I would imagine Jasmine and Litheene would definitely know each other, whether we are friends or not is up to Litheene. I would not have a problem with it and considering Jasmine's background having once been captured and made damane by the Seanchan for a time would give us some common ground.

I am positive we were just about to ask you the same question. What is that bowl? Did the tower send you? Jasmine rarely seems flustered or surprised but seeing Litheene sitting here in the middle of the warehouse on a stool looking at a bowl definitely wasn't expected.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Jasper stares at this new woman with open mistrust. Looking at the others, he says i dont like this. i bet she is a plant. she doesnt have the look of a seanchan, but she could easily be a darkfriend, here to have us.... do whatever for her and then she brings in reinforcements to take us out.
Looking her up and down, jasper demands in a loud whisper who are you? what are you doing here? answer truthfully or pain will be your last thought.

jasper will ready arms of air, instead of using Air he will use pure Fire, if he sees the newcomer do anything that threatens anyone, he will wrap her in it

nothing personal, litheene, just being a paranoid male channeler who doesnt trust anyone from the tower.

Alathea freezes at the sight of the woman in front of her. Her mind races frantically, dashing from thoughts of flight to the urge to defend herself with the Power and back again. They found us! The Seanchan felt Jasmine channel, and they sent a woman to collar us! But she realizes that she recognizes this woman...that she's an Accepted like her. But to see her in this place, rather than in the Tower's libraries, is strange to say the least, and her mind races through all sorts of dangerous possibilities. What is Litheene doing here, of all places? Isn't she Seanchan herself? What if she's turned back to them? What if she's been a spy for them all along?

Alathea shakes her head sharply to quiet her thoughts. To Jasper, she holds up her hands as if to calm him. "I know her, Jasper; she's one of my Sisters. Let us give her a chance to speak before we accuse her of such things, yes?" Hoping that her explanation is sufficient to back him down from a frenzy of distrust, she turns to Litheene. Still unsure about her reasons for being here, she tries to be as neutral as possible. "It's good to see you again, Litheene. We feared that you came here on our account." All truth, that. Let her ask the questions, and by asking, she'll tell us why she's here.

Litheene: as Jasmine has said above, I'll assume that Alathea and Litheene also have at least a passing familiarity. It's up to you to decide how well you know her, though, so react accordingly to how wish it to be, and I'll play along!

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

jasper just grunts. you saying you know her still doesnt prove innocence in actions. But, if you vouch for her, then fine. But, if actions prove her to be false, its on you. he finishes with a finger pointing at her.
Turning, he walks to the end of a stack of crates and glances around, and then catches Rylands eye. hmmmf. its going to take a long time just going through these crates. i say we go to the front and see if there are any inventory sheets with descriptions of items. itll make this go alot faster.

Alathea listens calmly to Jasper and nods as he finishes. "You are right, we must be careful with who we trust. But until she proves otherwise, I will trust Litheene." Light grant that I am not mistaken! She would not return to the Seanchan to be collared again, yes?

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

Litheene sits quietly, fully concentrated on the bowl, trying to feel if any pattern of weaves is present inside it. A cough suddenly brings her back to her surrounding, to find company. Startled, Litheene almost reaches for the source, but quickly regains her composure, remembering she is in seanchan territory and must maintain cover.
I must stay calm and asses the situation

Litheene looks over the group, recognizing Jasmine and Alathea among them.

I'll prefer to play as if we were accuintances on friendly terms, but not already very close, so there is still place for interesting interaction role play. Also, Jasmine and Litheene probably know about each other's experience with the seanchan, as Litheene was known to be escaped damane and would, from her side, be supportive for others

Whisper -> I'm here to recover items of the power for the tower. I was investigating the warehouse under cover, probing for such. Alathea, Jasmine, there are seanchan patrols around, why are you here? you two must either be in dire danger or dire need to wonder the place with armed force. Regarding which I've been meaning to ask - who are those people with you?

Litheene turns to Jasper before he left me, bringing seanchan or dark friends on a group of people whom I wasn't even aware of? trust me, I'm the last one here who wishes to be discovered

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

As he leaves, hearing Litheene's comment, he throws his hand up in a dismissive gesture probably as useless as a tearien wen- he cuts it off in a subtle cough.

