Samias was starting to think travelling with this circus wasn't worth the supposed safety of numbers. 'They have no guides or trackers?' He thought in tired disbelief.

it's a caravan, they carry their food with them, they're also traveling a well traveled road. the badgers may be solitary, but you did see a lot of their tracks

"right, well I'm not taking any chances, after tonight we'll be marching overnight tommorrow, doubt we'll be able to more than one night so that's what we'll do. I'll break this news in the morn." he looks at Adriala cleaning the carcass "are you uhh... keeping that?"

Adriala says "hell yes I am, this thing is gonna make an awesome cape!"

Hashik isn't mocking Adriala, rather he is wrapped up in a possible image makeover. He is constantly looking for ways to freshen his style and or disguise himself.

the rest of the night passes uneventfully.

the morning news is met with groaning and complaining of all sorts. the caravan goes forward with ease. Samias with the survival rolls you got you can tell you pass through the territory of at least 20 badger dens.

you get to the campsite the night after tomorrow without any difficulty aside from the expected complaining. does anyone want to buy anything from the caravan (horses, a cart) before the next encounter?

100gp for a cart, horse, and enough feed to never think about it again. anyone can drive a cart, literally anyone. scared and unruly animals are a different matter though.

the first horse drops from heatstroke and exhaustion late afternoon on the second day. the caravan stops and starts making camp right then and there. an hour passes, will anyone buy the cart combo?

a couple of hours after the caravan stops to camp you all see 10 badgers cresting the hill and rushing out from 200 feet out looks like you will have 2 turns to prepare. Adriala says "I'm gonna kill me some badgers. don't get in my way." and starts walking out to meet them, bloodstained wood in hand.

Something you can do. Cast the spell and hold it. Then move in and attack in the next round. Slower but no concentration rolls, which are hard for low levels. Or get the combat cast feat.
