Are we still round 1?
Yep, and you have already taken two out :p
Just waiting on Kish, but Kaneko only needed a 5' step so may as well roll up an attack on that Goblin if you want... if Kish kills it, you can move at the beggar woman
Noted Hae, but don't worry about rolling something you auto-pass :p
Kishara |
Sorry I'm late! Been really busy the past few days.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8 Boy, that was worth waiting for... You see what happens when I don't get my caffeine? lol >_<
Haemish the Unlucky |
Haemish calls out to the goblins in their own tongue, "You've picked the wrong Pathfinders to ally yourself with, Greenears!" He then kicks Lady in the flanks, "Fass, Lady, fass!", and draws his heavy pick to strike at the cornered goblin. Ride checks already made to "guide with knees" and "fight with a combat trained mount"; Lady bites the goblin in front of her in I3: Bite attack w/flanking: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 2 = 23, Damage if she hits: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2, Free trip attempt if bite hits: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 11; Haemish draws heavy pick as move action and attacks same goblin: Haemish attacks, +4 to this roll if goblin is prone: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 2 = 24, damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Shifty |
Kishara swipes and misses.
Kaneko has a similar effect.
Mandrak decides the party has the Goblin well tied up, and moves on the woman instead, arriving to stand right beside her.
Tikrit manages to be evaded by the overly lucky Goblin.
Haemish manages to make the Goblins luck run out and he and Lady snuff the thing from existence.

Will keep my previous posted action to attack the lady if the goblin went down. Unfortunatley, the dice weren't so good for me, either! Move to F5 (straight line through downed goblin and past Tikrit then diagonal to F5 to avoid AoO =)
GM Shifty |
There is no remaining goblin, you put two out, and the last one just got gutted :p
Yhen steps forward and curses the woman, 1d20 ⇒ 9 who seems unable to resist the curse.
The woman responds by stepping back {F7} and casting at Mandrak who swipes at her 1d20 ⇒ 1 but misses.

