Why not both! Percy is now grinning and starting the spread-arm bouncing that earned her first Mommy nick-name "little bird". That way we reduce the guard's number, maybe find a captain, and get to be battle ready when we go in the fort! Good idea, mommy! Now I just need to remember where I put that dress...
"That sounds like a great idea gorgeous. Let me know if you need help with that." Hobbes grins.
Vashti Amela
Wait, what!??! Dress? You mean I'm really gonna have to dress like a mattress back and flirt my way in??? It surely is a foolish idea! I though wiwfk,,,..
Comes to a sputtering halt as she starts blushing red.
Percy Silvershaper
Nonsence, Mother! Perish the thought! Percy scolds with a smile. I'm going to dress like a mattress back and flirt my way in! And maybe Allie. We'll see if the Rider thought to summon her spare outfits along with her.
Percy winks playfully at Hobbes and swings her backpack around. She releases the ties on the top and starts to dig. Every once in a while the effort makes her hiss as clothes and knick-knacks come into contact with her arm's more sensitive spots.
Vashti Amela
Reaches down and grabs snow in each hand and applies to temples.
Little bird, as beautiful as you and Allie are, aside from Hobbes, have you seen any shorter people? Unless you wish to become prettier for Hobbes, you may find a limited...client base...here...
Percy Silvershaper
Percy frowns. True. What if we say we're dancers? Dressed as mattresses? It might help to know just how lonely it gets out here...
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
"I'm okay with that last part."
Percy Silvershaper
Percy flicks a fleck of snow from her pack at Hobbes.
Lyosha Neverhome
Pinching the ridge of his nose Neverhome simply mutters. "I just stab people."
'Silence'
He sighed and shook his head. "So the plan now, is to find a wandering patrol, ambush them sneak in as merchants and guards and matress backs?
He said raising an eyebrow. He wasnt entirelysure what a matress back was but it didnt sound honorable at all. They were right about one thing though. He hadnt seen many of the smaller folk about here. He still needed a way to disguise his features as well.
What about Sigrun? could she matress back? this all seems more complicated than leading a small force into a baited ambush and felling them in battle. It sounds like you need a force of dishonorble ninja about not me.
He added sounding...well for a lack of a better term frumpy and saddened.
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
Hobbes just grins back at Percy.
Vashti Amela
Smiling widely at the mental image of bright spot and little bird dressed as sacks, attempting to be seductive and coy.
Dancers, perhaps, mattresses, no. If this place is anything like my little village was, before last winter anyway, they should be quite lonely. Even if there is an entertainer in Naydas town, they should be dying for new blood and fresh faces to warm up with.
Lyosha Neverhome
As everyone's tangent and his inner thoughts start to intermix he annoyingly blurts out "You have to buy her a dinner first Silence."
Percy Silvershaper
The plan as I understand it, then! We find or follow a patrol, challenge them to honorable battle, slaughter them, then sneak in as merchants and dancers, possibly with a guard escort that "found" us in the course of their duties.
Sounds good to me!
Lyosha Neverhome
"If 'challenge them to honorable battle' means set up ambush, then da."
Vashti Amela

Sweet, innocent, Silence. A mattress back is a term for some one that is very free with their affections or is paid for them, on a mattress.
Yes, Lyosha, dinner is a customary means to find out if your partner is interested in more intimate things. But not required for paid companions.
Pats the two on their shoulders, shaking her head and smiling at their inexperience.
'Silence'
He scratched his head and scowled at Neverhome, Again he was being full of tricks. He did look a bit embaressed, mostly at the suggestion the battlemaiden would be a paid companion.
Uh.. thats.. well. He said wrinkling his nose and lashing his tail.
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
Heh. This has taken a hilarious turn.
Eredhaias Malynneil
Hilarious and awkward.
Ered just nods at Silence, shrugging his shoulders.
"Sometimes we must play the game to get the necessary result. There are many things unkind about this world, and many things unfair, but we do need a few to temper our more...tempermental companions?" the elf adds the last part very cautiously, unsure of the precise words needed for this situation.
Zsestrian Raven
Zses massages his temples as the others go on. Taking a deep breath, he address the others, trying to avoid to offend anyone "Aren't we taking this a little too far? I mean, not to criticize, but I don't think that's likely that a group of dancers would be traveling here-".
"He means that you aren't exactly his type, so he would prefer not to see you half-nake-" Crow interrupts Zses, grinning widely. Or at least he would, if he had teeth in the first place, or if Zses wasn't trying to catch him, running after him while spewing curses in a thickly accented Varisian.
