@Ered: You're sorting yourself 3pts damage (Crits multiply everything except precision damage, so your STR bonus is doubled, too). Everything else looks good. EDIT: technically you only used Spellstrike. Spell Combat's a full-round action (so not during a surprise round) and would give you an additional attack.

The ambush is brutally effective, and nobody escapes unscathed. The only uninjured guard is staggered by Vashti's touch, and Eredhaias straight-up decapitates his opponent.

The woman in the middle of the unit raises a carving of a leaf and radiates positive energy. All of her allies (except for Eredhaias' victim) heal most of their injuries, and they press forward and attack! Unfortunately, the shock of the unexpected assault leaves them slow to react, and the majority of their blows miss. The Captain, however, is made of sterner stuff. Even though he seems extremely susceptible to magical assault (thanks to Zes), he still manages to flank with one of his allies and strike Silence a solid blow with his longsword (take 11pts damage).
