Something is afoot in Varisia. There have been a series of odd murders in a small town on the west coast called Sand Point and more recently the capital Magnimar, where even the lord-mayor was a target. A cult of serial murderers called the Skinsaw Men was uncovered and stopped. We have also received reports of more activity along the border.

I would like you to go see the lord-mayor of Magnimar. Assure him the Pathfinder society will do what we can to help him. Investigate these goings on and see if there is a common thread to all this unrest. We have a lot of interests in Varisia and would like to maintain the good graces of the government. I doubt the lord mayor will have you sitting around for long. It is a big place and inevitably something will need attention.

So how does that sound? A mission without a precise goal and with no guarantee of coin. Ha! Are you up for it?

I assume it would be wise to stay in place instead of going in to attack since it's all dusty. I will unsheath my sword and prepare to attack any ogres attempting to leave. Yes to lead blades from your earlier query.

Since I wasn't able to monitor action for a bit I would like to take two more charges off the Enlarge wand for Anaba and Buchart and another Bull's Strength for Buchart just before we start the party we're attending right now! So, 3 of 7 min. left on Alter Self, 5 of 7 min.left on Shield, 2 Min. on Enlarge and 3 min. on Bull's Strength. Sekkim's wolf will be here soon!!!

Can Cela collapse the escape routes so they can't come in behind us? I think we should get moving and find the commander. Let's put Jaagrath/Bucky up front and head into the next area east as Fernleaf suggested, with the cave-in our stealth may be compromised.


Yes - she moves over to the tunnel entrances and in about 1 minute the tunnels are sealed If they are able to dig out it will take hours.

Follow Fernleaf's original call and head east. Fernleaf skulk until he needs inviso, Jaagrath/Bucky up front. Lets hurry as his spell is about to wear off.

The chamber is divided with a iron cell on the far side of the room. The bars run floor to ceiling, but there is a door in the center. Three emaciated human males are inside the cell; two bloody Rangers and a beaten Commander Latamier. A small fire burns in the corner of the room outside of the prison.

Then remove a water skin from my Bag and open it

Gaseous Form potion at hand in bandoleer

Swords are poisoned

Targeted Bomb Admixture is also ready to cast when needed

Then, a sip of Invisibility

I will sneak up invisibly to the fire and pour the contents of the water skin onto in. Attempting to completely extinguish the flame.

Fernleaf moves invisibly and quietly to the fire. The prisoners do not seem to notice and the stand quietly.

Fernleaf feels his entire body (and all his equipment) quiver and he starts transforming...
getting smaller...
his skin starts getting scaly...

his neck starts growing longer and he grows a beak...

his back turns into a shell and he is on the ground on all fours, now a small (pretty helpless) turtle.
