Fenn Draws his Elven Curve Blade and moves forward kicking the door open angry his voice at all the wrong volumes from the deafening effect, "DamN, aH hAte tHOse StUpiD StOnES... cAn't hEaR cRApp!"

He does not step through the door but peers around the door frame to locate the nearest goblin within reach and swings at it.

Perception: {sight... I expect the goblins to be trying to hide} 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

[OOC: This is a tactical move. Fenn is NOT stepping through the door so the goblins if on either side of the door can flank and get sneak attacks on him. He is still in the room so unless they step in front of the doorway.. both Fenn and the goblins are getting cover bonus from the hard corner.]

The Chronicler - GM:
Fenn will go for the one of the two down that hall to expand the front of conflict and not be in the way of those in the room trying to get into the fight from our room. It will also keep the Goblins from trying to pin us in the room. Its a little risky he's uncertain if its a trap of some sort... but Fenn's likely just killed one of them anyways with that 'almost crit'. Love natural 20's!
But I'll make one Perception check to see if he spots something amis...

Fenn's sword slices through one of the advancing goblins as the other stops and begins to stare off into nothingness.

Suddenly there is a roar coming from near the entrance of the house. A beastly creature, followed by another goblin, screams out in a guttural cry.

Fenn/Quolamin:
"I told you little maggots that if you made one more peep I'd tear your heads from your bodies!"

The lone goblin (in the large room) freezes, staring back and forth from the companions to the creature making his way onto the scene.

{Some advice Brom...? I'd go total defense and move 25'ft toward the Bugbear. You will be obvious to him... but he will have to move more than 10'ft to get to you... so he won't get to make a full attack. You have to make turns to get to him simply because of your positioning in the room... so you can't charge him. I'd love to coordinate with you but Fenn can't hear right now and likely does not even know the Bugbear is present. Hopefully before he gets to act NEXT round Quolimin's sleep spell - casting time 1 full round may go off and drop him before he gets two attacks on you? You could also just shoot him with your bow..but I think I'd rather have a weapon in hand to face him in melee... he doesn't seem to know WE are in here..but that won't last.

Fenn hauls back with his fist and slugs the little pest in the face... not quite willing to cut his throat when he's stunned {too much like some big bully hurting a little guy to his, 'country gentleman sense of honor'}!

The monster's roar and charge are cut short as Quolamin's spell over takes the beast. With a crash, he slams to the floor.

The ranger's blow smashes in most of the goblin's face. He slumps to the ground. He is not breathing.

The goblin Bringor shot, apparently not happy with his chances against such a powerful group, turns tail and heads for the main door.

Brom is up.

His voice still coming in odd distortion from his deafness.

Hefting his Curve Blade he comes back down the hallways ... noticing for the first time the bugbear, "AwH hELl! wHEre'D hEcK hE cOmE fRoM?"

Looking around Fenn spots the last of the goblins fleeing for the main door... he spots the last goblin who obviously came in with the Bugbear, speaks to him in goblin...

Goblin:

"oY, tInY vERMiN! wHaT's bUgBEaR nAMeD, AnD wHErE iS gOoT? yOu lEAve nOw... mAyBe wE nOT sKIn yOu lIVe fOr fUN! {heh heh!} tEll OtHEr goBlInS nO cOmE hErE or GeT wOrSE!"

Intimidate: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Bluff: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
- Fenn is bluffing.. he'd NEVER skin any creature, let alone a sentient creature {even a goblin}, alive. Fenn does not have a cruel or hateful bone in his body. But the goblin doesn't know that.. its what they would do so he'll understand the threat.

Then in frustration... Fenn realizes he can't hear any reply...

Frowning he asks his companions, "WhAt'D hE sAy?"

Then rolls his eye realizing he can't here them either even if they respond, "dAmNIt! aH hATes tHUnDeRsTOnEs!!"


I believe Q is up.

Currently, the situation is...Fenn has killed (with his sword) one goblin, smashed in the face of the second goblin (who is at -1). The bugbear is snoring on the floor. The goblin (4) that was with the bugbear is presently still standing there with his bow in his hand. And finally, goblin 3 just ran out the front door. So what would you like to do, Q?

Fenn charges after the fleeing goblin to cut him down with his Elven curve Blade...

Charge Attack w/Elven curve Blade: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 4 + 2 = 15
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Fenn flinches slightly when his Curve blade ends the Goblin - clearly the gentle young half-elf country-boy was not pleased with having to do that.. but he had little choice! The little pest even being alone STILL tried to shoot at Jeseare... even though it was obvious he was out numbered and outmatched... it showed a spiteful and mean spirit Fenn would just likely not have to be concerned about watching anymore! But the act of killing so ruthlessly still pricked his conscious to kill so mercilessly.. but the dirty and unpleasant task was done. So he took some silent relief in that at least.

"iS thErE aNy~ ..Ah ShUKs!!!", he exclaimed in frustration realizing again; even if he asked a question... he STILL could not hear the answer!

Bringor follows Brom, crossbow at the ready.


This room, which was once probably used as an office (a desk and chair have been pushed to the northern wall) is presently being used as sleeping quarters for the manors current inhabitants. Dirty, and, potentially, lice-filled bedrolls lie strewn about the room. Several discarded backpacks are stacked in one corner.

Upon seeing into the room Bringor asks, "Well, Brom,reckon we oughta see what's in those backpacks?" Then, Bringor walks over to the backpacks and inspects them closely. If they appear safe, he gingerly picks each one of them up, and--holding them at arm's length--he begins to rifle through them.

After downing the last foe... Fenn walks over to to open dining room to stand in the center..watching all the exits and entrances... guarding.

The handsome half-elven country hick/boy hefts his somewhat crudely crafted Elven Curve Blade as he continually pans his gaze about the central dining room..as he knows he can't hear for a while...
