Percy glares at the "crow". Right now wasn't the best time to bring up her suspicions about the thing that looked like a crow excepting that it had forgotten its own language, but the time would come. It might even end in a delicious meal.

She quickly finishes her search and is ready to move out. (Hopefully she'll find a map that can help us. )


No maps are available, but Sigrun's keen eyes can make out faint lights from a distant village. It's miles away, but there seems to be no other signs of life in the area. With no visible alternatives, you begin to slowly make your way towards the lights. After several hours, you begin to hear sounds of combat. As you crest the next hill, you see two enormous Praying Mantises harassing a group of travelers.

I'll put up a map once I see what everyone's going to do. For now, assume they're 100ft away. Snow counts as difficult terrain. No need for initiatives at this point, as you're not currently in combat. Also, I need to know how you're going to deal with the Slaygon. Familiars and Animal Companions are covered by endure elements, but there's no such protection for Charger, Juicyfruit, Pineapple, etc.

I don't know about the Slaygon :/. Isn't there a way to buff up their saves against cold climates? It's really handy both for lot transport and movent. Plus, it has an awesome name. :3

And I don't think they're smart enough that I can scare them off with an illusion... They would probably be all like 'Oh, a giant dragon. The Slaygon:
Our crazy group of intrepid adventurers came acoss the wooden chest and I thought it was neat so we kept it, the problem was it was hard to move, when we got back to town we sold it, got loots and took over for the bad sentinals and became the real good sentinals. They had a lot of horses which we decided were ours now. So now we had all these horses, so i thought a wagon would be appropriate. Since we had all this crazy winter issue we found one that was very sleigh like, so we have a sleigh/wagon... or a slaygon. Its the awesome form of travel for those who are vertically challenged.

YBD:
I have plans for modifying the Slaygon to perhaps provide help for the horsies, until i can perhaps find winter appropriate animals instead. Would Mule being able to drag the Slaygon solo temporarily?

Attacking from say atop the slaygon counts as being on higher ground, and it also provides cover.

BAH! more of those bad giant insects! He began gripping his naginata and kicked his loyal friend Mule forward!
