Gestalt is interesting. You take two classes and you're treated as having equal levels in both. Rather than adding things together you take the higher value of both in everything. It's a little more powerful than normal, but the economy of actions keeps it from being as much more powerful as it might look at first glance.

Okay so far we have
Time - Ephebe
Death - Krays
Madness - mysterious bad guy
Love - Amada
Darkness - Asch
Creation - Solivala
Song - new guy, Gaelvin
Dreams - new character (DB3)Still up for grabs:
Fear
Light
Hope (although I have a potential concept for this guy, he's a real jerk)I'm okay if nobody wants any of those last three but I want to make sure that anyone who wants to play one of them gets the chance. Also if someone else has a concept for Hope I'm happy to step aside. It's not like I don't have enough NPCs already. If nobody takes them Fear and Light are most likely going to end up as allies of Madness.
Whew. Just finished scrambling through the last few pages to catch up... (o.O)
I'm guessing it would be way too cheesy to offer up Will as a candidate. But since Fear is up there, I thought I would humbly suggest its opposite. Fei even has green fashion accessories now, even if it is only coincidence...and a much longer potential lifespan than most other humans, if that's a sticking point (^.^)
(Though I suppose one could argue that he could fit Light as well, given his association with a sun god.)

Are we going to be able to hold up our rings and call a powerful outsider? :D
I suggest Courage for Fei.
"You have a warrior's spirit."
"No I don't."
"Are you afraid?"
"Yes."
"Are you still going to fight?"
"... Yes."
"That is a warrior's spirit."
This came from a book called Eon: Dragoneye Reborn. It's on my list to suggest to people.

+1.
The paperwork is a bit of a headache to keep track of, but once you have it, it's a great variant. I use it pretty much exclusively in my RL games (and because my wife won't go back to the standard way, but who's counting, neh? ^-^)

And here I have tried my level best to make sure that Fei does not use contractions in any of his dialogue. ;D
In all seriousness though - as I haven't ever thought of Fei as overly courageous, I guess that means it's a good fit too. That dialogue would be pretty spot on...

The Dalesman |

Not courageous? Who took on a big blue creature knowing that doing so might set off his kinetic boom?
Fair point. Though one could argue that example as being more reckless than courageous (but that would be the masters of his order talking...)
;)
Fei, of the Sun Soul |

Enter Plane Song Gaelvin, was the intro good or lack luster? ;P
As the person with one of the most unassuming game entrances to date, I cannot make a qualified judgment on that... ;D

I'm wondering if I should help Ephebe recover from her latest act of recklessness.
The whole white fire covering her body thing didn't came from me, did it? When I helped keep her alive long enough for Solivala to remove the impurities?
She's unconsciously modeling the form of the energy from that, yeah. Not that it's a big leap. It's a mix of fire, force, and positive energy. If she could learn to leave that last one out she'd stop putting herself in danger.
The fire is from her Hunter side, the force is her dragon ability just modified to be used in a form other than breath weapon. And the positive energy is what's holding this all together.
The Dalesman |

I don't think it's hurting her per se - it may be that the positive energy infused in her has linked up with her own life force. She needs to learn when to switch that 'off' so she doesn't drain her own life energy to fuel her abilities.
Or I just haven't been paying attention and missed something entirely. Don't mind me... (^-^)

You realize that still sounds like it's hurting her, right?

Thus the per se in my statement, young grasshopper... (-_-)
My angle is that she's weakening herself by tapping into something most beings can't touch (and for good reason). She's essentially giving her own life away when she pulls too much from this energy. In that light, she's not so much 'damaging' herself as she is 'diminishing' herself. Kind of like the elves in Lord of the Rings. (-Ish.)
(But, of course, all of this is gobbledygook as we don't know what Lyn's plans are for Ephebe's new powers. I'm just thinking out loud here)
:)

lynora |

How about cuff like Fei's, that hold life energy siphoned off and then reintroduce it into her system?
Really she just needs to learn to control the flow of energies enough to stop putting positive energy into her attacks. Since the positive energy is tied to her life energy if it stays put she'll stop draining bits of her life away. Control is really the key thing for her since she currently has none.

Gaelvin may be able to help, songs are all about harmony so maybe his power could help her find that balance she needs. He could find her "song" is off when he meets her. But thats all in the realm of the DM.
It's a good thought, but I don't think fits in this case. She isn't off balance so much as in need of learning how to control the flow of energies in her body.

Admin-Bot delivers schedule changes to Ephebe and Fei. Both have been enrolled in a new elective course - PEMC101: Personal Energy Management and Control.
The good news? Small class size.
The bad news? It replaces your Lunch period... (;_;)
;P

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

Its over man, game over, Ephebe is going to eat Fei ahhhhhhhh man. XD
Could not help myself :)
Nice.
\m/_(^-^)_\m/But you have absolutely no idea how much gastro-intestinal distress Fei would visit upon any creature that tries to eat him. Trust me on this. (o.O)
(And no - I truly did not think I would be typing anything like this when I woke up this morning....) :P

I thought that was, like, a rule or something by now...
Damn campaign by-laws mess me up every time.... ;D

OK lycanthrope...
Not champion of fear yet...
monk/ninja were-mole...
modeled after bakuryu from Bloody Roar...
His stealth wont be as good as kitties (LOL) but it'll be good.
His usual tactics are ambush but can straight up fight.
As a were mole, his claws are rediculous (i'll give him one size higher unarmed damage) and he'll have standard anime ninja tricks, which are pretty well portrayed by the UC class...
