I actually used these creatures in an encounter not too long ago. And I'm suddenly wishing we had taken the other path, haha! They are forevermore referred to as...

Oh, don't forget I scribed a scroll of mage armor for Rasso.
* updated Fenyx to Sin Magic. Resulted in some spell-swapping due to the banned schools. Fortunately, both were spells I have never cast before, though!

I certainly did forget! Thanks for the reminder, it's on my sheet now. Thanks for the scroll too.
PS:Hope my weirdness doesn't offend anyone either. After I posted my previous comment I was thinking, "Yeah...normal people don't really say stuff like that." If I did offend anyone, I apologize, wasn't intending to.

Sorry about the map not being shared, I fixed it!
Also Rasso it will take a lot to weird me out. I was just telling my girlfriend, over coffee, about a dream I had last night where I found a super Jesus-y operating theater in our basement with a cross-shaped surgery table lined with buckles and straps surrounded by votive candles and paintings of vivisected people.

I'm excited to see how you guys handle six of these trees. Having to inflate the encounters from RoW due to enhanced party size is actually kind of fun.
Now you know how I feel throwing five giants and a few drakes or half a dozen demons at Liette and Co. It's fun to be able to just really give it to the party hard and know that they'll probably all live. Usually.
:P

Maybe I should pick up scribe scroll as a feat. Having additional cleric spells on hand could be useful. Something to consider.
Rob, I was also looking over Wayfinder #7 I believe it was and they had a section about Thassilonian rune weapons. Do you think we might be able to spin a few of those into the options of rune's that can be choosen with the Forgemaster archtype?
They would have to be modified or we could come up with something entirely different, but I would like to reskin or design some additional runes that have a more Thassilonian feel to them. Maybe designed around the Seven Great Sin and/or the Seven Virtues of Rulership?

I thought it was funny, haha

I'll take a look at that issue of WF this week and see what can be done.

Considering I'm playing a demented Dwarven doctor who loves vivisecting people and talking about it over dinner with his nurses, who is keeping his brother's perserved mutated organs in jars and plans to implant them into himself later on, not much can offend me.
Nor gross me out. I'm going to attempt to try and gross myself out in my Road to Damnation campaign, at least in Part 3. I've already mentioned to Rob what I have in store for you guys there..

That sucks. I thought the longspear we gave you was slashing, but its not =/
Haha ah no worries, it's a bit of an oversight on my part when creating him I suppose.
It frees me up to do some aiding another, And he probably wouldn't have hit with that roll anyway, hitting 10 is a little easier.
Besides I like doing some aid another actions with Styv, it's Captain-y, and besides he's far from the biggest damage dealer in the group so he'll do some different things to stay relevant in battles like this!
At some point, I really want Styv to approach Teladon about learning his name. I feel it's something he'd want to know in character. Call him old fashioned. I'm just not certain at what point I'll have him do that, just a heads up!

So I just found this Archetype. It would be possible that a Human could take it via the racial herritage feat. So I think I want to make..

Getting Net and trident at 2nd level would be cool, but wouldn't you miss a swim speed and breathing underwater?

Getting an update to the campaign written, got a lot to catch up on after the weekend.
In the interim, check out the Ruins of Pathfinder wiki
It doesn't have a whole lot of content up yet, still working on it.
Rasso |
Those are pretty cool. I've already got an image picked out for when we level up and I evolve a little differently, but I'm gonna wait for the reveal.

The wiki looks cool.
Can you actually use command undead on a haunt? I'm pretty sure that the only thing that can effect them is positive energy and hide from undead, unless that is a house rule. Aren't they also supposed to wait until we're in their area and then try to surprise us by manifesting in the surprise round?
I mean I guess I can't complaining about seeing it coming, I just think you're being too easy on us according to RAW :P
Though I guess also the trigger for this haunt could be someone walking up to the hut or something.
Marcellano Kain |
Rob, being easy on us?
You do remember the keg of gunpowder, aye? And the meat-fisted guy that nearly killed you? There was also the Kraken in Quest for Arcadia.. and the arcane-infused skele-golems in Ascension that nearly killed us.. not to mention the rockslide in that campaign too..
I.. think Rob has something diabolical planned, I just know it.

The haunt is atypical, in terms of triggering and use. It is continuously active due to its location.
As for the use of command undead I had forgotten that was a house rule of mine. Basically I allowed a player to use command undead to suppress a haunt for the duration of the command. He was a necromancer and posed the question of "wait, so there's nothing a necromancer can do against a haunting?" and I was like "...that's a good point."
It requires identification, though, to properly quell. Haunts have a Perception DC to notice them before they trigger, like spotting a trap.
Fenyx Dagannauth |
We do have a potion of invisibility floating around somewhere I think. If we could get someone close and undetected, I'm going to be a bit presumptuous in thinking that the mirror eye could be broken before whoever's watching through the other side can see anything--correct me if I'm wrong here, by all means. Fenyx will obviously relay relevant information to the party (I'm struggling to get a post up in any characters tonight for some reason, but if any decisions hinge on Fenyx sharing his wealth of knowledge, assume will do so).

Okay, so, the Reign of Winter page is close to up-to-date:
Ruins of Pathfinder: Reign of Winter
I took some liberties making icons for everyone that weren't necessarily their forum icons, because I like using higher-res images and the full body shots of some of your icons aren't entirely in line with your descriptions. I photoshopped/adjusted some to meet tailored expectations, some other instances were pure serendipitous joy.
If you want to join the site to create a character profile for yourself (totally optional) go to wikidot.com and create yourself a user profile, then go to this link and enter the password chainsaws and you'll be authorized to make page edits.
You can go to the PCs tab on the top menu bar and then follow the instructions. If you're curious about how to fill out the fields on the page, feel free to view source on any of the NPCs pages.
Again, totally optional. I'm using this to keep track of continuity stuff in one place rather than across multiple campaigns. If you feel like maintaining your own page (or suggesting new icon art/etc) feel free. Illustrations only, no photos. Trying to keep a consistent aesthetic for representations.

Hm didn't realize that was Snape. I like how Teladon is that one mask from Skyrim, though.
Marcellano.. looks a bit asian.. or is it just me?

Sounds really exciting Crusty, I am looking foward to applying. I wonder how Ali will interact with the Gnoll seeing as how they slaughtered his people..
In other news, Rob has given me his blessing for a Ruins of Pathfinder campaign. It is going to be a tweaked version of Razor Coast It will be set in Arcadia. It will deal with some of the fall out from Skull and Shackles as well as working in some of the resurgance of Snakefolk via Serpent Skull. You might meet a displaced Gnoll that was found in one of the Legacy of Fire AP books as well as fleeing varsians. All in all I expect it to be interesting. I'm still in the work up stage. As a note, characters would be 20 point buy at 5th level.

I'm also nearing recruitment for a new campaign. It's going to be a sandbox colonization game taking place in a new homebrew setting I've been developing. It's got a ripoff of the Worldwound in one part so I can hopefully move my other sandbox game from Golarion into the new setting as well.
It'll be very similar to Quest for Arcadia in premise. I've tried to take a slightly different view on all the core races, while still having some recognizable elements. I'm still finishing up the last of the setting document and it probably needs a few more rounds of editing. Then I need to write up the hook for the intro and I'll be basically done.
Teladon - Of course I will apply to your game, love your writing :) Is it true that you don't do maps for combat? That will strongly influence the kind of character I want to play. Maybe I'll actually try to play a support character :0
