Warder's Bond:
Aging: Like Channeler's the Warder ages slowly.

Compel to Obey: The caster can use the bond to compel the Warder to obey. The order must be issued directly to the Warder and may be resisted with a Will save.

Connection: The Channeler and Warder have a deep connection. They can sense the direction, rough distance, and emotional and physical state of each other. They know when the other is awake, asleep, injured, or in pain. Awareness dims over great distances.

Energy: A Warder and Channeler share life energy and can loan hit points to each other. Loaning hit points reduces the total number of hit points temporarily and does not cause the loaner to become injured. The ability has a range of 300 feet. The number of lent hit points can never exceed the amount of damage the borrower has sustained. Healing the borrower automatically returns the lent hit points to the lender.

Proximity: If the caster wants her Warder nearby, the Warder knows and is drawn the to caster. This can be resisted with a Will save. The Warder receives a +1 bonus for every 100 miles between them to a maximum of +10.

Resistance: The Warder may use the caster's Will and the caster may use the Warder's Fortitude save provided they are within 5 miles of each other.

Death: The death of a Warder or his caster inflicts 1d4 points of damage per level of the deceased to the survivor. Warders whose caster dies typically throw themselves into hopeless battles until death takes them as well.

Skills:
All skills assume I am wearing armor. The swim skill incurs further penalties based on weight I am carrying. Perception and stealth were not class skills as an armsmen, and as such required 2 points to increase by one rank for those levels. Max rank is 10.

Acrobatics: +8 (10 ranks, +2 Dex, -4 armor)
Climb: +7 (8 ranks, +3 Str, -4 armor)
Handle Animal: +1 (1 ranks, +0 Cha)

Appearance:
Jed is a tall (though not as tall as Rand), tan-skinned man with broad shoulders. He has dark brown hair, usually kept to a reasonable length. He is unique in that he wears fairly restricting armor despite his training to be a warder. Most warders where less armor, opting for more freedom of movement, but Jed's training in the Queen's Guard makes him different. He carries a very well made longsword and because he is a southpaw he fights with his left arm, which has thrown a few of his opponents off guard in the past. Though he dresses plainly (most browns to blend in), he does have one interesting bit of color to him. He wears a red sash tied around his left upper arm, a sign that he still supports Queen Morgase (and by extension Elayne) despite her disappearance.

Background:
Backstory:
Jed grew up in Baerlon, leaving for Caemlyn with his mother when he was fifteen years old, just after his father died. In order to help support his mother, he joined the Queen's Guard where he grew to love the Andor as a nation. He is a fervent supporter of Queen Morgase, having served as one of her personal guards for some time. His time in the Guard introduced him to many important people, including Gareth Bryne, Elayne, Gawyn, Galad, and Elaida Sedai. He was even there when Rand al'Thor "infiltrated" the castle walls.

When the Seanchan invaded Falme, volunteers were sent to gather information about the rumors of the strange men. Were they a threat to the Queen and Andor? Jed joined this group of volunteers at the request of Gareth Bryne and in Falme he met Jasmine. He helped her escape the clutches of the Seanchan, but the rest of his team perished. Jed escorted Jasmine back to the White Tower and then left to report his findings. Jed then left the service and returned to the White Tower to train with the Warders.

He was there when the Tower split and despite his loyalties to Andor and the throne, he fought against the Younglings to try and rescue the Amyrlin Seat.

Relationship with Jasmine:
Having spent some time with Jasmine, Jed supports her in full. He has strong feelings for her, but because she is training to be an Aes Sedai, he has not acted upon them. Still, he wishes to protect her, which is why he left the Guard in order to train with the warders. Jed is supportive of Jasmine and rarely disagrees with her, especially not in front of others.

Gawyn and the Younglings:
Jed was extremely uncomfortable during the splitting of the Tower. On one hand, Gawyn led the Younglings to support Elaida and on the other Jasmine fought with the rebels to rescue Siuan Sanche. Jed followed Jasmine, believing her to be morally right and thus he "betrayed" Gawyn and the throne. This still haunts him, as he is unsure whether or not he was right in fighting against Gawyn.

Dragon Reborn:
Jed actually first saw the Dragon Reborn in Caemlyn when he "infiltrated." At the time, Jed thought he was just a boy trying to make moves on Elayne. Jed does not believe the rumors that the Dragon Reborn killed Queen Morgase, partly because he doesn't want to believe she is dead at all. And the fact that the Dragon Reborn wishes to put Elayne on the throne solidifies his support for him. And again, he defers to Jasmine about matters such as this, and Jasmine's support for the Dragon Reborn is enough for Jed to fully support him as well.

Women Who Channel:
Jed is still leery around women who can channel, though he is less so around Jasmine. He is very uncomfortable with the idea of "magic" and is still struggling with the fact that he will be around it for the rest of his life. When Jasmine channels, he doesn't bat an eye. But when Alathea or Fiallain channel (at least, when he knows they channel), he is quite uncomfortable.

Men Who Channel:
First, I should state that Jed will start off not knowing Jak can channel (unless he decides to let it out before we start). Jed is extremely uncomfortable around men who can channel. He is able to mostly conceal is discomfort and considers Pace to be a friend and comrade. However, Jed is extremely cautious around his while he is channeling and is constantly on the lookout for signs of madness. If a conflict ever arises between Alathea and Pace (or later on with Jak, after Jed finds out), Jed would not immediately know who to side with. In the end, he would likely support whoever Jasmine sides with.

This game looks like it'll be awesome!
