Malok steps back and casts Barkskin on Ivar.. Shred moves around into a potential flank with Ivar. He will get one attack.

In a spray of blood Ivar hacks open the chest of the middle dancer, dropping her like a sack of potatoes.

Dino hits also.

The dancer in the back casts a spell, and I need a DC 23 will save from Ivar.

The other two pull daggers and go full defense.

Lalali is up for the end of round 1.

Hindi: You are not quite able to determine what the spell is. However this should be a hint:

you see Ivar's eyes glass over and the lady in back shouts "Kill the wizard!" so he turns towards her to follow the command.

Ivar, you get another will save (DC 23). If you fail it, attack Lalali.

Kill the wizard? Sort of Vague, does Ivar know who the dancer is speaking directly about? Would Ivar know Lalai was an arcanist instead?

The Lady pointed at Lalali. You have to attack her. Honestly the spell allows telepathic communication, so giving you a verbal warning is kind on my part.

I'm coming back in the order when I hear the crazy dancing lady demands that one of his friends kill one of friends. Seeing that funny look on Ivar's face when he turned around, I cast Unbreakable Heart on him.

@Ivar the spell (Command I'm guessing) is suppressed for 5 rounds, if you are commanded to harm an ally again you get a +4 morale bonus on the save and get to roll twice and pick the better one.

The relevant part you care about is

PRD wrote:

PRD Unbreakable Heart

You have 5 rounds to attack the bad guys before my blocker wears off. If the dancing lady orders you again to attack an ally and you get another save, then you would get to roll twice and take the better result for the save.


Ok, That's how I read it. Is there any reason he can't attack the one who cast the spell? After a 5 ft step of course.


You can attack whoever you like. I should have told Hindi before they joined about my rule of 'Core spells only unless you ask', but as I didn't this spell is fine for know. As it is clearly a broken as hell spell, I'm not inclined to allow it in the future. A 1st level spell should not simply negate spells of much higher level.


Freezing for a moment as the dancer towards the rear rakes his brain with her thoughts. Looking murderously from the dancer to Lalali, he thaws as the gnome does something. Stepping forward between the front two dancers, he snarls, "I think not." then swings his greatsword at the dancer who cast the spell.

Lalali decides not to do anything apparently.

The two dancers attack Ivar.

The one in back sprouts wings, a tail, small horns and fangs.

She then tries to fly up and out of reach.

This should prompt an AOO from Ivar.

After that she tries a spell on Hindi.

The two dancers call after her "Mistress!!" but cease attacking.

Looking from the fleeing succubus, to the last two dancers, Ivar gestures towards the fallen dancers, "What were you thinking? I'm not helping bury them, your on your own." Looking at the sun, Ivar asks the others, "Since we not getting a free 'spirit animal reading' shall we press on?"

drbuzzrd, what time of day is it? Just wondering about how soon we should make camp.


Neither dancer is outright dead yet. They are bleeding out.
You might as well make camp here anyway since there's a hut to stay in.

In any case, before you get to the next section, level up.


Assuming that no one else wants to press on, Ivar lifts the bodies, those dead and those dying, and moves them far enough away from the hut that the scavengers will not disturb his sleep. He then goes into the hut laying out his bedroll, getting ready to sleep before his watch.


After an uneventful night, you head on towards your goal, an ancient Azlanti outpost.

After a couple of days of further trekking through the jungle, you come upon it, a walled ruin hidden amidst the jungle.

Give me perception checks.
