once a DM of mine gave all of us 3 bonus skill ranks that had to be spent in profession, and my character was a swashbuckler rogue/fighter. he didnt really fit in with the militia, so i took my ranks in Profession: Male Escort. the DM allowed it, then later regretted it. I had a masterwork studded leather codpiece in addition to regular clothes and leather armor. Well my character, while in his line of work, ran into someone who had a much better Use Rope than he had Escape Artist and she made off with his clothes. (I guess it was the DM trying to teach me a lesson or something, who knows? haha) anyway he made his way down the stairs and the guard told him to put pants on, and he intimidated the guard with the line "Your clothes. Give them to me." and then was arrested about 30 minutes later when that guard went and got reinforcements.
some time later i rolled two ones in a row and my leg was severely crippled, and the party's cleric of sarenrae prayed for me to be healed while cursing me for my profession, meaning that i was from then forth unable to perform my duties as a male escort for money.

Well, in all fairness, I did end up at Avalon due to a series of very poor decisions....I don't see why becoming part of the staff would change that any. ;)

BoEF Agh hate that book for the sheer stupidity of it. Sadly it is useful and gives me a hell of a lot of jokes. Mostly about the divine prostitute. And now I am reminded of a game I ran a gay dancing bug bear.
The GM broke that book out so he could figure out when the mating season for bug bears was. He made the game starting out a month past.

Figures when my bending is needed I'm not here to help. I missed a lot today.

For some reason the site doesn't think I'm good enough to alert about new posts. I have to find them myself. First world problems at their finest.

Tybalt Baneko |

To be fare the haven't been many today.
No not today the bunch that happen while I'm asleep I get notified about discussion posts but not gameplay

Now it's back to giving me updates can't make up it's mind I guess.

I have a concept in mind for another character(different than the one I PM'd you about Lyn) and I am curious:
What would be a good guideline for how many RPs I could use to build a new race via the ARG?
I'm guessing a fair amount considering some of the powerful races we already have, but I'd like a suggestion to work with.

David.De'Foul |

I really hope Dave can make it to see FAIN, but it's not looking like that's happening
Now that I think about it, there are two 'incidents' that Dave does not want her dad to know about :)
Well one left he already told him one.

Lynora-
If you are curious how the points for races are generated, it's all (for Pathfinder rules) online these days, unless mistaken at:
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/more-races
They show the math for most of the common races, along with suggested point buys for others, which could allow for making crazy ones.
Anyhow, just letting people know, in case.

Man and here I'm going to be out of town for most the beginning of the day. Oh well I'll caught up when i get back.

GM Fireclaw |

I actually did not know that. Interesting.

All good.
It's .. kind of hard to accurately portray someone in this game with all the massive stat bonuses and skills! Especially skills I, as a player, don't have. Heh.
Thus, I did take a bit of a guess there, given the writing and all, no worries though. Errors are fun, I just didn't want to too badly mistake what you wrote.
Thanks for the update though, Fireclaw.

Male Peri blooded aasimar with the diamond template sorcerer 16 wilder (leader/telepath) 3 elocater 2, thrallherd 1, pyrokineticist 10. He looks "ah, cool.. Or rather warm.. Ok that was a terrible pun and I apologize I couldn't resist, but that does add a certain flare to the performance" after a pause "wow, I didn't even mean to make that one"
I'm so proud *single tear*

Dave's narrator bows twice"thank you thank you" roses are thrown and Dave's narrator catches one in his teeth.
Cool it Morgan Freeman you're not that good yet.

Lyn, Firebirds in their bird form look kinda like this, right?

![]() |

I found a really nice pic of what I imagined a firebird looked like in both forms. I PM'd the link to Lyn during a conversation. As I am away from anything with copy/paste capabilities, Lyn would have to link it. :)
Also, I'm not really been sorry for being offline(yet. I haven't read the 127 new in-game posts) becuase I was having fun with friends. :)

I was just wondering the card casters seem pretty cool where. Did y'all get them from?

lynora |

hmm, what-are/where-can-I-find the stats for cardcasters, arcane/divine gunslingers and stuff
arcane gunslinger info is in the campaign info. Ephebe is the only divine gunslinger. Cause she's weird like that. :)
cardcasters....dunno if there were ever stats for that.
David.De'Foul |

no problem, nice to know the why, but even without the why, thats one of the nice things about PbP, it lets you do what you are able to when you are able, sceduling doesn't matter, time zones barely matter,
but always remember, RL comes first

David.De'Foul |

let me rephrase, what would be the difference between taking one level of arcane gunslinger and taking 10 other than caster lvl (which can be done just by taking lvls of your origional casting class) and BAB (which can be done by gsaulting with regular gunslinger)

There is actually a "wizard gunslinger" from Paizo in Ultimate Combat. It's an archetype, and not quite the same idea... pretty much I just love the picture on that page (sorry, pictures aren't in the OGL, and I'm not about to disrespect Paizo's copyright on their own boards). The archetype isn't even that great.

I always thought it would be cool to have an artificer with a large silver revolver as his chosen device.
