What everyone assumed is that I had been there the whole time... I had just faded in....And I am human, I would change how I act... But I expect everyone to do so... I don't mind because by changing how they act and what they say.... Tells me just as much
Non of that and the sex of you PC is known in game, what is know is your a possible clear in present danger and until your PC dos something in game to change that, thats what your PC will stay,
its that simple, complaining here is pointless.

Wasn't complaining was pointing out I understand and expect others to meta game slightly when they (not their character) knows I am spying

Heu spug since Johnnys in the class room with Tyb and Ormarr you can say whatever you like. Also DB3 could I get a reply for Tyb's last post? Kinda got wrapped up in ryo/vare

Expect to nap for about an hour, wake up seven hours later; sounds about right. Doesn't look like anything I can really jump into, though, so doesn't matter too much. Still nothing said from Lyn about the PME table (which is fine, don't get me wrong), so still won't really be going for those, anyway.

Lang - this isn't a usually day. Classes are usually far more skipped over in general, but this was the first day so it was a good idea for it play out.
Either way, I would put forth an elemetary school character, but it would be an NPC type student at best. Five characters is difficult to keep up with as is.

I'm gone for one day and wow! Had a lovely day with the family, decided to put off seeing Oz and went to see Jack the Giant Killer which was overall a fun, entertaining film. And now to catch up.
Alright, a few thoughts....
WoM: Dude, seriously, emoticons. Tone does not travel on the internet. They let people know when you're joking.
All: No worries, I know the arc behind WoM, it's fine and no need to be distressed. He did shorten the length of time before he gets caught significantly based on how and when he chose to appear, but it's all good and not off the rails. How WoM will deal with the not small amount of fallout from this is yet to be seen. Should prove interesting.
Spugly: WTH, man? Please tell me most of that about the copying thing was joking. If so, see note about emoticons. If not, please drop me a PM cause we need to discuss some stuff.
Umi: I am confused. I already approved those PMEs. I think maybe my message didn't go through for some reason. Sorry you were waiting on that. I certainly didn't intend for that to be the case.
Lang, I am so sorry. I had a whole series of younger characters. I swear there is some kind of curse or something because those always seem to be the players that disappear. :(
All: I think we've got all we can handle of the older kids for a little bit (aside from one's already in process...and many apologies for my lack of feedback on the one waiting. That's not an easy one to figure out.), but if you have an idea (that isn't undead....please?) for a younger character let's please try to get a few more in play so they have more interactions and their stories don't end up languishing. Obviously some of you have as many characters as yiou can handle, but some others don't so if you can please consider doing this.
I will try to catch up on the game thread as best I can. If I missed your post, let me know, there's a lot and sometimes stuff gets buried. I've read it all on my phone, but in spite of the best of intentions when I go back later to reply sometimes I don't see one.

Just gonna pre-empt this here Lyn, and say that I am waiting on the result of Ace's knowledge nature check regarding Kami (they're discussing Ori over lunch).
It seems like the kind of thing which would easily slip through the cracks, hence me putting it out there now.
If I can come up with a compelling enough concept for a younger student, I will put him in. I kinda miss Ephebe after all. She's all busy and responsible these days ;)

Umineko |

Well, I know you approved the first half, Lyn; it's the second half that I'm worried about. Not sure if you ever got them, too be honest; the web did die out that day for a few minutes shortly after I sent it, so it may have gotten all garble-fangled in the doodly-widgets that we call cyberspace. >w>

Yes, I'm telling you I sent you a PM approving the second half as well. It must have got eated. You're all set with those. :)

GM Fireclaw |

Of the wall question: Has anyone ever read The Fionavar Tapestry?

I just replied to that!
And yeah, I don't want anyone to feel forced to create a younger student, but I'd really like to breathe some life into that part of the school. :)

Ah, it did in fact get eated, then. At least I got to say garble-fangled and doodly-widgets; you'd be surprised how rare it is to be able to say those two in the same sentence. People really need to use them more often. :/
In that case, though, things will certainly get silly around the school when Rahz finds a good opportunity to cause the crazy and not get caught in the process.

GM Fireclaw wrote:Of the wall question: Has anyone ever read The Fionavar Tapestry?Never even heard of it.
Unsurprising. Canadian authors get the snub :P
It is pretty much my - scratch that, it is definitely my favourite book (technically a trilogy) of all time. It's High Fantasy, comprable with LoTR.
Unfortunately alot of the concepts don't port over that well into D&D, but it's... wonderful, to put it simply. It makes you really feel all the things.

Lyn,
Any chance I can get a reaction/response from Kitty? I complimented her and then asked about spending more time with her.
For the children, are they limited at in levels, beyond the normal cap? Not that what I have in mind needs to be 16th level, but if say they should be tenth or so, twould be nice to know.
The one I am sorta workin could easily be a kid, and might work better as one, depending.

I'm level 8 :)

GM Fireclaw |

I'm not entirely sure of your concept Ace, but being fully statted out matters even less for the elementary kids I imagine.
Fun fact: Ehos isn't fully statted. He isn't really a combat character, so I have a basic idea of his abilities, skill invetetures, feats, classes, but beyond that, I've never actually given real numbers to em. If I roll checks it's guesswork/logic with him.
If I were going to roll an elementary student, I probably won't take the time to fully stat him out, just give him something to run with.

They can be higher level (ie normal cap) and there are some concepts that works great for. A lot of the time lower levels works better for them. Or more often lower level in almost everything, but maybe one ability that functions at a higher level, just not reliably.

"Ace" |

I'm not worried about stats so much as level, and what exactly I can and can't do.
Having access to only third level spells is much different than having access to say even fifth level, let alone higher.
Besides which, there's certain class abilities I am interested, though even that isn't such a limit, but it helps to know what I can work within.

"Ace" |

How awesome is Ace?
Awesome enough to make that quote in what I just posted.
Who else is awesome enough to know which part is the quote and from whom??

he doesn't look undead, he doesn't act udead, but being brought back by a dietity of death (and kinda sorta being his son) has side effects but I can not do this if you don't like it, either way.

Lang Fei |

just to let ya all know I wasn't complaining the game just can hit lulls for some at various times. there were plenty of times Lang was with lots to do. I was just bored because it was someone elses turn to be in the limelight, but that isn't a problem, just the way the game is.
Oh and for level Lang is level 16 but he is kind of a special case considering his purpose.

GM Fireclaw |

Not trying to bash other people's choices to stat things out or be higher level or whatever. Just saying that, with the tiny amount of combat and no real need for skill checks, stats should be used as guidelines.
Or to quote Pirates of the Carribean: "They're more... guidelines than actual rules.". ;)
Anyway, working on a concept for the young 'un. Maybe you'll have a new friend Lang :)

Oh, good, i thought it was joking, but sometimes it's hard to tell and I have had more than one otherwise sane person go off the rails because they were having a bad day. :)
Disclaimer: No actual sanity is present in this game, it's more a relative term. ;P

David.De'Foul |

No I don't know what that is but yes I was thinking about krays when I made him, he's bonded to a demon, known as a nergle demon, and sometimes talks to it and looks crazy, I'm currently thinking about what his second class will be, but I'm mostly good with him.
Edit: nergle don't know why my iPod thought I said mercado

GM Fireclaw |

Lang, no worries, I didn't think you were complaining. That said, we could use a little attention paid to that section of the school too, so hopefully it will end up more fleshed out soon. :)
On that note Lyn (this is more of a housekeeping thing), I have dropped you a couple of PMs. One is Ardiente-related, but the other is younger-children related.
