They're not the most observant, but there's a lot of them (though they can't have more than three in one area at a time) and with their restriction on being near each other they'll cover the same ground multiple times. If Ephebe offers them coffee as a reward their perception becomes remarkably better. ;P

Yep Carl's all about, Gravity and its manipulation, any thing like a large worm whole would shift the gravity fields that close to someone like Carl, the how, is he has the mutant eye back ground trait, that's been tweaked to pick up mass/gravity waves. The idea is he would see disturbances like waves rippling space. Bit like a stone dropped in a pond. It's not tremor sense that's not the same, that just vibrations, this is gravity sense, seeing the gravity field around him.. In fact that gives me an idea, Carl's dark vision is no such thing, it's him just using his mass vision, means he sees in monochrome just the same, but with large mass things out side the 60" range he can pick them up. The idea being this is how he sees in space. But they have to be big massive things until he gets very close. So as to keep rules working.

Looking at it, I think if I just have Carl have a kind of Blindsense, but based on mass, and that works just like Dark vision that stays with in the game mechanics of pathfinder.
