That happens to my group sometimes too. We end up playing alot of Smash Bros Brawl (especially since I downloaded a re-balacing fix, makes it SO much better. As good as Melee IMO)

While I was on vacation for thanksgiving I got to run a couple of sessions for my RL game where I actually had all the players there in person. It was so much better than playing over skype.

You could halt its progress, yes. But you'd still be infected. Which means you can't be re-infected, so at least it's guaranteed to not get worse.

It's simple logic. That level of protectiveness is jealousy.
Igni isn't dumb. He can put two and two together.
Guy (a more skilled and successful one at that) is with your girlfriend, you instantly blame him.

DK, I have to agree with Icehawk here. Jealousy is a very logical conclusion to make. And to my knowledge Igni has seen Renkai behaving possessively towards Melody at least one other time. It's not that big a jump.

1. Jealousy would be reasonable if I caught them alone in the library studying a book together. . . She left with him in a spaceship and came back hospitalized..
2. Igni isn't a people person, as far as the story has been revealed he doesn't 'get' people very well... yet he jumps directly to the conclusion that renkai is exceedingly jealous of Arthur despite Renkai being fairly laid back about people's pasts.
3. How exactly is "protective of hospitalized girlfriend" illogical compared to "he is jealous of Arthur's success?"

Igni has stated over and over that he spends time studying people and the relationships between them. He keeps all his emotions bottled up which makes him awkward, but he still can observe. Also, conclusion jumping is a sacred right of anyone. :P People do it all the time. Sometimes by dumb luck they're even right. No sense getting upset because someone made a lucky guess.
And he has previously demonstrated possessive behavior. Not to mention that Igni was able to hear some of the banter between Mel and Arthur during the flight. See previous comment about lucky guess.Also, remember that Igni is also upset, confused, and trying to deal with emotions he'd rather not have. So he is lashing out in much the same way he's accusing Renkai of doing. It doesn't have to be a logical response. It may end up with both of them in detention.
Yeah, sorry I'm not convinced. The thing is, right or wrong, I can see how Igni would have jumped to that conclusion without any metagame knowledge, so his comment stands and you can deal with it in character.

Heh. Yeah. It's a good thing that Raelle isn't much for holding grudges. But some of her friends (like Ginni) will be harder to win over.
