In character it appears to be an ordinary non-magical shepherd's crook to everyone. There are many reasons why he wouldn't be able to destroy it. Including having some small glimmer of a conscience about doing something mean to the one person who sticks by him.

And I had gotten 3 years of sex ed by the time I was Midori's age. I'm with you though - I had a crush when I was 11, so I get it. Remember, sex ed for the younger kids is more about puberty/bodies changing than anything else.
I'm guessing Ephebe isn't going to enjoy it if the little girls start coming up to her asking why they are bleeding.

If you guys go to one of the playrooms in the elementary wing you'll find all the board games you could ever want.
Edit: In fact you would have to relocate to find them. The infirmary would discharge Chara once she was better and they definitely don't keep those things around so if you're pulling out board games the assumption has to be that you've gone to one of the playrooms. There is an exit off of the infirmary that goes through Nala's office to the elementary school.
