@Rasso: Thanks buddy! When I started out my writing was pretty weak, but the more posts I rack up the stronger it seems to get. It turns out that pbp's have been good for me. I actually had mild dyslexia and the contestant practice has really improved it. It's true that I don't do maps for combat. I have some rules in place for flanking and such, but things like cleave become more powerful. Generally speaking, I prefer to do zone based combat. Also my combats are fewer, but generally they are larger in scope. I find that it works for my cinematic style. I am starting to play around with photoshop thanks to Lucent, and I put up my first map in the Zeitgeist campaign I am running.
I am about to start a combat onboard the R.N.S. Coaltongue. It hindges around sabatours trying to blow up the ship while the nations King and several important ambassadors are onboard. When the combat does start, I will be impressive. Four levels, 210' long, multiple rooms, line of sight between floors, teleportation and summoning all while dealing with a ticking time bomb.

Hrm... Rob, I might need your help. I wanted to use a map for an upcomming event on Zeitgest, but for some reason, I can't access my googledoc. I know why, but for whatever reason I am able to access the current one you have on your googledoc. Would you be willing to set up the map on your account so that I can try running it via placement. This event will be very large and time specific, so I worry that I might not be able to narrate it propperly.

Ooh Razor Coast.. I'm in, Teladon!
Rasso, I may be in for yours as well, I'll have to wait and see until you get it out ;P
As for the Gnoll.. we're still working on her background, but likely she'll be a displaced gnoll from Katapesh - considering I've reworked the Marshal Mythic Trait to describe the flee from Katapesh in the wake of Xotani, thats the one that'll probably fit the best.
For her personality, I have no idea how she'll be, though my friend did mention something about "Singing you the song of her people" followed by lots of barking and howling. XD

Ditto, One of my favorite characters IRL was a dread pirate in a savage tide game set in Eberron. He used a homebrewed magically enhanced flaming burst repeating crossbow that was essentially an assault rifle and switch hitted to a flaming rapier and dagger. It was pretty crazy but he was a lot of fun. Charismatic, ambitious, reckless and dangerous. He married the main npc, whose first name escapes me, primarily so that he could have ties to the noble house, Also he wore a crown. King Zander Tellestarr Vanderborn!
I'd probably tone down the sillier parts, but I'm tempted to head for that pirate captain route in honor of that.

I'm not really sure what I'd make yet.. I'd have to do some thinkin' on that.
Edit Oooh I think I know what I'd go with. In a S&S campaign that fell through, I was going for a Tian Human Gunslinger/Wizard/Eldrich Knight - that would be perfect for your campaign, I think. :D
Shigeru Akamatsu. Would just need to be modified a little bit..

So, the party seems to be thinking about going around the watchful hut and the doll. Will you pass through the menhir on your way around the knoll, or will you cut back into the forest to stay outside of the standing stones entirely.
The distance difference is negligible, a few hundred feet of extra movement going around everything entirely.

Anything we could do to avoid alerting our enemys is a good thing. I know we are all very close to level 3 so I hate losing out on the XP, but perhaps its in our best interest to go around.

I got a chance to take a peak at the ruins of pathfinder page. Looks really good. I'll have to take more time over the weekend to go through it more thoroughly.
I liked the picture of Ar'Zarrcal as well.
As for the vote - Ar'Zarrcal wants to deal with the soul possessed doll. Destroy it if possible, deceive it if not.

Go around entirely.
+1
and the motion carries...Ar'Zarrcal |
No worries Styvanus. Ar'Zarrcal isn't happy about it, but he did start things. He had his reasons (even if he didn't truly understand them) for wanting to free a soul unwillingly bound to the service of a great evil. ;)
Robert, great post! It really conjures up a powerful feeling and image of the scene in my head. I really liked the touch with the spirits at the Menhir, though I wish we could have explored it further, it is equally interesting that we did not.

Ugh... ah guys. I gotta tell you. Now that we have approached the ruins, I think that Teladon might need to revise his opinion. The fact that they are Azlanti in nature would be enought to warrent him to stop. He sees himself as a heir of their ancient culture. Anything that is magical from the Azlanti people has been hoarded by the elves of the Spire... so I am going to have to switch to a yea... any chance we can back track?
@Rob: I peeked at the spoilers, and pre-rolled. Teladon did not have knowledge history, but would have recognize the ruins for what they are? If not then I would ignorantly pass them.

Teladon: Given Teladon's local culture I'd move the "recognize the architecture as Azlanti" to a DC 10 check. Beyond that Teladon wouldn't know anything else outlined in the history section. He may also be unable to tell the difference between Thassilonian and Azlanti, too. It would be enough to make him wary, but he wouldn't have concrete facts unless someone else presented it.

Anything extra for us Thassilonian learned folks? I succeeded with both checks for Knowledge Arcana (the lesser check with the Fey-lines). I know pathfinder did away with things like synergy, but I do also have a +7 in knowledge planes (just didn't think to make the roll as Knowledge Arcana was higher and I figured I had to choose one to make the check with.)
Robert, I added a bit about the Thassilonian's knowing about things like the Obelisk, because I thought I remembered something about them using similiar objects in the last part of Rise of the Runelords, dimensional rifts and connections to the mysterious realm of Leng. Was I mistaken about this?

Considering how close the ruins are to the portal, Teladon is going to suggest checking it out. He might assume that the placement of the portal is no coincidence because it taps into other portals.
Styvanus Rozier |
- HP 25/25
- AC 20( T: 12/ FF:16)
- Fort + 4|Ref + 2|Will + 2
- Init + 2
- Perception +1
If you think it's a good idea/it'd be fruitful I'll have Styvanus order a more thorough search of the ruins/obelisk in search of anything useful to the mission, with Teladon, Ar'z, Fenyx and Talavuc searching while Naasvit and the rest of the group keep watch

Don't mean to leave ya hanging Teladon, will get a response up tonight. Inept contractor + his workers have rendered me without water the past couple of days, but its squared away now.

"My people know of the ley lines, but it is not something I am terribly versed in," Teladon explains as she approaches the discussion of the ancient stones.
Wait, when did Teladon become a female druid? I mean I know he's an elf.. which kind of explains both..

First, Rasso. Now, Teladon. All this gender bending is getting me confused.

Hey guys, I just opened up recruitment for Tellekkan:Colonization a new campaign I'll be starting. I enjoy playing with you guys and I hope some of you will do me the honor of submitting a character. Thanks ahead of time for giving it a look :)

I'll take a gander at the setting and creation guidelines over this weekend. Our weekly group (for which I am no longer the active DM; woo hoo!) just started up Reign of Winter. Going to be interesting to me seeing the differences between the two.

Not meaning to take away attention from Rasso's campaign, but I've also got recruitment opened for Road to Damnation!
On that note, Rasso, now that I've finished the recruitment thread, I can work more on my submission to your campaign. :D

Whenever it's time to move the game forward it can, Rasso and Marc's conversation's not particularly important. I just want to try to start RPing with other people on the team more when we have a little "downtime".
