Is anything going to happen, or are we all just going to stand up on this ridge? Rasso's about to go charging down on his own just to get this game moving again. It's too good to just let rust up from inactivity.
Clearly there's no good strategy yet, since we have no idea what's actually down there. We need to get closer and look, probably the best we can do right now is give the barrel of powder to Yvonne, set a six second fuse in it, and have someone stand next to her that can create a spark/fire at will. Then if/when something attacks us, she can get lit, charge forward and explode.
Anyway, WHERE DA POSTS AT?

I'm going to be getting a winded post in soon - I need to go for my morning walk still though.
But as to my silence, I'm really fine with anything - the previous focus on the supernaturalness made poor Marcellano feel left out, as he knows nothing of the stuff.

I think there are two ways to go:
1. The hard way down the steep rocks
2. The easy way down the trail and snow
Someone suggested the third way of walking down after blowing the steep rocks with black powder starting an avalanche.

Good Afternoon my friends,
I am writing you today with some rather unfortunate news. As some of you know I am in the military. Recently a system administrator found that despite me visiting Pazio on my “personal-use” time, due to what was considered “excessive bandwidth” on a “gaming site” I was given a direct order not to access the site from a unit computer. This unfortunately limits my options. I love pbp’s and I love the groups and adventures I interact with. In a way it is a form of escapism for me. However, a direct order is something I can’t scoff at. If I violate it, I would be endangering my advancement (hence a larger paycheck for me and my family). As such I need to take a leave of absence from the pbp forums until I can gain access to a personal computer. This will take some time. Due to the sensitive nature of what I do, I am not at liberty to say when I will post again, but I assure you all I am coming back and I would request that you remain patient with me in the interim. For some campaigns I have spent months and months playing with you all and I have no intention of quitting, but at this present time, I can’t interact with this website. That said, while I would be deeply sad should you wish to remove me from the campaigns, or leave the ones that I run, I would understand. This is a hard thing to swallow, but it cannot be avoided or circumvented.
I will return as strong as ever, perhaps more so because of a need to catch up. For what it’s worth I am sorry; this is out of my hands. I’ll check back when I can, as soon as I can and pop my head in so you all know I have not simply left.

You are presently dealing with a plethora of unfavorable conditions:
1) Heavy Snow: Heavy snow is falling from the sky and it is deep underfoot, costing double to move anywhere in vicinity of the winter portal. Furthermore, the snow obscures all sight beyond 5 feet, including darkvision. Creatures 5 feet away have concealment (attacks by or against them have a 20% miss chance). The only thing you can see clearly is the light from the winter portal, like a beacon in the storm allowing you to know which direction it is in. You can attempt to listen with Perception (as a move action) to discern the presence of anything else in the storm.
2) Strong Wind: All ranged attacks are made at a -2 penalty and all flying creatures suffer a -2 penalty to their Fly checks. Tiny creatures (or smaller) can make no forward progress towards the winter portal without making a DC 10 Strength check or a DC 20 Fly check.
3) Noise: The strong wind is also imposing a -2 penalty on Perception checks.
4) Darkness: A 500-foot cone from the entrance of the winter portal is considered bright light, while everywhere else is considered dim illumination (which would impose a 20% miss chance if the storm was not already imposing such a penalty). Should the snow subside for any length of time, you may or may not become visible to those who can see in the dark, and vice-versa. This will be more impactful once a map has been revealed.

Good Afternoon,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still here, I have just had no time to be able to really post anything this week. I've already clocked in a full work week and it's only Wednesday. I hope to post something soon, but I don't want to promise tomorrow and then not be able to deliver.

Rasso |

You've got some missing links in your recruitment probably want to catch before the hour's up. Liette's profile, also under Where in the Apocolypse it says please visit.

Hey just a heads up guys, I'm having some internet issues, and will have trouble posting until I can secure myself a new router. Won't stop me from posting completely, as I can get on sometimes, but.. yeah.
Sharing the internet with no router means only one person can be plugged in at once, so I have to wait till the other person's asleep so I can get on >.>
*Also*: God damnit another awesome campaign! I'll have to leave that page up even when offline so I can check it out.

I can get on a little bit until I get my new router - but only one person in the household can get online at a time at the moment - and I'm last on the totempole with who gets to be on, as it would be.
Luckily I found myself a new router which *should* be here monday or tuesday. Best Buy doesn't even sell non-wireless routers in their stores.. >.<
I already did my post on Wednesday Rob - I basically DID just snarl at the weather, though.

Ok.. I've tentatively got my old router working, but I'm tip-toeing around in case it goes kaput again. So consider me still-here for now, though if I disappear, you'll know why.
I guess I could always drug the other person in the house to sleep though, so I could get a hold of ze internet should the router die again.
What.. its something Dr. Logem would do..

Ar'Zarrcal |

I can't see the map right now, so I will probably need to wait until tonight before I can post. However I might as well ask my questions now.
How cold is it on the battlefield? How quickly would water freeze?
Are our missile weapons still useless due to the strong winds?

![]() |

There's a -2 penalty to ranged attacks from the wind, that is all. However the snow is more of a problem, providing 50% concealment beyond 5 feet. Furthermore, only Ordrud has made the successful spot checks to notice the enemies at a distance. (Rasso closing the distance, however, will be able to notice the ones he is adjacent to.)
So you'll need to perform a Perception check (a Move action) to try and detect the presence/location of enemies.
It is currently closing in on -20 degrees Fahrenheit this close to the winter portal. Water begins to freeze within seconds of exposure, depending on how shallow/small the water is.

Ordrud |

I'm at a conference until next Friday with minimal internet access. Posts will be few and far between until then.
cheers

Sorry for the slow week, I was just really busy. Everything had been updated, and you'll notice that the storm conditions have briefly subsided, allowing you to see you foes and no longer requiring a miss chance.
Every round that will change.
Also: I added comments to the map that shows elevation levels of enemies. Hovering over a comment should highlight the enemy it is associated with.
Let me know if you can't see them and I'll try to adjust accordingly.

All, I can't be on long. Just want you to know that I'm comming back. I know the timeline is not idea for all of you, but I am greatful for your pacience. Please hold out a little longer. I wish I could give you dates, but I can't. Just hold fast.
-Cel
P.S. If you guys can pass that message onto my other threads you would be doing me a large favor. I can't be online long. Trust me, I'll be back though, I would never abandon you guys.

Just letting you all know you can catch a glimpse of the cover art for my next Pathfinder project at the fans of Paizo Facebook page :)
