Brom follows the same procedures with the door to the next room as he did with the first. carefully listening at the door and checking to see if the door is locked. If it is locked he moves back so skully can work her magic on the door.

Lifting a hand he gestures to Brom to enter and go right while he will enter and go left. Then raises three fingers - he count's down.
Unless interrupted, on 0 Fenn opens the door for Brom and enters after him to the left longsword and shortsword in hand.

The room you enter is a library...a surprisingly intact library. Books fill the shelves on three sides of the room. There is a small table sitting in the middle of the room with a few books lying open upon it. There is even a rather looking comfortable chair sitting beside the table. The chair is presently occupied, however, by a very dead goblin.
I've posted a spot to try and fill Skully's place.

Fenn taps Brom on the shoulder lightly to get his attention and points with his shortsowrd at the books shelves and the pile of books on the floor leading his gaze up to the section of missing books from the top shelf.
Fenn keeps his eyes on the books but steps over to the goblin, trying to figure out how the goblin died.. and what killed him?
Healing: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
But his examination seems to be inconclusive.
Whispering to the party, "Fan out. Search tha' room."
DM: Are there any obvious injuries on the goblin corpse?

After giving our friend here a look over, I will move to looking through the open books. Perhaps they will give us a clue what transpired here. Do we intend to stay here for a small while to investigate or are we going to press on?

Though Fenn can not discern any obvious wounds on the goblin, he does notice that the creature is completely desiccated. Quolamin's spell lights up the room making it easier for the group look around.
Most of the room is covered in dust. However, the area around where the goblin lies shows obvious signs of a struggle.

Fenn walks calmly over to the nearest Stirge on the floor and with a careful pause to aim - delivers a coup de grace with his longsword...

Thanks to Jeseare for pointing out the casting time on sleep. So the stirges will get to attack.
The stirges dip and dive around the room, splitting up to attack Fenn, Quolamin, and Brom.
Each of the stirges latches onto its victim and begins to feed from them.
Each of you take 1 point of constitution damage.

Brom lays the edge of his bastard sword across the Stirge's neck and carefully cuts the things head from its body. He pulls the dead creature from his body and goes to help Qualomin and Jeseare deal with the one that attacked the wizard.

Brom skewers the last of the Stirges with his Bastard Sword. Well that was fun. Is Everyone okay? He asks. has anyone found anything interesting? If not we should move on.
He moves to the door and looks out into the hallway to see if there is anyone there.

Fenn grabs looks at the shelves of books reading the titles briefly and grabs a Adventure/Romance Fiction off the shelf and a book of poetry if there is one to be found quickly. He hefts his swords and follows Brom from the room heading for the next nearest room.
