Well I missed killing the swashbuckler by 4pts with a Slay Living (gypsosphinxes are fun!) and the Dragon Disciple's fire breath and the sphinx's Pounce almost killed the gunslinger. Huge earth elementals nearly got the witch! But there's always next session.

Anyway, for example, look at Guiness:

3062.47 gp
- 75 gp for 3 CLW potions picked up along the way
- 150 gp for 1 CMW potion also picked up along the way
- 85 gp for a masterwork heavy shield looted
- 500 gp for 5 rewards for saving his life to the other PC's
-2000 gp to get his hammer "awakened" to +1 magic

gives 252.47 gp left over.

Of course, if everyone wants cash, we could miss out on some items, but we could give it a whirl and see if this method works well for us...

Subtract 20 gp for Ripnugget's Crown on display at the Rusty Dragon, and Guiness is good!

@Rig, reading through the posts it seems that the medium sized cloak of resistance is not yet claimed. Colvyn has mentioned taking the smaller one, but nothing definitive yet. there is also the neck slot item that gives a +1 to saves and lets you cast false life 1x/day no one has claimed.

@Rig: You'd have to sell the +1 bastard sword and buy a +1 longsword at full price.

RotRL is pretty generous with its loot, generally to the extent that it tosses plenty of stuff at you that it assumes you'll only get 50% value from. If you *can* make use of it, then that's just gravy. Some other APs are much more stingy, in which case I'd consider allowing PCs to make "even" trades to switch to a different type of weapon.

He was one of the first magic-users I made using the red (and later blue, teal and black) box D&D rules set. His name is take from the early evil iconic wizard stated out in the back of the The Shady Dragon Inn supplement (a great source of fantasy sounding names and random NPCs to this day) who got his own action figure and later got a guest spot in an episode of the Dungeon's & Dragons cartoon.

The main inspiration for his character though comes from Raistlin Majere as presented in Tracy Hickman and Margaret Wies's Dragonlance novels. Instead of having a big, lummox of a twin brother like Caramon, Kellek's brother (Sterk Zaderan) is older, stoic, and based more upon lance hero Sturm Brightblade (and is obviously their dad's favorite son).

Fair warning: should Kellek's attitude toward life not improve by campaign's end expect him to try and wrest the Runelords' power and magic for himself. (It's sort of his goal even now.) At that point, I probably hand him to the GM to serve as the primary antagonist for next campaign. ;)

Nice. Rory is actually an orphan who grew up at the Tiger Eye Monastery and flunked out as a cleric and a monk, but became a sorcerer with an otherworldy patron and acts like a monk with crazy Qi powers. All his sorcerer spells have "monk power sounding" names and he takes "bluff" and "perform/kata".

I can't actually find in my notes... was I able to get a +1 longsword? For the ghoul attack, I just assumed I have a regular one at the moment, but if I can add +1 to attack and damage, I gladly will

Totally understand. Guiness is waiting to see if others have something to say in response to Habe, or you to get back too. He is definitely not going to lie for this guy to protect his business, that is for sure.
