I would, but I really don't have a reason to. I thought Renkai is just there for a checkup or something to do with shrapnel...
I took the dress back to your room and kept the rest of them in mine. Now I'm just wandering around until I guess that you're back.
Sorry. :/

I'm many things, but courageous is not one of them. He is waiting for you to decide and tell him. If he looks for you, he feels like he's forcing a decision on you and he doesn't want to do that and thinks that if he does that, your even less likely to say yes.
Also, ooc, he wouldn't find you. He doesn't know you're in town.
If I can't find anyone, I /might/ go into town to get more fabric.
Hey, DB3, what did we do with those two necklaces we found? The shield other one and the other?
I think I still have them and no one expressed interest in them earlier....

Tybalt Baneko |

I think so. I don't remember. I'm pretty sure I put at least one of them in my ∞ pockets.

We were in the volcano before the bird maze and we found a room and there was a desk. We found two amulet necklaces. I appraised them and you said that one was Shield Other and the the other was normal which I assumed was the focus for the other half of the spell. I think Dave took the spell one which would be the one to draw damage and I took the normal one which would be defended and put it in my pocket.

USA Kids get Hunger Games and the UK kids get Doctor who.
Tell's you all you need to know about how about the kind of Morality each country's Media seeks to teach its kids.
A amoral violent story of kids killing kids.
or
A story a man seeking to save lives and bring hope by using his brains and humanity over violence.
Then for grown ups, Braking bad, where a Child Killing Drugs lord is the hero.
Huuummm
I think the USA needs a good Doctor.

O and I bit of WHO info,
Long has been the debate of CAN the doctor regenerate as a WOMAN.
Well look up on YouTube
The Night of the Doctor
Now hear what options he is given for his next regenerate.
hehe
end of the debate.
if you read the books and occasional comic you would already know that was an option (albeit rare)

I hadn't actually thought that far ahead concerning those books, Magic. It's safe to say they keep recording the worst features of the person they are linked to.
Nothing special about the amulets, though you are right that the non-magical one's wearer gets the other half of the damage. Like a mundane lightning Rod for magical lighting, except obviously not actual electricity.

A amoral violent story of kids killing kids.
[sarcasm]Riiiight. Cause it's totally not a story about the ethics of survival (at which point does killing for the sake of survival become right/wrong), and it's definitely not a commentary about the voyeurism in society vis-a-vis 'reality' shows. Yup, definitely a completely one-dimensional story with no subtleties at all, and completely about the violence. Uh-huh. It's a shame those themes aren't in the book at all.
Oh well, at least we have a MacGuyver wanna-be to fix all the things with his brain so that we don't have to think for ourselves.[/sarcasm]
:P
(I actually have no opinion of Doctor Who, since I haven't seen enough of it to make a real judgement. Just being contrary. ;P)

Tybalt Baneko |

So magic one halves damage and the non magic one takes the other half?
If so, Dave and I have those backwards. I don't have the hit points for that. >_<
Good thing I'm not wearing it.
As far as the books go, good to know...
I guess I could be giving those back to people right now.

Saying Hunger Games is all about the violence is like saying...take your pick...
Okay, that went on a bit long.
Anyways, the way I see it, Brits have Doctor Who and we have Star Trek. Both are idealistic, delightfully corny (but often surprisingly clever) sci-fi shows. Neither are really my cuppa Earl Grey (okay, I might like one of them), but they're perfectly good shows. Wombat isn't all wrong, but I think trying to just say "America loves violence because it has violent TV shows" and invoking Hunger Games, of all movies (as opposed to a less symbolic show like Game of Thrones--whoops, that's almost half-british, maybe bad example) is kinda unnecessary. ;D

Kobold Catgirl |

Y'know, the "oversimplified movie/TV show/webcomic" approach is kinda fun. Minecraft? All about fighting zombies. Community? All about how stupid community colleges are. Buffy? All about one-dimensional villains and cheerleader superheroes. Dr. McNinja? All about intentionally invoking Rule of Cool in a desperate attempt to convince people it's funny. This approach? All about finding ways to childishly dis things I don't care for.
Wait, is this thing still recording?
For the record, I enjoy Dr. McNinja. Just felt the need to complain while I was here and...uh...*vanishes in poof of smoke*

I'm also from the empire, though a simi-civilian I worked for my parents' company barren industries.
me and my folks left voluntarily though we had to split up
we have very different views of our home, and I can't wait for arthur to meet your guy

Normal Guy: father, mother, job...
Archimedes: cloned, trained, kidnapped..
I think there is a good reason for differing opinion

Ghalen Kiln |

Ghalen: Cloned, educated, tortured by drow...I mean trained.
Fun times.

Master Dungeoneer |
There's also a good chance that Arthur's parent's company made his weapon and that both he and I know how it works and any and all its faults.
Was this directed at me?
I find it unlikely that an imperial top secret facility would have its weaponry made with all of the other run of the mill weapons
(However) I could be wrong, I am not sure of how the empire runs/thinks.

Monkeygod |

Just because the Empire is your top buyer, does not mean your family designed Archimedes' weapon. Of course the Empire is the top buyer, they have the most military units, the most money, and the most influence.
Its like the Empire in Star Wars, they are probably the main buyer for random XYZ weapons manufacturer, but do you honestly think that's who they buy the weapons they give their Imperial Guardsman from?
Pretty sure Master Dungeoneer should decide who designed his weapons, with Lyn having final say.