Alathea:

Alathea nods to Fiallain and leans in close to Litheene. "It seems that we are here with a similar purpose, then. We seek a certain item of Power: a hinged bracelet of dark stone, wrought to resemble clasped hands when closed. I don't suppose you've come across this, no?" She looks around at her companions, then continues. "Jasmine and I know that we are in danger, which is why we have our companions with us. They are...capable...and should hopefully see us free from capture if things come to that." She will think me as mad as Pace and Jasper when she learns of their ability. Best not to share that just yet. "They can be trusted...even if Jasper does not make a good first impression." She bites her lip in indecision, but finally asks, "Perhaps you would like to join us? Working together, we may perhaps find what you are looking for as well as what we are looking for more quickly, yes?"

Male Saldean Armsman 1/ Wilder 5

Pace stands by quietly while the Aes Sedai get re-acquainted. Another one. He glances at Jasper. And no one I can trust in if they decide I should be corralled. This keeps getting better.

Looking back at the women, Pace begins looking around for an office or manifests hanging on the walls. He is sure to keep within sight of the others as he searches the area. Take 10 on a Perception Check 10 + 13 = 23

Litheene's eyes go distant for a moment before she pulls a small journal from her belt and begins thumbing through the pages. A moment later she looks up with a grin. Actually I have seen it, a few days ago in fact. Turning she moves off into the stacks, eyes scanning the items around herself as if getting her bearings.

After a few minutes and a couple of turnings she comes to a set of shelves. All of the surfaces are covered in various small items; necklaces, rings, statuettes and other trinkets. Looking over them, Litheene gingerly reaches in and pulls out a cloth wrapped ring. Removing the linen she exposes the item you have been searching for.

Made of a dark stone, most likely onyx, the bracelet looks like it could fit over even a large man's wrist. Intricately carved into two hands clasping, a hinge in the back allowed the bracelet to be opened and shut around a wrist, while the hands were designed to click into place to keep the bracelet from falling off. It felt a lot lighter than you would originally expect given the stone it appeared to be made of, weighing more like a gold bracelet.

Litheene hands over the object, looking expectantly at the group. So what are you going to do now? What does it do?

So far there has been no apparent move against the wharehouse. There are a handful of other people roaming the area doing work like Litheene but no other guards inside the building. The ones outside haven't seemed to notice your elicit entry into the building.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

in a joking tone, jasper inquires i dont suppose you found any angreal, or sa'angreal? he finishes with a soft chuckle.

stepping in closer, he murmers to everyone i think we should take 2 more minutes and just grab random things, small items, so as to disguise what we were doing here. Its easy to track one item, especially one that is this distinct. Its harder to track 5, or 10, or more distinct items.

Suiting his own words, he reaches into the open box and pulls out a pearl necklace and small wooden box with intriqete carvings.

Male Andoran Armsman 6

"Jasper's idea has merit. But we need to be quick about it, we got what we came for, so we should really be on our way now. Especially because we may have already alerted the sul'dam."

Jed is urgently trying to get the rest of the group moving. He doesn't want to be around when the darkfriends show up. And he's even more worried about the sul'dam and their chained damane.

Alathea gasps as Litheene reveals the bracelet. Light, I had not expected things to be this easy! With great care, she takes it from Litheene's offering hands and places it into her pouch. Smiling at Litheene, she says, "Our many thanks, Litheene. You have saved us a great deal of trouble." Her smile doesn't last, though, and she returns to serenity as she continues. "Jasper is speaking with a good deal of sense, I think. Have you found any of the items you seek? Those would be a good start to take. I regret that we may have cut your search short, but I do suggest you come with us when we leave--I do not wish these Darkfriends that are following us to find you here alone, yes?"

Litheene: So people are asking you questions that you might not know the answer to yourself. Some info to help guide you. You weren't sent to find anything specific, just to gather items of the Power. Items too large to be taken easily were to be catalogued for future reference and follow up.

