'Silence' |

With a feral feline growl the samurai will bend over low and then jump up as high as he can and slash at the smaller of the two figures (sprite?) with his sword. He knew he should have grabbed the naginata!
acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (20) + 2 - 3 = 19
So thats a high jump of 2.75 feet up
He slashed at the creature as as he closed hoping to strike it good!
jumping slash attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
FRIEND NEVERHOME.... GET UP ON MY SHOULDERS SO YOUR TALLER!
He yelled again entirely too loud.

Everyone's close enough together that I don't need separate spoilers for the moment.
The swirling snow continues to make it difficult to target your flying foes. Neverhome annihilates the eagle (which vanishes when struck), but every other attack is ineffectual. Even Silence's valiant leap falls short (you needed another 2.25ft).
The larger creature (which passed its saving throw) flies close enough to give Hobbes a minor scratch (take 2pts damage). The smaller creature, meanwhile, fires a slingstone as Zes (take 5pts damage and a Fort Save DC 13 to avoid being staggered for 1rd).
New Round
Your turns
The larger flier is still airborne but finally dropped low enough for everyone to attack it with a non-reach weapon.

Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf |

Hobbes steps back from the large creature and fires his bow again.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
1d6 ⇒ 5

Zsestrian Raven |

Fortitude DC 13: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
"Ugh!" Zses will fall to his knees, coughing blood on the snow.
No...It can't end like this...
In a desperate fit, he will clutch on Silence's shadow, projected by the Dancing Lights, and starts chanting in an elaborate symphony of whispers.
"प्रतिच्छाया बलिन् शूर भवदीय प्रभु रिक्थग्राह भवदीय स्त्रीमत्..."
Start casting Enlarge Person, will be done in next turn.
"I'll help you get up there Silence, just give me ten seconds!" he will say, interrupting for a moment his chant, and then he will resume expanding Silence's shadow.

Lyosha Neverhome |

"Finally!" There is almost a tint of glee and satisfaction in Neverhome's voice as he charges the large creature harrying Hobbes.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Cold Iron Damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3) + 3 = 9

'Silence' |

D'oh
He almost leapt for the sprite again, but his first jump.. He just didnt think he had the strength to jump high enough to get the damnable little thing. So like friend neverhome he spun and moved to the one he could reach slashing at it with his katana.
attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 add + 2 if its possible to flank?
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Your Benevolent Dictator |

Neverhome scores a solid hit on the creature, but it's not as effective as anticipated. Silence connects too, but his weapon bounces off harmlessly. The creature glares at Neverhome and breathes a cone of freezing air and icicles at him (take 1d4 ⇒ 4pts cold damage. Reflex DC 13 for half - and also avoids being sickened for 3rds).
New Round
Your turns
Larger enemy: 4pts damage

Lyosha Neverhome |

Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Fooie, 2dmg and sickened.
HP: 24/30
Having gotten used to the warmth of the cloak the sudden magical coldness of the attack catches Neverhome off guard, going from warm to chilled makes his stomach instantly turn on itself. He swings his sword at the creature's stomach in an attempt to return the feeling.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 2 = 18
Damage: 2d6 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 3 - 2 = 13

Zsestrian Raven |

"परिणिहन्ति मार"
As soon as Zses finishes his incantation, Silence will grow the same size as his now expanded shadow.
Silence, you get a +2 to Strenght, -2 to Dexterity, a -1 to AC and attack rolls, you're katana should be doing 2d6 damage now and I hope now you're tall enough to hit that pesky sprite. <.<

Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf |

Hobbes fires another arrow!
1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 6 - 4 = 22
Confirmed??: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 6 - 4 = 17
1d6 ⇒ 4
Maybe?: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6

'Silence' |

The sudden increase in size took him a bit off guard. It had to be some form of witchery the way he grew and it had to be that larger shape that just blasted friend neverhome with magic. With a much louder and more vigourous roar of determination He slashes at the problematic magic using shape again!
slash attack when super large!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1) + 4 = 10
once again add a plus 2 for a flank if that is possible if not no worries.

