Xyla Delacroix |

Xyla comes up from below deck.Shares her following introduction: "Well Im Xyla Delacroix, I am a former adventurer and pirate. I was born of the earth in a jungle area which is how my wings were formed. I lived on my own in the forest for quite some time, at least it seemed, Which is the time I stumbled upon Mirri Zyanna wounded, a baby, and alone. I helped heel and take care of her and we created an everlasting friendship. I stumbled upon an egg at a fairly young age and it was really pretty and so I kept it because it was all alone and one day it hatched and there was a strange bond that happened that day and so began mine and Alyi Elendoni's relationship. We trained and traveled, seeking adventure and learned the ways of pirates. We stumbled upon here several years ago and have been awaiting for a chance to adventure and sail again. At least this time we have a crew that isn't scary and smelly. Chuckles I look forward to what adventures my future holds with you all"

Links are not working for me. In order to understand "a few days travel" I need to understand the ship's speed and what it is relative to other sly craft. That is my goal for this initial voyage - to learn what the ship can do.

Teleron Haloron |

Teleron speaks up with his introduction.
My name is Teleron, I apologize for being so reserved earlier I needed to see how everyone would react to me, most peoples first reaction to a dhampir is finding a stake or accusing me of being a creature of the Abyss. I am a Cleric of Ithriea. I have sailed for several years now but it seems like ages, I am looking for answers, forgive me for not telling you to what yet i still need to know if i trust everyone. Rose here seems like the best help I've had in a while to gain that goal, and i couldn't ask for a more beautiful ship to travel with......nor a more interesting crew."
To Hal and Frejya:"in regards of to position on the ship I can not say I desire a particular post nor am very skillful in any, so i trust my captains judgement to assign a position that needs filled and i will preform it to the best of my ability."

Hal the Sky Stalker |

Hal looks at the maps and attempts to analyze them by usefulness. Of the three, Wer Zhaan seems the best. Cancony seems too spread out and barren to make a useful base, it also would be easy to spot us from a distance. Lodeg appears to already have a small settlement, which would be inconvenient at best and downright problematic at worst. Wer Zhaan appears uninhabited, it seems to have plenty of room for settlement that wouldn't be obvious from a distance, and so from a practical standpoint I say that Wer Zhaan is the best choice.

Arioch the swift |

Nice maps, definitely want to visit all of them at some point :)
After having put up his hammock in one of the crew quarters, Arioch had joined the rest of the crew at the meeting area on the top deck. He was leaning on one of the chairs as he had done before, while listening to the others.
When Teleron introduced himself Arioch replied.
"I can understand your caution, my people used to be feared and hunted on sight by most humans. Apparently, that changed for the better when we helped getting people to the sky when the world changed. Well that's what our village elders say at least. That combined with having traveled the world alone and with some other people from time to time, has made me understand, that although first impressions are important. It's best to give most people the benefit of the doubt, unless they seem actually hostile."
When he finished his last sentence he smiled for a moment towards Teleron. He then stood up from his chair to address the others.
The observant in the party or those that actually are interested in that sort of thing will notice a holy symbol hanging on top of his breastplate. It is made of iron and in the shape of a leaf, from which a drop of water is falling.
"Like I said before, the name's Arioch the Swift. I consider myself to be a full time adventurer. I was in Averion to relax a bit after my last adventure and to figure out where to go from there. My goals in life are simple really. See the world and enjoy myself in the process. No dreams of piles of gold or finding lost knowledge. Although the first is quite handy to have and the second sounds like a proper adventure."
He sat down again, leaning on his chair and picking up the cards he was dealt and then looked at Tessara. "I know poker, but I'm not familiar with this variant." Which version are we playing, 5 card draw, hold'em, ...? ;)

Tessara - Conjurer |

Gods help me I don't know how to play poker. I actually don't like card games IRL :P I am sort of just...fudging it. We could switch it up and play Caravan (which I barely know how to play) or Pazzak (which I sorta remember how to play). But yeah, I was sorta hoping I could just roll a die and pretend :P
"Nice to meet you all. Going along with Teleron, I don't have many skills that might be useful for ship duties aside from magic, which I can certainly use to keep it clean. So are you thinking we should get food here and now, Hal, or wait? I'd think everyone should have some emergency rations? I sure do."