Litheene:
So far you have found 2, both of which are on your person. One is a small statue of a seated woman holding a harp across her knees made of ivory. This is an an'greal with a rating of 1 usable by women. The second item is a circular medallion made of copper with an image engraved on the surface of what appears to be a large dog. You are confident it is a ter'angreal but you've yet to discover any of its properties. Feel free to share these facts with the group or not. You know how those pesky Aes Sedai are about secrets. ;-)

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

Actually I did find an Angreal ... Litheene murmurs at Jasper's comment. I also found other interesting items which I'm still investigating

Litheene looks over the group, assessing the situation against the possibility of finding more item of for her research. I'll come along Alathea, thank you. Did the tower send you to retrieve this? I wasn't aware they send others here as well. I've come to recover as much items of the power as I can find, so if we are have to leave, I support the notion of taking as many potential items with us, as we can. However, we must be careful. Items of the power can be dangerous, we should make sure not to activate anything by mistake

Litheene goes over the remaining boxes of items she didn't check yet, looking at small items that will be suitable for carrying hidden, and quickly tries to assess their chance of being infused with the power.
Arcane Knowledge check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14 (oh well, no bonus items I guess. got some loot to begin with anyway).
She then proceeds to wrap whatever looks promising to her in cloth without touching it, and tucking it away.

Litheene doesn't specify or relinquish her precise finding yet, especially before she had the chance to properly study her terangreal, however, as now she is threatened with both seanchan and darkfriends, sharing information with fellow accepted from the tower about an angreal, which might be useful for battle, seems like a good idea.
Especially since Litheene herself prefers not to kill with the power. Also Litheene favors cooperation in pursuit of knowledge. The terangreal however might be too dangerous to trust to others until it is identified

When Litheene agrees to accompany the group, Alathea sighs with relief and smiles. She realizes just how worried she had been that Litheene would not believe in the danger posed by staying behind. Could I have left her behind to face Darkfriends or worse by herself? But could I have stayed with her if the others insisted on leaving her behind? And although she hates to admit it, she still fears that Litheene may not be here for the reasons she's given. ...And if she is with us, she cannot flee to alert the Seanchan or the Darkfriends without us knowing. Pushing down her misgivings, she says instead, "I am glad to have you with us, Litheene," and holds in a smile at Litheene's warning at tampering with potential items of power.

Alathea wastes no time in racing about the warehouse floor and pocketing small items from random locations, focusing on things of unusual make and unique form. If I take things from throughout the floor, perhaps whoever discovers the theft will not find that the bracelet is gone as quickly. After her pouch is full, she returns to her companions. "Although this took far less time than I had imagined it would, we still must leave before the Seanchan or the Darkfriends arrive, and the sooner the better. Is everyone ready?"

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

aye. im ready. we must be gone from this place...preferably before the fire catches us all! Jasper finishes with a big smile on his face!

Getting rolls out of the way and then posting but this is outside the warehouse.

Moving quietly through the warehouse you are able with little trouble to ascend the crates and rope and get back on to the roof. The rope and weaves are still in place making it relatively simple for you to cross back to the opposite roof. Heading down to the street, you can begin to hear shouts as the guards begin rushing into the building, smoke starting to fill the warehouse from Jasper's fire.

Masking your movements amongst the confusion, you are easily able to leave the area. There seems to be no real notice to your movements and you make your way towards the city perimeter hoping to put some distance between yourself and the warehouse.

Moonlight plays across a plaza as you begin to skirt its edges. There’s a fountain at the far end and the sound of lapping water is calm in the night air. Moving forward, a roar suddenly splits the night as Jed whips his head towards an opposite alleyway. Shadowspawn!

Charging flavor text, not literally out of the darkness 3 trollocs appear, wicked looking scythe-like swords brandished before them. Inhuman faces peer out of helmets, bird beaks for mouths, hoofs for feet. Yet more frightening still is the black clad figure coming up behind them, black blade of its sword urging the beastmen onward. Its cloak doesn’t move in the night air, hanging flat and dead at its side. From within its hood, you see its eyeless gaze focusing on all of you.

There were enough Perception checks to beat the Stealth checks that there isn't a surprise round. No one needs to make checks to recognize what the creatures are, they're very recognizable. That being said, anyone who wants to make a Knowledge: Shadow check to get specific details (combat related, etc) may do so as part of their actions.

Please post your Round 1 actions.

Round 1

The trollocs charge into the group of you, blades slashing out at exposed flesh. The myrddraal glides forward, its movements sinuous like a serpent.

T1 charges (to N10) Fiallain, Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 2 = 11, Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3) + 3 = 9
T2 charges (to O12) Alathea, Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 2 = 23, Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 3 = 7
T3 charges (to N13) Jed, Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 2 = 26, Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4) + 3 = 11
The myrddraal simply double moves to N11, drawing its sword as it comes.