Your Benevolent Dictator |

1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Neverhome and Hobbes work together to bring down the larger of the two enemies. When it hits the ground, you see that it's an Ice Mephit. Silence grows huge and swings at the smaller enemy, but the sudden size increase throws off his aim. The tiny fey (you can see now that it's actually an Atomie) reaches out a hand and touches Silence, chilling him to the bone (take 6pts cold damage).
New Round

"And now for another corpse." saying with a growl as he surrounds the creature with Mega-Neko Mode Silence and attempting to put it down.

Now much larger and still very confused by that the feline samurai held no hesistation in turning to the tiny pest and swinging his katana in a wicked slash
katana attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 5) + 3 = 9

Your Benevolent Dictator |

The combined attacks from Hobbes and Silence deal enough damage to force the creature down - where Neverhome decapitates it. The snow continues to swirl around, obscuring all vision. Nontheless, the more perceptive members of the party can sense that something's still out there. Something big.... After a moment, all of you begin to hear the sounds of pitched battle coming from deeper into the snowstorm.
Combat's over for the moment, but keep posting in rounds.

'Silence' |

[ooc well cept me since im deaf, but um... when you say deeper deeper as in by igloos? deeper as in by the slaygon, deeper as in a 3rd direction? [/ooc]

Lyosha Neverhome |

Not seeing any enemies in the immediate vicinity and without his hearing Neverhome will simply move over to the group and take hold of the rope tieing then together.

Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf |

Hobbes will follow suite back to the Slaygon.

Zsestrian Raven |

Hearing the sound of battle coming from deeper in the snowstorm, Zses will hold on the rope and point to where the sound is coming from."Guys, shall we go? The spell I cast on Silence should last maybe a minute and half from now and..." he will start, only to interrupt himself a few seconds after, when he remembers that he was deeply injured on the battle before. "Uh, right, almost forgot. Maybe we should patch ourselves up before charging in."
"How can you forget that you're almost bleeding to death?" Crow will say as he lands on Zses shoulder.

Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf |

Zses: 3d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 5, 6) + 3 = 17
Hobbes: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (2, 8) + 2 = 12
Hobbes will heal the man-witch and himself. "Good idea."

'Silence' |

DO YOU THINK THAT THERE ARE OTHERS ABOUT? I CANT HEAR OR SEE ANYTHING! He yelled loudly to the others adjusting his grip on his katana. He peared into the nothingness trying to make some sense of things.

Zsestrian Raven |

Zses will nod vigorously to Silence and point again to the direction where the sounds of ongoing battle came from.

Lyosha Neverhome |

Neverhome is completely oblivious as the others talk amongst him, keeping one hand in his sword and the other on the rope.

Zsestrian Raven |

Zses will take a deep breath, and then he start moving deeper in the snowstorm, urging his deaf companions to follow.

Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf |

Hobbes walks into the obvious ambush as well. "Oh, we're all gonna die.." He mutters to no one.

'Silence' |

Silence wasnt quite sure what was going on after all, at the moment all he could hear was a serious ringing buzz sound in his ears from the earlier noise attack. He hoped the situation was temporary. He slogged through the storm much easier in his super large form however his rally big katana in his hands.
Just surrender now and stop the evil storm bad guys yes yes... and we let you live!" He called out loudly.

Your Benevolent Dictator |

Keep on going, everyone. :-) I have a map up under my profile name as usual. You're unaware of everything from the spoiler box onwards, so ignore Group One's avatars for now. If you decide to enter one of the blocked-off areas, roll 1d100 and indicate high/low. *evil GM grin* Also, we're back in combat rounds.
The lucky few of you who managed to retain your hearing find the battle sounds are growing louder. It almost sounds like there are TWO combats taking place....
Oh yeah, Silence has 5 rounds left of being Large.

Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf |

It says I need permission.
"Who in the inferno is here?" Hobbes says while he keeps moving.

Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf |

Hobbes will walk into the fog.
High is good: 1d100 ⇒ 9 Gulp.

Lyosha Neverhome |

Still without his hearing Beverhome will try his best to stay on guard as he holds onto the rope binding the group together.