Arioch the swift |

Oh, didn't need to go in specifics. Just was curious how many cards I had in my hand :p This article might help. I think 2 of the most known variants are 5 card draw and texas hold'em, but I do think that we are all served best with the fact that we "roll a die and pretend", as you stated to simulate the act of playing the game.
"Yeah... Uhm ... I would have some emergency rations if I had thought I'd be up and leaving today. So my vote is for getting some food stuff here. So, who was going to be doing the cooking anyway? If no one wants to, I could do it, but it'd be a learning process, all the cooking I have done up to now was over a campfire in the wild." Read as no ranks in profession(Cook), does have some in Survival ^_^

Freyja* |

Freyja looks questioningly at Teleron as he speaks. Ithriea? I am unfamiliar with your deity. Can you tell us about your faith?
knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
I really am unfamiliar with Ithriea. I do not see it in Pathfinder or Greyhawk. Where does it come from?

Freyja* |

We need to lay on supplies before we can set out for a multi-day trip. It appears we now need a quartermaster. Who will volunteer. I have 220 gold that I can place into the ship's treasury as a loan to get us started. Who else has spare coin? And who will step forward and handle this responsibility? I recommend we lay in extra arrows and crossbow bolts as part of our supplies.
I had thought to take the ship on a spin to learn more about her and then come back to supply up. But we might as well supply up now and head out for our first adventure.

"I would like to be the Quartermaster. Always took good care of my equipment. Don't see it being much different when it's just more in quantity. I also have some spare coin that I'd gladly donate towards food and such." Arioch held up a small pouch with 23 gold pieces in it.

Siri Borealis |

"Alright so Wer Zhaan!" Siri exclaims, making notes in her book beside the map.
She pauses a moment looking out at the sky. Casting Weather Savvy, and then back at her map.
What checks do you want for planning a correct route? Or is it just something we can do automatically?
"Here Freyja, you likely have a better use for this then me." Siri mentions handing Freyja 20 platinum pieces.

Freyja* |

Agreed Arioch. Thank you for stepping up. Please record that the ship owe Siri 200 gold and owes me 220 gold. Get the help you need and lay in what supplies you believe we will need. If you need me I can come along to negotiate for a good price. I can be quite persuasive.

Teleron Haloron |

"The faith of Ithreia teachers that change is an illusion. The seeming chaos of nature is really an intricate web of predictable patterns that the wisest can read. She may test her chosen with blizzards, but the blinding whiteness is only a comforting blanket for those clever enough to prepare for its inevitable arrival."

Arioch the swift |

"Anyone have anything I can use as a ledger and some writing implements? Or should I also put that on the list of things to buy? For that matter, what do we all need? For now I have the following. Enough food for a trip from here to Wer Zhaan and back, a few quivers of arrows and a few sets of crossbow bolts."

Tessara - Conjurer |

"If no one else is willing or able, I have some training as a cook. I also have some gear to donate. And 358 gold as a loan, if needed. But it looks like we've already got that covered, so I'll keep it with me unless you ask for it. I have a blank book you can have, and some writing utensils. But while you're out, could you grab me an Adventurer's Chronicle from the bookstore? I'd like four, one on Arcana, History, Local, and Planes. This should cover the cost." She throws Arioch a pouch of 20 PP.

Teleron Haloron |

"I have nothing I need. I don't require a whole lot, but if you need help with getting supplie in town i am willing to assist, more people means we get the shopping done faster and sailing sooner underway, also i have some stuff to donate I'll move it as soon as we find a storage place."

Xyla Delacroix |

"I can give 750gp if needed just to Make sure we have plenty of everything we might need! I can come alone and we could pack it on Alyi to help get it back to the ship? She wouldnt mind we would just have to get her a treat at the store, *smiles! Im ready to take off for the store whenever, we might need some more leisure stuff and we need to make sure we have enough food for the animals too but its cheap, does Flit require any special food to eat? "

"I could try forging a letter of credit to save us some money. Speaking of which, do we need registration papers for this ship? I have some tools that could help with that."

Masha. |

I have not the exact number but I think Masha have more or less 500 gp to spend. She gives 300 to the party
Here - Masha offers some platinun coins to the group -You surely know better in how to spend it. So, what adventure will we go after first?