Round 1:
Init 16, HP 49/65, AC 22

Note: Might need to change my actions based on what those in initiative order ahead of me do.

Jed, despite being ready for the trollocs, was absolutely not ready for the ferocity of their assault. He takes a rather nasty slice across one of the few areas of his armor where he has exposed flesh, and immediately feels a sharp pain and a warm substance pooling into his armor. Despite the pain, Jed fights on. He steps into a flanking position with Alathea and attempts to return the blow in kind.

Move Action:
5-Foot Step to the right.

Standard Action:
Attack T3: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 (+2 if I can flank with Alathea)
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Jed, currently she will not provide flanking as she doesn't use a weapon generally. Best bet is to keep the flanking bonus separate as you have and we'll adjust accordingly if she draws a weapon. Also, huzzah for getting to use Jasmine's Will bonus. ;-)

All my channelers: Please make sure you account for all the weave slots that were used during the warehouse entry/exit. Should a discprency(ies) arise, I will go back and audit the posts and determine where we're all at if need be. I trust everyone so I'm not expecting any issues with this, I'm more just putting it out there now so that I can avoid any possibility of having to do this as it will slow things down for me.

Overwhelmed by the Myrddraal terror she steps backward to L13, and tries to embrace the source, while reaching her hand into her cloth to hold the women statuette (angreal), without revealing it.

So we've got Turkey Day coming this week. I wanted to just make sure everyone was aware that I will do my best to post over the holidays but obviously things will be sporadic, probably for others as well. I will be updating up until Wednesday afternoon for sure. After that it will be random until the following Monday or so.

As I said, I'm expecting this to be the case for most people but I just wanted people to know that there is no expectation of posts during this time. If you can though then great.

Also Litheene I just wanted to check to make sure you were still around and on board with the game. Just to give you a rough timeframe, your introduction will take place at or near the wharehouse which will probably be in the next (real world) day or so, depending on the posting frequency. (Barring the group deciding on a full frontal assault of the building or some such, which would require a little inventiveness on my part lol.)

Male Andoran Armsman 6

Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I've been swamped at work. Thankfully, the holiday is coming up so I'll have a nice vacation...

Of course, I probably will not be able to post at all starting tomorrow afternoon, since I'll be traveling. After that I am in training for a week during the hours I normally can post. I'm not sure at the moment if I'll be able to post during that week or not... So DMPC me if necessary.

I should be able to post as normal over Thanksgiving. I'll be visiting my family, but unlike the inlaws, they have internet!

DM, i prupose this: since i cannot have Rend yet, i would like to swap it with a weave found in the netbook UtDB called "circle of sounds". It is a common weave.
Let me know what you think? Its found on page 87 in the netbook.

Hi Litheene!

As it looks like you'll be joining us in character soon, I have a question. Namely, do you want Litheene to know Alathea from their time at the White Tower? (I guess that'd go for Jasmine, too, but I'll leave that for her to work out backstory with you if she chooses.) Given your description of Litheene, she spends most of her time in the libraries and such, but there's always the chance of sharing instruction or Alathea bumping into her during a research trip or the like. (Excuses are easy to come by!) So if you want, we could work out a way for them to have met and their relationship hence, or decide that they'd never run into each other before.

I guess I'm curious so I can have Alathea react appropriately when she meets Litheene. Feel free to answer according to how you'd like the meeting to go!

Jasper the weave as written is a bit much for me. A +30 bonus to Perception within the dome is a bit much. I'd be fine for you to take the weave but the bonus would need to drop quite a bit. I'm thinking a +10 would be something I'm fine with. Let me know if you still want to take it.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

i came up with two possibilities:
1) A +15 instead of the +10

2) make it incrimental:

+1 weave level: gain a +15 to perception checks
+2 weave level: gain a +20 to perception checks
+3 weave level: gain a +30 to perception checks

I'm fine with the incremental idea, that sounds good actually. Take the weave as written only with a +10 bonus and add the section about increasing the weave level to increase the bonus.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

alathea,
i just wanted to make sure that i havent offended you personally with my previous comment.
If i have, i do apologize.

