We're doing a gestalt arena in pairs. ¼ roleplaying ¾ arena face smashing.
Doing it in partner groups, but we do currently have an odd man out who could use a partner. ^_^

Our opinions make very little difference, it's whether or not you have fun playing.
Solid RP so far. Very stiff, very set in his ways, very likely to break lots of people if they get in his way.
In short, a great military special forces agent, which is what I am assuming he is, at least in part.

Aaaaand now I remember why I shouldn't let the game go for a whole day....well, I didn't mean to, but I was reading a book and it was really good and I kept saying that I'd stop after just one more chapter...and then I was out of chapters. And out of daytime. Oops. :)

MD, as far as armor goes, you can have as much armor as you want so long as it isn't magical. Same goes for everyone. But truth be told, you'll stick out like a sore thumb going around in armor. Not many do. Well, for field trips maybe. Combat exercises in PE. Maybe some of the after-school clubs (fencing club has some folks that like at least a little armor). But just to walk around school? Would definitely be weird.
Well, I wasn't exactly meaning he was going to wear it all day every day :) just for special occasions when he's actually needing it
Okay, well, then as I said, as long as it isn't magical, you can have as much armor as you like. In fact, pretty much whatever non-magical equipment you could want is freely available at Avalon.
Do tactical nuke arrow heads count as non-magical equipment??

There are rules in the Dragonstar setting for Light armour which can get up to +8 AC I think. I will look at the PDFs I have when I get home. Of course, Power Armour gives like 17 AC or something like that, so obviously it's another 'setting specific' thing that Lyn will have to approve, but given the power level in the game, should be fine.

They are definitely worth reading. You'd want to start with Kushiel's Dart. I'm reading the second trilogy now. Very different feel even though many of the characters are the same which is appropriate considering the viewpoint character has changed. :)