Mikal Dusk |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

For the first time since his arrival on the ship, instead of using the shadows Mikal slowly walks up the stairs from the inside of the ship. Allowing himself to be seen in full light for the first time by the rest of the crew. His ninja garb clinging tightly to his wrists, ankles, and neck. A little more loosely over the rest of his body. His feet are clad in ninja toe shoes and his hands have gloves that cover his thumb, pointer, and middle fingers. Leaving his ring and pinky fingers exposed. His mask covers only the bottom half of his face. Conceiling his mouth and nose. As the light touches his hair it turns from dark to a bright orange color, standing about an inch tall in spikes on his head. His eyes shine crystal blue. He wears two Katanas on his back over his right shoulder, a wakazashi on each hip, and a belt containing various small growing weapons and a small bag. He stands with the rest of the crew for the very first time.

Arioch the swift |

Once Tessara has handed Arioch the blank book and writing utensils, he started jotting down whom all was loaning money to the crew for supplies as well as making a list of what he all needed to buy when he got to town.
"Good suggestion Eleanis, maybe some spare healing kits as well, for when the supplies in the first one run out?"
He looked over what he had all written down on his shopping list as needed supplies, he then turned to the group. "Barring any outlandish ideas for further supplies I think we got enough money for this shopping trip between Siri's, Freyja's and my loan to the ship's funds. Don't want to put us in to much debt before we have even started now do we", he said with a wink at the end.
"Captain Freyja, if you would not mind leaving your post this soon, I would really appreciate it if you join me on this trip. I'm not the best at bargaining and maybe you could get a better deal then just a bulk purchase discount for the food and maybe the ammunition."
"I would like it if you and Alyi accompany us as well, Xyla. I might be strong, but I reckon it will be to much for me to carry alone and if we would go over budget, you could lend us some of your money there and then."
Shopping list as of right now : Food for trip from here to Wer Zhaan and back + extras for ensurance, unknown quantity of arrows, unknown quantity of crossbow bolts, Surgeon's Tools, unknown amount of Healer's kits (I'd suggest 1, maybe 2), possibly portable altar (or can this wait till after our first trip?), 4 adventurer's chronicles (already payed for by Tessara)

Shien |

listening to the plan to purchase large quantities of ammo, Shien has an idea.
if you want, you can just pick up the arrow and bolt parts. I can put them together my self to save us some money. Also, if any one is good at alchemy it my serve us better to turn one of the remaining rooms into an alchemy lab/crafting room.
Turning back to the table he introduces himself.
My name is Shien, i am skilled in both ranged and melee combat, and am skilled in the construction of various bows. I have always found myself disappointed with treasure, it never seems to live up to the hype, But i always have fun getting it. I'm looking forward to this new venture with all of you.
i forgot to grab mwk artisans tools for grafting bows, so im going shopping too! if we do just get the components and i have to craft the ammo we'll end up getting 150 cold iron arrows for 5 gp, instead of 50 for 5 gp.

Freyja* |

They cost 250 so they're somewhat pricy. If there is spare gold then sure otherwise maybe we can fund it out of our first score :)
Surgeon's tools only cost 20 gold. Not sure what you are looking at.
Freyja removes the pendant from her neck and formally places it around Hal's neck. I hereby surrender command. She says as she steps back and delivers a crisp salute to the new captain. It appears I am going shopping.

Arioch the swift |

@Shien, Teleron Haloron donated a traveler's anytool and I have one on my person. So no need for specific crafting tools, other than for things like alchemy. Concerning the crafting of alchemy and other items. I think that it would indeed be a good thing to dedicate a room to.
@GM (and to some extent the captains), I have a question about the 2 captain's quarters on top level. Can an off duty captain still get into the room they picked as their "captain's quarters"? It's just that I had provided an off-duty crew quarter for both captains in case they could not enter while off-duty. If those off-duty rooms are unneeded, we would have 1,5 room (Flit still needs a place to sleep ;)) that we could give a new function in the current arrangement.

Tessara - Conjurer |

Tessara looks up from her cards and addresses the party before they leave, "I do have some experience as an alchemist, I might add. I am quite the sage and scientist, now aren't I, hmm? As soon as I can afford it, I seek to expand my library and purchase an alchemy lab. Oh, the knowledge I hold! Hahaha! I really like it when things go boom, in case you hadn't figured that out." Tessara shows a slight hint of madness in her eyes as she laughs somewhat manically.

Unless buying the map bought me the rights the island as well? Assuming the man who made the map was the first to find it, that is."