DM Jonasty, since some of the weaves are concentration and such can they be moved to new targets with the same casting if they are within range? I know you can't with arms of air because it specifically says "a single item or creature" but I wasnt sure about others of the same type.

ok. i have a question regarding tied off weaves and affects on a person.

i posted earlier that jasper had overchanneled and was able to get a pretty good channeling of circle of sounds, and then tied it off. Since this is a weave that affects the channeler directly, linked to him/her, shouldnt it travel with them?

Jasper Firewyn wrote:

Circle of sounds isn't specific to the channeler, it's like a Ward weave in that it creates a dome in an area. Anyone in the dome benefits from the weave and it is tied to a location where you create it, it's not "centered on you" which is where I think the confusion lies. If the Range of the weave were Personal, then yes you would still have it.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

ahh ok. i got ya. makes alot more sense now...

To all the channelers. Having played the game for a bit now I am making a DM call on splat stuff.

In the Under the Dragon's Banner netbook, I am opening up the option to take the feat progression that allows for embracing saidin/saidar faster. That being said, should any of you want to swap a feat, you may swap ONE feat you have for the first feat in that progression. I don't want to instigate an entire rewrite of your feat selections but you may start the process of taking those feats. Of course you can simply wait until your next feat for leveling if you want or avoid those feats altogether.

So if anyone wants to change, let me know. Please note even if you decide to change that it will not affect this combat. Assume that confronting a myrddraal was motivation for you to learn to do it faster. ;-)

By the by, I love the conversations that touch on Pace and Jasper's relative sanity. I only mention it because I actually do have their Madness scores noted down and they're interesting to say the least. ;-)

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

i was gonna say something, but i caught something else....

in the section found in the initiate class, concerning men who can channel, i read that male channelers get bonus weaves, from 1st level weave to 5th level weave, any weave!!! granted the lost and rares are out...but damn!!!! i totally missed that...need to add me some weaves!

Jasper you've got that section backwards. You don't get new weaves known, you get bonus weaves per day. It's a little bass-ackwards in the text but the part where it compares it to "getting bonus weaves from a high ability score" is how you know. Channelers don't get to know any more weaves for having a high ability score, but they do get to cast more. So that section on male channelers means that when you're high enough level to cast them, you get 1 more weave slot per day at the indicated level. So I believe you can cast up to lvl 3 weaves, so you should add 1 extra slot per day of levels 1, 2 and 3. When you level up to be able to cast lvl 4 weaves, you would get an extra one.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

Male Andoran Armsman 6

There is quite a lot of in-fighting going on this PbP! Out of character here, I think some disagreement and arguing is okay between characters, but we should all be careful not to take it too far. Just remember that in stories, even when there are disagreements, characters usually end up coming to a middle ground.

With that in mind, I see this already starting to happen. I just want to make sure it continues because, frankly, if the fighting continues to happen all the time, I'm not going to enjoy myself.

I hope I'm not putting a sour note over everything, I just want everyone to maybe dial it back a little bit. Hopefully we'll see some good character progression as they learn to work together and change their own ways. Otherwise, I'm having a good time.

Although, I see that channelers are basically going to dominate everything... I had heard that non-channeling classes were basically useless, and I can see that being very true.

Female Domani Wilder 1/Initiate 4/Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah 6 Defense 18 (Touch 18, Flat Footed 10) HP 66 / SV Fort +9, Ref +7, Will +16 / Perception +17

I don't think nonchannelers are useless at all. Those trollocs would have torn us apart if you and Ryland hadn't been beating on them. That assassin would have totally killed me if it hadn't been for you in the room. Granted, channelers are very powerful but we need time to get our weaves together in order to do anything really potent. That first round getting to the source alone can be enough to kill us.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

and personally, while there is alot of argueing, i think that it is working itself out. The way i see it, the animosity between the black tower and white tower is huge, 3,000+ years of it being funneled into myth, legend, and belief; it is a central theme to the series. black and white, yin and yang. Sure there will be alot of hatred, but being forced into situations that require people to work together, boundries lessen and relationships form.

As for the uselessness thing, you have any idea how badly i wish i had a decent attack. 99.9% of the time, i play fighters, but i thought id try out a channeler. kinda wishing i woulda thought of my armsman/blademaster/channeler sooner, or an ogier blademaster. ooooo...im gonna crunch those numbers...an ogier blademaster...nice....

