Ivar, stops and nods to Barton, "Good idea." he then keeps watch while Barton looks around.

Huh, I didn't see that, I'm glad we waited." Watching Barton attempt to pick the lock, he smiles and nudges Malok lifting his axe, "Or we can try this."

Calling out to his friend "Try it again Barton, no reason to break the pretty lock if we don't need too. We can sell it also it it's whole."

roll it a couple of more times Barton, were not in a hurry. If we can't get it we can break it or carry it with us.

Randy claps Bart on the middoe of the back because he can't reach his shoulder and says "Handsome job there, me matey, but now where to?"


Setting hs greatsword on his shoulder Ivar nods the direction they were traveling, "Seems like we should continue." and begins moving forward, keeping a keen eye out.

As they move he asks "Do you think this Athyra Crinhouse is still around?"

Good job indeed Ivar. Anybody knows or heard of this Athyra Crinhouse? What was the name of that jungle chick before? Guess having this deed makes us the owners untill this person sufaces, but who knows what lies ahead.

Ivar, continuing forward, calls back to Dargorath. 'Didn't she say that she didn't want anything to do with the mine. We are racing against the clock. We can send the deed back to her. But if you want to turn around go ahead. I would just as soon press on."

Wouldn't your LN dwarf have been satisfied with sending the thing with one of our pathfinder friends later?

Seeing Dargorath leave ??? Ivar turns and asks the rest of the party, "Looks like three choices: We go with the idiot, wait for him or press on. I say press on, what do the rest of you want to do?"

I don't know if there will be further expeditions, if the pathfinders would do job and not be eaten by a Grue. Admittedly if someone had a flying familiar to do the job now, like raven messengers, I'd be cool with it. Family is very important you know.


um, we are part of the pathfinder faction, of course they would see that she gets it. Also were in a race against other factions that is why were going through the mine. Wouldn't your pathfinder dwarf feel legally obligated to see to the contract with the pathfinders first? Just sayin'

It's an hour or two sidetrack. If it isn't resolved by then, he'll just call it a well- at least I tried thing and return to the party. Time is time, but some things are worth taking time for.


It won't take an hour to go back. You've taken a while by searching carefully. It might take 15 minutes to find her.

Dargorath turns back and searches for Athyra to pass her the deed before returning to the party.


You find her fairly quickly and she stares at you in an uncomprehending manner as you proffer the paper. She examines it, clearly unable to read. Then she sniffs it, and licks it to see if it tastes good.

"I'm not sure I understand the mission statement and charter of this expedition. I thought we were explorers looking for a lost city of magic and gold, not a charitable society."

Dargorath explains that the title deed means she is the owner of the mine. All she needs to do is to show others the title deed and it means the mine is hers. And that since the mine is hers, if her dinosaurs stay there they are part of her property and people would be committing a crime of property damage should they harm her dinosaurs in the mine.
He also asks her what she remembers of her father.

If she still doesn't get it with regard to Explainations on the deed

"I don't know what we can do about it. Maybe ask some Pathfinder to see to it that she gets the mine and everything is explained properly." Dargorath sighs as he agrees to continue.


"Mine bad place. Not want mine. Father nice man who take care of me. Lost him long ago. "

She clearly doesn't understand much of what you are talking about.

Dargorath slaps his palm against his forehead. "Oh Erastil, what am I supposed to do...her father would have wanted her to have this mine, but...she clearly doesn't want it..."

"Athyra, tell you what, I'll try to get someone to run the mine, and provide you with things you think your dinosaurs would want. What items do you need?" Dargorath asks Athyra.


Because it has not been conveyed that it doesn't matter a whit if she has the mine or not, and the fact that this game says 'Beer and Pretzels' has not deterred pointless roleplay, I will blow characterization to shreds.

She then replies in a refined Taldan accent "Ahh, I see. A wonderfully lucrative opportunity. I must call my broker. " then she whips out her cell phone and makes a call.
