tune with nature and venerate the power and mystery of the natural world.

Benefit: You get a +2 bonus on all Knowledge (nature) checks and Survival checks. If you have 10 or more ranks in one of these skills, the bonus increases to +4 for that skill.

so you qualify for
Animal Ally:

Your respect for nature is so great that you can form a deep and lasting friendship with an animal.

Prerequisites: Nature Soul, character level 4th, must not have an animal companion or mount that advances as an animal companion.

Benefit: You gain an animal companion as if you were a druid of your character level –3 from the following list: badger, bird, camel, cat (small), dire rat, dog, horse, pony, snake (viper), or wolf. If you later gain an animal companion through another source (such as the Animal domain, divine bond, hunter's bond, mount, or nature bond class features), the effective druid level granted by this feat stacks with that granted by other sources.

these can be found in the Faiths & Philosophies book
volia essentially you're a ranger as far as animal companions go,

yeah but the creature is only available to a CG arcane caster with the improved familiar feat.

most of my feats are spoken for but as a cross blooded I could get:

level 1: Laughing Touch (can gain additional uses via favored class option)
level 3: Arcane bond (familiar)
level 7: feat improved familiar
level 9: Fleeting Glance

Female awww, but that would be telling unknown

Ullo. I seem to be somewhat conscious and only mostly miserable. I am soooo looking forward to Wednesday. Spending two weeks eating everything that is bad for me has...not been as fun as it sounded when I started. I never want to see another cookie again ever.....at least until a couple days after I stop eating all this crap. Then I'll want it more than anything. :/

Anyhoo...catching up on the game. Ah, we have our goblin PE teacher back? Okay, so this has really gone down exactly how I was afraid it would. Jess, no problems with you needing to take long breaks. Real life first, of course. But the PE teacher is needed for more regular interactions. I think the goblin is getting busted down to elementary PE teacher. You still get to make the kids play dodge-bomb, but it's not as big a deal when you need to take breaks.
Unless someone else wants to play the high school PE teacher (with the understanding that it is a time commitment) I'm gonna put Nanami in that spot.

And I'll work on getting posts up in the game thread as soon as I can.

Shadow Lodge

Any character with a CHA of 13 and Skill Focus can take the Eldritch Heritage feat.

Ya know I was just wondering last night where DB3 had gotten to
