dotting for so much interest

This will be my eventually entrant, poor fellow has been in two Rise of the Runelords that barely made it past the initial fight. Will make the adjustments in the morning, and give you the 10 minute background.

Just checking in, i'm interested in this. I've run the path but never played in it I hope that's ok!
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
Not bad, I'll think of something and get back to you.

I'm new to PF and PbP, but I'd be interested in joining.
Stat 1: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14
Stat 2: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
Stat 3: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
Stat 4: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
Stat 5: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
Stat 6: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15
Though I think I'll try my luck with the 20-point buy.

Any PCGen experts here? I can't seem to get it to give me the Runelords traits as an option to select ... anyone know how to make that work?
Go to Sources> Select Sources. Choose the Advanced tab and select Pathfinder RPG as the game right below it. You should see Rise of the Runelords in the list. Select Rise of the Runelords Player's Guide (Anniversary Edition) and add selected, then click Load.

str: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13
dex: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13
con: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
int: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13
wis: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14
cha: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
looks like point buy for me. Ill be submitting my character as soon as I have a chance to give his class a thought.

This is an AP that I have always wanted to play in. I have a few character concepts that would be fun to play. Let me see what the stat rolls give me to work with and I will put one of the concepts together for your review.
State: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
State: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14
State: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14
State: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10
State: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
State: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13

TheLazyJ |

Would love to join. Rolling now will fill in character soon.
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
That makes a pretty sweet set of stats. As for class am thinking some sort of 6th level spell caster, will figure out which when/as I write the characters background.

I have played the PFS sanctioned portion of books 1 and 5, but no other portion of the AP.
I do like to post several times a day (though over the weekends and during conventions that will most likely slow down).
If selected I will make a forum avatar for the character (I'd also appreciate receiving PFS chronicle sheets if possible). Any feedback is appreciated.

1) Five Essential Things
- Grunyar’s family can trace their lineage to the famous giant slayer, Nargrym Steelhand, who died in 4076 AR.
- His family originally hailed from Janderhoff, but emigrated to western Varisia when Grunyar’s grandfather Akel Nargrymkin decided to set up his own smithy to bring dwarvencrafted goods to a ‘hungry market’.
- All of Grunyar’s family were very proud of their giant-slaying ancestor, and Grunyar especially trained to emulate the deeds of his famous ancestor.
- Grunyar never felt that he measured up to his ancestor’s legacy, and when he was put to the test he failed.
- He has been in a deep depression ever since, and has come to Sandpoint in an attempt to redeem himself by tracking down and killing as many giants as possible.
- It would be epic for Grunyar to face down a giant on his own, and finally redeem himself in his eyes.
- It would be interesting if he somehow discovered that he was adopted. Perhaps his biological family becomes a foe of the party somehow?
- When giants attacked his family Grunyar hid in fear, and is determined to not let that happen again.
- Grunyar does not know that he is in fact adopted, and not related to Nargrym Steelhand at all.
- Perhaps one of his distant kin in Janderhoff learns of Grunyar’s inaction in defending his family from giants and somehow blames him? Potentially going so far as to declare a blood debt?
- A Varisian caravan found him after his family was slain, and one of their number (a priest of Desna) tried her best to heal his physical and spiritual wounds.
- Another woodsman has decided that Grunyar has been poaching from him.
- He remembers sitting on his grandfather’s knee listening to tales of Nargrym Steelhand.
- He remembers trembling uncontrollably as giants slaughtered his family and hoping that they would not discover his hiding place.
- He remembers the priest of Densa’s kindness.

Well, not the best rolls compared to others here, but I'll work with it to the best of my ability. How we doing health?

Is acrobatics(tumble, balance) still a thing? Also would the Derring Do deed apply to athletics?
Which classes get it as a class skill? Any that have at least one of the former skills?
Acrobatics for tumblr and balance is still a thing and yes, any class that gets Climb or Swim gets Athletics

Thank you very much Lynleera! That was a super helpful listing. I'm surprised I'm the only Cleric so far. :)
GM Wasted, I have not yet received a reply to the other game I applied for. It's still active technically, but if you would like me to commit to this game I'll see what I can do. I'd love to help out as a Party Healer and Buffer.

While I am certainly inclined to select a divine caster, there's still five days for people to apply. I'd hate to ask you to focus here and then not select you for whatever reason.

That's 9 point buy, so I guess I will bow out before I even begin! :P It was worth a shot, but unfortunately I am not interested in playing 20 point buy when there is a good chance another player will have 30+ point buy from their rolls. Have fun guys and good luck!

Oh, certainly! That is very thoughtful of you. I will just keep an eye on things and see how selection goes then. I hope more Clerics apply at least, so everyone else is likely to have one in the final party. I have noticed that Pathfinder has become expansive enough that other classes can replace the need for Clerics. They are still one of my favorite classes though. They're really fun!

Selaros Teskarova |

I was thinking on a druid before I started to really study the vigilante class, but I also applied one for another game so if she gets chosen I might change class and fit my background to reflect that if GM Wasted doesn't mind that. :)
Mostly my backgrounds are tied to the person not the class anyway so it's just a little bit of work, but when I enjoy it is it then work :p

Raven Zarelli |

Clerics have always been a great class. What I appreciate about Pathfinder is that it has significantly leveled the playing field as far as non-full casters go. I mean, fighters don't suck. That's crazy
I love fighter-type classes, but I'm not very good at playing them. I've tried a few times in PFS. Casters seem to be much easier for me for some reason. Support Casters that is; I've never played a Blaster or anything like that. My favorite part is when everyone works together! Sometimes I think it's weird that I never swing my weapons on certain characters, but my friends say healing and buffs really help too. That makes me happy at least.
Oh, I'm sorry if I talk too much! It's just really fun to make friends and stuff.

GM Wasted |

Honestly I think Blasters are inefficient at best. Unchained monk or straight fighter has more reliable damage. Wizards (and other full casters) shine the most, to me, when they use spells to shape the battlefield/world around them and ensure victory by helping their allies or hindering their foes rather than just raining fire from the sky
