GM Aldizog |
@Grimdog, I fully intend to run more Core games, if you want to stick around. The party can always use a Merisiel! If it was a 3-7 scenario, you could play the level-4 pregen and then apply her Chronicle sheets right away.
@All, chronicles are here.
Please take a look for accuracy.
Session has been reported.
The next one in the original plan was Fires of Karamoss. I don't think that is one that I've played, so I might sub it out for something that I have played. I will take a few days to think about it if that is okay.
I can tell you that another one in the original plan, The Wardstone Patrol, I have just recently run in Core and I know at least one player was in that game. So that one will be changed out too.
I prefer playing to running, but I do love Core and want it to continue, so I am willing to run another for this campaign.
Deluge-Core |
I'd be happy to join in on whatever. I do have my games in PFS Tracker if that helps.
GM Aldizog |
#4-19, Night March of Kalkamedes, is a Tier 1-5.
@Deluge, didn't you just hit level 6? Would you like me to redo your Chronicle sheet with Slow Track if we were to do Night March next?
@Grimdog, my mistake - since you actually would have a PC in tier, you would play that and would not be able to play a Merisiel pregen.
You would go back to a pregen if we did any 5-9's, but would bring your fighter if we did 1-5's or 3-7's.
Fethril Support |
I can use a replay on Night March if that is the plan. Anything to get to more XP. I can see why the Mystic Thurge is such a rough build. I had thought the versatility would be worth it, but it is so underpowered. Like laughably so. Still, the next game would get me to 2nd level spells in both.
Morka Tuxx |
@GM Aidzog, I have played through S06-17 Fire of Karamoss so i would be happy to GM the next game if you would prefer. Would give you a chance to play, and to be honest I wouldn't mind putting Morka down for a game or two.
Morka Tuxx |
Alright team, then in that case i will quickly read the scenario now, prepare the maps and then get the ball rolling this afternoon.

For that one I could bring the level 7 cleric Kyra pregen if that's ok with folks. This was the first and last time I played the Valeros level 7 pregen... they spent too much money on his two swords and the rest of him contains a large amount of suckage.
Deluge-Core |
Well, we all got a whole bunch of replays when edition 2 came out.
I've saved them for just such situations as grimdog is having. Also in case I want to run a second character through seeker level scenarios. So that is an option too.
Morka Tuxx |
Aight, so taking into account that the level the party should be right this moment is 5.2 based on 'the plan' of ScortchedOne's Insane Run idea, i think we need to come up with an alternate plan with the current group.
So what are everyone's level of the core characters they wish to play?
Morka - level 5.2
Morka Tuxx |
So this group appears to be level 4 and level 8 which is a very large variance. Either way someone will have to play a pregen. What would people prefere, 3-7 or 5-9 tier? I am happy to run anything.
Purple Dragon Knight |
3-7 would be my vote, but I'll do 5-9 if you guys still want a level 7 cleric pregen along... it's the Core campaign: I'm in no rush to progress these characters and joining for the pure fun factor (hence the roleplaying of Valeros as the ham he is... with Kyra, the roleplay will be more like... Kyra...)
Morka Tuxx |
Okay, seeing as the majority of the group is in the bracket of 5-9 tier, i will present a list of options below which we can play, so please let me know which ones they have played out of these, and we will do the odd one out.
5-03 Hellnight's Feast;
5-07 Port Godless;
If we have overlap with the above, here are the other options i recommend which are in line with what we are playing/running.
4-03 The Golemworks Incident;
4-06 The Green Market;
4-17 Tower of the Ireonwood Watch;
or the
4-22, 24 and 25 Glories of the Past (Trilogy, 3 scenarios)
Please cast your votes, i am familiar with all of these adventures as i have played them in standard, so should be no problem running them.
Deluge-Core |
Ditto. And all but tow of those I have not played in standard either.
Kavor Doan |
Okay, okay, the GM asked me to pop back in. I didn't want to be a factor in you picking a Tier 3-7.
But since you are going 5-9 you get my dwarf.
He doesn't overshadow James in melee and he doesn't overshadow Fethril as a caster, so I think he is fine to bring along even though higher level.
I have done #4-06 in Core. Not the others.
Glories of the Past sounds fun for my dwarf... but will do any of them.
GM Tealk |
I will run the rather short, S04-17 Tower of the Ironwood Watch first just so you can see my style of GMing, and then if you are happy with me, i am happy to run the Glories of the Past trillogy.
Please update your perception and initiative on the maps. I have gone ahead and created all the maps for the next adventure. And please update any tokens on the first page. :)
First post is up in Gameplay.
James Rob-in-son |
This is my only PFS character I've actually played and only in this Core run so I'm good with whatever I guess.
I did make some purchases:
+1 Scythe
Ring of Protection +1
Cloak of Resistance +1
Amulet of Natural Armor +1
and still have money left. If anyone has any suggestions from the can always by list let me know. I already have a CLW wand.
Fethril Support |
Maybe some items that prevent damage/remove conditions?
Remove blindness/deafness
Lesser Restoration
Restoration
Energy resistance
And of course, Ghosttouch
I was thinking about eventually buying a +1 ghosttouch net to hand off to a martial melee character at the beginning of a dungeon a little later on. Just toss it on the ghost and beat the ethereal tar out of it.
Deluge-Core |
Deluge is going to get a Lesser Metamagic Rod of Extend. For 2 PP he will get a scroll of 5 lesser restorations.

antitixin/antiplague are great for their cost. remove paralysis is a good choice too.
I believe Antiplague is not Core but does pop up on some Chronicle sheets.

Kavor Doan will pick up a scroll of Haste. He plans to be in "Fighter Mode" with his armor on (and Still Spells prepared), but he intends to give the scroll to Fethril.