"What I meant to say" he starts again, Crow watching him perched on a nearby tall tree "is that you're missing the fact of who we are dealing with. If these witches are as malevolent as you say, if they're so evil to turn a little child in a doll for futile reasons, they won't take kindly to travelers. Now, I mostly agree with your idea: half of us could disguise as guards, and the rest as merchants. Only, we'll pretend to have caught them while they where around here, saying that they looked suspicious. I think it would sound more believable than 'Hey these guys seems cool, so we thought to let them in'." he concludes, still embarrassed from what happened a minute before.
When no one's paying attention, Crow slips back on Zses' shoulder. "So, none of them yours type?" the bird whispers.
"No. Too short, too brawny, too old. Heck, Vashti could be my grandmother!" the witch whispers back.
Sigrun Jagrsdottir
"These witches still have armies to serve them. Armies of men and women who can become quite lonely in the frozen wastes. A lost group of travellers and traders, with goods and....services that soldiers enjoy would be well recieved. And out here. Their size may not be as much of a deterrent as you think Vashti." Sigrun says with a smile. "You may also want to consider that there are many who will seek your...attenions as well."
Lyosha Neverhome
"Da, in former tribe you would make well respected and sought after Den Mother."
Percy Silvershaper
Percy is now slightly confused. The plan was in too much flux. Was she going to play dress-up or no? She stops digging and waits for people to agree.
This group needs a leader... she realizes. So much chaos in command can be fun, but it is not good for a group this large...
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
"So if we're gonna play identity theft, we should find a place to watch for a patrol to ambush. And now, guys and goils."
Sigrun Jagrsdottir
"We should go with the idea that we are...entertainment, accompanied by our guards. This should at least lower thier guard."
'Silence'
and back now to the baited ambush I suggested already?"
The feline said his voice only slightly rising higher in frustration. He didnt think this was a good idea, too many variables too many things to go wrong, but he was not from these lands, he had to trust the others knew what they were talking about.
One could assume they get supplies from the town of that poor woman yes yes? I would imagine somewhere around that point my be a good place to hide... though i feel for the poor horses, its easier to stay warm on the move.
Lyosha Neverhome
"So we lie in wait or hunt them down? Either way we have advantage, servants of the Winter Witchea believe themselves to be Apex Predators, comes as pretty big suprise when someone challenges them."
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
"We go lookin' fer them."
Lyosha Neverhome
Ah, trying to appoint the decision maker. The undoing of every party I've ever been in.
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
If I thought it would work, I'd try to appoint myself as leader. But I know better.
Lyosha Neverhome
lol what's bad is you'd probably do a good job, Neverhome would just veto it out of principle. My top picks are Sigrun and Vashti.
Sigrun Jagrsdottir
I say Vashti until combat starts, Sigrun once the $#!+ hits the fan. Silence would be good except a lawful person directing this group would be ironically like herding cats
Lyosha Neverhome
Mission Commander and Battle Commander. Seems good to me.
'Silence'
Hey in my defense. I do beleive I kept things moving safely until the merge, but No one wants to trust a cat to make all their decisions.... *shrugs* hehe but no worries :)
Lyosha Neverhome

The cat part is fine, it can stay. It's the lawful part that doesn't mesh well with the group :3
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
You could retrain to become a dishonorable kitty ninja.
Lyosha Neverhome
Zsestrian Raven
"Yeah, let's first ambush them in the woods. Then we'll decide who's going to be disguised as who."
I agree with appointing Sigrun and Vashti as the leaders, too.
Percy Silvershaper
In that case I'm keeping my armor on for now. Percy announces. She swings her lack back into place and takes her seat on the Slaygon. Let's get a move on then. Those men won't kill themselves... Crap. We need the uniforms intact, don't we. Which means we can't just bathe them in fire. Right? She looks around for someone, anyone, to debunk her realization.
Lyosha Neverhome
Neverhome simply shrugs, "We could always test and find out."
Percy Silvershaper
Hey! Let me ride on your shoulders! That way I won't have to aim up! Percy starts bouncing again at the thought.
Lyosha Neverhome
Neverhome simply shrugs again and lowers himself to one knee.
Percy Silvershaper
Percy mounts up on the young man's shoulders with a squeal of glee and hooks her feet into his armpits for balance. Get up on Red, Sis! There's no way this could possibly go horribly wrong!
Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf
Hobbes just smiles and shakes his head as the party walks along.