Regarding the RP based animosity, I agree with Jed in general. Some of it is to be expected but at a certain point it can weigh the feel of the game down. I'm not having a problem with it just yet but it will come to a time where I would like to see a little more cohesion. In the same vein, I do agree with Jasper about certain bits. Plus so far it has been slowly happening so hopefully we'll get there without the DM stepping in to say play nice. ;-)

Regarding the non-channeler power level stuff I do agree that they can feel a bit overbearing to others. That being said, some of that is also my learning curve. I'm still figuring out the balance of what I can toss at you guys without overwhelming the casters but still being a challenge for everyone involved. Because despite all their cosmic power, I've managed to get a few of them down to under 5 HP while barely managing to make a dent in my brawlers. It's a balancing act that I'm slowly getting the hang of now that we've had a few combats under our belts.

As for channeller power vs. non-channeller power, I think that after the latest battle things will work out differently. Just because the channellers can and have destroyed city blocks, doesn't mean that that's the best thing to do in the context of the situation. Alathea certainly will be restricting her fireball use in the future, and without the fireball, she's pretty useless in combat. Unless the combat involves male channellers...she's good on the gentling front!

Alathea Sedai wrote:

I mean...uh, no, Alathea is totally not into gentling anyone, especially not anyone whose name begins with a "J" and ends with an "asper"!

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

look forward to the attempt. <See avatar for evil smile>

Male Andoran Armsman 6

I think the frustrating thing in regards to non-channelers (armsmen, at least), is the lack of options. This is actually more of a 3.0 thing as opposed to a WoT thing, probably. My only options, really, are to attack or charge. I'm not saying we're useless, I'm saying we are meatshields to the channelers can wreck havoc :)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to complain about it. I made the decision to go warder because that is what I want to play. It's more about the roleplaying anyway.

And about the arguing in the party. Again, I want to emphasize that it is okay right now. I just want everybody (that includes myself) to make an effort to have their characters grow over time. We just started, so I don't expect to results yet, I just want to make sure it is in the back of everyone's minds.

And, yes, I recognize that the White Tower and Black Tower are opposite sides of the same coin. There is a lot of animosity between them, but that doesn't mean it has to be that way with our group. You can have mistrust without animosity. I'm not asking Jasper to trust Alathea, especially given her leanings toward the Red Shawl. But I am asking Jasper to be a little less vocal about his disdain. Too much in-fighting is what I'm worried about. And that was just one example, I'm not trying to pick on you Jasper.

The more I write, the more I realize I may be coming across as not having fun. I am having a blast! I just want to be sure everyone is working towards trust with their characters, so that eventually we'll be cohesive and working as a good team. We're already making some strides (especially with the linking), so I think we're on track.

m human, Andorian Asha'Man

None taken, jed.

For me, i am playing a 19 yr old kid who is getting his first taste of the world. He is cocky, arogant, annoying, rebels against anyone he percieves as an authority figure... your basic 19 yr old today, he thinks he is god's gift to the world with his head up his butt and refuses to listen to reason. Everyone else is playing characters that are 25+ in age, so they can act mature, wise, smart, and are able to quickly adapt and come together. For jasper, not so much.

I am sure that everyone can agree that when you were 19, you pretty much acted the same way, within reason. i know i did, 12 years ago...ugg.

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

Actually you are not the only one playing a 19 years old, that why Litheenes curiosity sometimes gets the better of her :)

And Alathea - we are not useless without fireballs :). The last battle tough me so. I made a character with the most minimal battle abilities as expected of a damane (knowing to hold or shield someone and nothing else) but turns out this weave (harden air) is pretty useful in combat. Jasper already demonstrated how arms of air can also be of use.

P.S. the meat shield thing is really a problem of 3.0. In the books non channelers had more interesting fights than just charging.

Female Human Seanchan Wilder 2 / Initiate 3 / Aes Sedai 6

This is BTW why I liked playing a monk when going for melee character in regular dnd. Gives you much more spice both in combat and in RP.

Male Saldean Armsman 1/ Wilder 5

When I was 19 I was impulsive, somewhat selfish, and occasionally unaware/unconcerned about others' feelings. Not willfully rude, cruel in a serial killer type way, almost suicidally reckless. I'm enjoying the interplay of distrust between the male and female channelers, and Pace's doubts about Jasper and himself. I am not enjoying corralling a increasingly insane child and plotting how I can kill/gentle him in the safest and most discrete way possible.
