Background:

Arioch the Swift is what one would call an opportunistic scoundrel or an adventurer, depending on who you are. He travels around the sky islands flying freely, always on the lookout for fun and adventure. He wears a holy symbol of Gozreh, for it is he who guides the wind under the wings of the Strix and for that he is thankful.

Having listened to the teachings of his village elders, he has some knowledge of how life was before they lived in the sky and quite frankly, he's glad he wasn't around then. The Strix were few in numbers and had to live secluded from most other races, but this changed when they helped others reach for the sky when the tide of slime came to the surface world.