'Silence' |

Feeling invincible from the size of his sword, The feline marches forward following the halfling's rope. He keeps a wary eye especially in the air, since it seems those stupid snow sprites seemed to favor hiding in the sky.
high is good too!: 1d100 ⇒ 47

Zsestrian Raven |

Zses will follow after the halfling, clutching the rope tightly.
High is Good, too (Zses): 1d100 ⇒ 42
High is Good, too (Crow): 1d100 ⇒ 29

Zsestrian Raven |

Oh right, I forgot!
As he moves, Zses will summon again the four greyish orbs. They will hover over the party, giving a warm, orange light.

As you move closer to the source of the blizzard, a Silence-sized spear misses Hobbes by approximately a milimeter (missed his FF AC by 1!). Craning your eyes toward the source, you can barely make out a large shape through the snow. It's difficult to tell for sure, but it might be some kind of Troll. Those of you with working ears now realize that there are two other battles taking place nearby.
Round One
Your turns
Map's under my profile. Be advised that the creature has a reach weapon. If you're more than 5ft away, he has concealment (50% miss chance) due to the snow. Don't forget to roll that when necessary.

'Silence' |

I guess its safe to assume he can see more than 5 ft away eh?
With an angry feral growl the samurai feline looks for the spear that came flying their way, with the intent to recover it and give it back to the troll pointy end first!
is the spear nearby? Its a move action to pick up a weapon right? is it within non movement reach? I know a lot of questions >^.^<

Lyosha Neverhome |

Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Neverhome will move around his allies to engage the troll, his loss of hearing giving him an instilled sense of calm and focus as his rage bubbles forth from the inside, as his last vestiges of humanity wane he let's out a chant to warn his allies.
"Don't call my name in battle — it's not wise.
Do not distract me when you see a new soul in these eyes.
For when the war god fills this flesh I wear,
I am no more your friend; I am the spirit of the bear.
Don't call my name in battle — stand away,
For I will never hear you, but some other creature may.
It never sees a friend, but only foes.
Just count the bodies lying where this taken body goes.
Don't call my name in battle — wait the time,
Until I fall and rise again with eyes you know are mine.
And then perhaps we'll rest and talk of home.
But you'll not be surprised to see how much I walk alone."
Raging
Cold Iron Greatsword Raging Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Is a troll Humanoid or Monstrous Humanoid? If just Humanoid add +2 to those three rolls for Favored Enemy.

Zsestrian Raven |

Know.(Nature): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Zses eyes will widen as he sees the huge spear miss Hobbes by a millimeter. He will focus his attention* on the giant figure in the snowstorm "Really? You throw a spear the size of a pillar, and you miss someone that's in front of you? Seriously?". The witch will then burst out laughing, mocking the Troll.**
*Evil Eye DC 15 7 rounds(save reduces to 1), -2 to saves.
**Cackle.

Lyosha Neverhome |

Wait we had secret monastic training for this exact situation at the beginning of the campaign. Tug of War!!!!!!

Hobbes 'Rat Trap' Bitterleaf |

"Hey, watch where yer stickin that thing!" Hobbes steps in under the troll's reach and draws his sword!
Favored Enemy!: 1d20 + 6 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 - 1 = 11
1d4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5

Lyosha Neverhome |

Lol nvm, it's humanoid human that's his favored enemy, not just humanoid. Well there was my derp moment of the night.

'Silence' |

oh misread that then sorry, Silence would most certainly slog in closer to destroy the troll, being large do i have ten foot reach or just 5? I wont lie i dont get enlarged very often >.< Assuming i can still act as opposed to standing around tail lashing
He had training dealing with skilled opponents and the use of reach weapons... the trick was getting under its max reach. This troll while going to die seemed like it could indeed be a worthy foe.
"By the honor of my father and his fathers before him monster, you will fall this day! He cried out loudly using my samurai challenge ability, swift action, grants a +1 to damage per samurai level take a -2 penalty to AC for everything else but the trolls attacks
He takes a step closer (5 ft step) and slashes hard with his katana.

As Neverhome advances, the Troll lashes out and inflicts a serious wound with its spear (take 17pts damage). The raging Half-Orc also feels something momentarily hold him paralyzed, but he's able to break the enchantment through pure force of effort (successful save). He and Silence both carve large gashes in the Troll's hide while Zes works to lower the beast's resistance (failed Evil Eye save). Hobbes misses. The Troll retaliates against the Caturai - stabbing him in the side (Silence takes 11pts damage).
