Fenn chuckles waving his hand to the negative, "Naow hold on a moment Dervick.. ah ain't claiming ta' be nobodies leader! Heck, I got enough trouble figuring out fur mah self what I needs ta be doing! I just spoke mah mind on what Ah thought needed doing ta earn our pay.. and keep us all safe! We kinda just speak plainly where Ah'm from.. no offense or bossiness meant... honest! If you want ta do yur own thing well that's yur damn right to as any man under tha' sun! But if'n you want it spoken more nice-like.. I can abide that."
"Dervick, Would you please consider getting a horse and wagon fur our parties travel arrangements?"
"If not.. no biggie Ah can do it mah self. Just need ta know if'n you feelin' in tha cooperative mood er not?"
Turning to the rest of the party, "And tha' goes fur any o' you as well! If'n ye got a problem with some thing ah said ta do... speak yur mind and tell us if'n ya agree or not. Ah didn't mean ta make it seems like I was bossin' anyone around... jus' seemed ta make sense ta split up what we was all gonna do lest we duplicate or miss somethin'. As Ah said, where ah come from people jus speak plain and speak their minds regardless o' wha' anyone else thinks.. a body's got a right to view things his own way!"
"So if ah ever ask ya ta do somethin'... fur tha' record.. I meant please! Ah might not have tha' luxury in combat to be genteel-like, but Ah'll make an effort to be more polite if'n tha' suits yur fancy too!"

Jeseare Mahan |

You make your way to the temple dedicated to your god. It is a simple building, and a old priest is sweeping off the steps as you approach. When you stop in front of him, he looks up from his work. "Can I help you, my son?
Making sure to gesture heavily to the emblazoned holy symbol of Abadar on his shield as he speaks-
Why yes, you likely can. I am Jesseare Mahan, a late age initiate into the clergy of The Lawgiver. Im in town for a few days before I set off again. I figured it my duty to stop by and fill out any pertinent documents for a temporary transfer of district. I was also to inquire about purchasing medical supplies for the journey, if perhaps you know anything of the route to the Bishop's Gate and could make recommendations?

And, I might also have a personal concern. I'm faced with a moral quandary, you see.

Dervick Bosk |

Bosk sticks his hand out to Fenn, to shake. "I'm of the opinion that speaking plainly and clearly saves lives, so I take no issue with that. I simply wanted to express that I'm happy to work with you as a member of a team, but not as anyone's subordinate. If I wanted that, I'd still be in the army. No hard feelings from me." he says, with a smile.
"That said, I'm happy to go look for a wagon."

Sorry for the delay, interwebz troubles. My house will be down until at least Saturday, but I'll try to post whenever I can at school & work.

Fenn 'The Jr' {Winter} |

Fenn nods in acceptance differing to the elven woman's authority in matters magical - though is expression was a little disappointed as clearly he wanted to hear what the Guild Wizard said, "Yes, Ma'am."
Fenn walked over and watched the door peeking outside but clearly straining his senses to pay attention to what Zabela and the guild wizard determined.

"Tea?" He motions for you to sit. After you do, he pours you some tea and then a cup for himself. After taking a slow sip, he looks back to you. "Now, son, what is this moral quandary?"

Jeseare Mahan |

Takes the tea but goes right into talking without drinking
Uh, well, you see... I guess its kind of a hard question... that boils down to this: what is the city, its people or its rulers? Lets say, uh, the only prince has a birth defect, looks all strange but is mentally competent. The citizens dont want him but then the king dies. If our goal is to do whats best for the kingdom, are we supposed to try and convince the city the prince is fit to rule or let who knows what happens with the next ruler? Either way its not a pretty picture.
So, like, I guess the question is it alright as a representative of Abadar, father of cities, to think you know whats best for people and to try and make it happen?

Fenn 'The Jr' {Winter} |

Fenn gets a perplexed look on his face, "...so what your telling us is... big deal? How common is the magic to make permanent portals... is there not a danger in that? I mean opening up doorways from one place to another with no one watching who or what comes through it? Isn't that a danger to the general peoples of the area? Or is that not really your concern... as there is no profit in protecting the unsuspecting public?"

Fenn still looks perplexed but shrugs and remains silent... though his expression makes it clear he felt he had posed a valid question, which was NOT answered!

Aye, if I knew what was best I could do it. Thats the rub. I guess for now I'll just have to put the thinking on hold and wait for Abadar himself to guide me when the time comes. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going down the wrong path.
If thats about as settled as can be for now I did have some more practical matters while we are here. My travels may soon be taking me up and around the Bishop's gate area - I was supposed to ask for a quote on some common healing supplies. Or, maybe, you know the area a bit better than i and can make some recommendations?

Fenn 'The Jr' {Winter} |

Fenn is clearly not well-disposed to the very mercenary Wizard's guild... but holds his peace.
Fenn was not about to say anything seeing as no need to 'throw vinegar on on fresh cake', as it were, since they... sort of, got what they wanted out of the money-grubing bureaucrat, but when she took his arm and Fenn felt the soft feminine curves pressed against him... he had trouble resisting anything she might request of him!
So he was a little slow in coming out of the stupor when the street waif hailed them.
Fenn only managed a reply of, "Uh.. yeah ah'm Fenn." and "Uhm.. ok."
As he tried to pull his mind away from focusing on the enticing smell, and soft warmth of the elven woman so close to him...
So they made their way back to Dugan's office...
