Trying to turn her slightly so she's not facing the guards directly.
"Greetings! Me and my daughter here …", tilting his head toward Karla,

"Just out enjoying ourselves before being cooped up in a ship for several weeks."

To be honest I thought we left her there. we didn't split up her gear. I thought we were going to leave her there and if she came back she would reenter the plot.If you were going to DM-Npc her, I think we would have healed her.

alot of people on the main roads are trying to get water over there. you can manage to go another 6 blocks before having to cross a main road. will you still be carrying her around?

you're all waved on past with the civilians and are free to run for your life at leisure. you get to the red light district with no problems. Hashik leads you all to a certain building and is eagerly greeted by the attendant

says Draalûsh as he leaves his gear where the attendant indicates.
"This kind of kit doesn't come cheap!"
the attendant starts to catalogue and box the weapons, noting each of you individually. "you all are lucky, it's looking to be a slow night. something about another fire near where you work Hashik, bet you were pissed about that." 'she' leads you into the main room where some of the ladies are.
"you need anything put the money on the table. I'll go get the mistress."

"So, what are the rumours about this fire, then?", he asks nobody in particular.
there's like 10 couches around arranged at various lines of sight, when you ask the question one of the escorts plops down right beside you and says
"apparently the arsonist strikes again. there was a street gang that was trying to collect her bounty, but she had a gang of old women who are also arsonists with her. they all escaped in the chaos. can't wait to see the new wanted posters. everybody's too busy panicking for a good ol' roll in the hay." she says pouting