Kaneko moves up and stabs at the woman casting at Mandrak with her longspear.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 and 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Kishara |
Kishara moves to attack the woman from the opposite side of Mandrak, drawing her rapier as she leaps into her threat range.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 2 = 15
Attack w/ Rapier: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 = 21 Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 5
GM Shifty |
...and just like that, the fight ends. Kishara seems deeply distraught at the state of her spilt latte and dropped croissant.
The woman is unconscious/dying, and two goblins are asleep
Quickly inspecting her equipment reveals a potion of cure light wounds, scrolls of color spray (2), scrolls of expeditious retreat (2), scroll of mage armor, scrolls of sleep (2); a light crossbow with 10 bolts, and a quarterstaff.
Grimaldus |
"Do we interrogate the woman?" Grimaldus asks as he takes the battleaxe from his belt and finishes the sleeping goblins.
Grim will kill the two goblins. Only a strong intervention from one of the group will save the second one...the first one happening too quickly.
Yhen |
"Hmm these scrolls might be useful," says Yhen as she was stopped by the goblin's head dropping on the floor. "I think we can get some information from the woman. Tie her up so we can talk to her."
Tikrit |
Tikrit skids to a halt just as Kishara puts the woman down. He sheathes his blade and nods enthusiastically at the discovery of the scrolls. "I am able to use the Color Spray scrolls, and the Expeditious Retreat, and if I may be able to keep one of the Expeditious retreat scrolls to add to my spellbook, I would be greatly appreciative." he says. "The woman appeared to have been a mage. Interesting. One of the 'Shadow Lodge' agents." he says.
Yhen |
"Go ahead Tikrit, I only want the scroll of mage armor and sleep."
----------------
"I will let Kishara do the talking, she's an expert on those kind of things." says Yhen as she looks at Kishara.
Kishara |
"Indeed, we can be quite the busy bodies when we want to be, yes? But as far as we know, we're here to see about folk masquerading as Pathfinders. Now if there is something beyond our orders you think we ought to know, now would be a good time to share, don't you think? What are we in the way of that is so important it's worth killing someone before they've had a nice breakfast then, eh?"
Diplomacy(Coax Information): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
I'm starting to sound like a halfling... lol!
Tikrit |
"Not if we get him first!" Tikrit says.
To the others in a whisper. "Do we leave her here? Are there any authorities we can put her in the custody of? I don't feel good about leaving her with any of the characters we've met here. Except maybe that 'Feathers' person." he adds with a wink.
Kishara |
Kishara frowns at the woman. "If you didn't want Pathfinders involved, then it was foolhardy to claim allegiance with the Society. I'm sorry we bothered to bandage your wounds. I say we turn her over to the Duskwardens and get back to business."
Grimaldus |
"Go. I will complete our business here and follow along in a few minutes..." Grimaldus does not particularly enjoy the thought of killing this women; but, he is a trained warrior and knows what must be done to ensure victory. Plus, he reasons, she attacked them intent on murdering them all - therefore her right to life was forfeit under the Old Law. Grim was merely the vessel to carry out her justice.
After the others leave, Grim quickly kills her. No emotion. No remorse. No torture for her, either. He then removes the bandages and arranges the body among the goblins to make it appear she died fighting them...just another random goblin ambush that ended badly for all involved.
GM Shifty |
Fine by me; this is Kaer Maga, and that's the way it goes around here!
Onwards, to the final act of the play!
Before you stands a run-down, wooden facade with the words “Naderi Theater” painted across the top in faded letters. The painting of a young, pretty woman soaked to the bone with water and carrying a tiny dagger in one fist splashes across the front of the theater beneath the sign, though this mural is as faded as the lettering above. The ticket window is boarded up, the walls are covered in graffiti, and the doors are chained
shut and have a sign that reads “Closed for renovation” nailed across them.
Kishara |
Kishara signals to the others that she will scout ahead and slips quietly into the shadows to look for an unblocked entrance, keeping her eyes peeled for hidden dangers.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Yeah, Grim's a good guy to have around. Especially if you want someone dead... We should start calling him "The Reaper"! XD
Grimaldus |
That's me - dirty deeds done dirt cheap! 8D
Grim stands in an out-of-the-way shady corner, watching the street and the building, looking for anything and anyone suspicious or out of the ordinary (and that's saying a lot for Kaer Maga!!)
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
GM Shifty |
The theater appears to be locked, chained, and bolted - securely and tightly locked down. Looking about the rest of Bis you wager that this would not be out of the ordinary in a place where an unattended building might find itself full of squatters or everything stolen (down to the carpet) for use in one of the Balconies.
Mandrak and Kish compare notes, and on close inspection it is revealed that the front door chains are actually just a ruse, and that all the locks and chains are for show.
So its through the front door, or demolish a side entrance really.
Kishara |
"Indeed, we shall." She looks to Tikrit, Yhen and Kaneko. "Make any preparations you need, I expect things may happen quickly once we enter."
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Probably ought to use the Mage Armor scroll before we head in at least.
Grimaldus |
Grim unsheathes his greatsword and flexes his grip. He mutters a soft prayer to the God-Emperor for strength and victory, and then looks at his companions and says, "It's a good day to cause someone else to die for their misguided beliefs!"
Haemish the Unlucky |
Just before heading in, Haemish clears his throat. "Erm, may I have everyone's attention for just a minute? Remember, if someone throws something at you, dodge to the left. Most people are righties and they will throw to your right, so if you dodge left, you should be able to dodge most things ... unless they're a lefty." He uses his danger ward cavalier ability that allows anyone to reroll any Reflex save that you fail in the next minute with a +4 bonus as an immediate action.

Just inside the doors is a small hallway that runs east-west and leads up to thetheater’s dusty balconies. Another set of double doors, just across the hallway from the entrance, is unlocked and leads to the theater’s seating area.
The seats are all covered in white sheets, which are covered in a fine layer of dust. Birds flap around in the rafters, and the fallen remnants of nests can be seen all about the seating area. On the stage is a covered piano and several chairs — the chairs are uncovered, their sheets cast aside, and piles of papers sit nearly around them.
A dashingly well presented fellow stands near the edge of the stage, looking expectantly toward the front doors. Next to him a group of Fire Beetles. When he sees your arrival, he applauds your entrance with a slow clap and says, “Vadoma failed to killed you, I see. I’ll have to take over.”
