Elado targets as best he can with the darkness mingling with our light sources. He sends a ray of frost at the yellow hat.
The goblin dressed in red swings his dirty little sword at Ahraq.

The goblin dressed in yellow thinks it's funny to see Ahraq injured, so he swings at Hera.

Raga, I would certainly allow aid another here. I assume that was aid his AC? Or was that aid his attack? It doesn't matter in this case because you didn't make the DC.

No. The DIE ROLLER ON THE SITE is not making it easy for us. Let us be honest and pass the buck to where it needs to be passed. :P
Raga will continue to try and protect Ahraq, being a bit more circumspect as she does so... as her previous efforts may have made the Ifrit jump into the goblin blade's path.

Frustrated with the sound of battle, but a severe lack of metal hitting metal, Baku shoulders his way through the corridor. Entering the opposing room, he turns to peer through the darkness.

Sorry thought I'd posted on this one yesterday. Work kicked my butt
Khana, Hera, and Yroh are all unable to injure the goblins. Yellow starts cackling madly at all the missed attacks. Red strikes as Baku moves past, but misses.
The stinky goblin in the red hat slices hard at Hera, but only manages to do a little bit of damage. The slimy goblin in the yellow hat whacks Ahraq with his sword.

Unable to see the combatants in the dark closet, Baku rubs Elado's shoulders. Whispering into the man's ear, he says "Relax. You've got this. I have faith in you."
Raga moves up into the spot vacated by Ahraq Provided it's not taken by someone else and the goblin is still there. and takes a whack at the goblin furiously.
Longsword:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Of course, she manages to step into the 'cursed area', where nothing seemingly originating from or passing through can hit the goblins worth a darn.
Willing to let others have a crack, reminder heading away this weekend for convention and posting will be sporadic at best. Move Raga intelligently, the information for L1.2 attacks is under a character level spoiler on the character profile. See folks after the weekend, good luck!
The yellow goblin sees his friend cut down, shrieks, and runs down the stairs. AoO if you want, but not really needed. A moment later you hear the shrieks turn very shrill, and then suddenly stop.
The stairs take you to the next level of the dungeon, so moving you elsewhere.
A site outage ate a long post I wrote setting up the next part, and now I'm getting sick. I'll get back to you guys and set up the next fight as soon as I'm feeling up to it.

You move around the edges of the dungeon, and find a closed door. You check it, and conclude that it appears to be safe, so you open it. Inside, you find a goblin and some sort of robot or statue or something of that nature, all green. The goblin shrieks and moves behind the other thing.
Apologies, posting from my phone. Could someone move Ahraq to a position behind the "statue" where he can attack the goblin. If there is nowhere he can get to to attack the goblin, then to the north side of the statue. And is it Large?
The green thing just stands there, since it has not yet been given instructions.

combat over. That did not confirm, but it didn't need to. The goblins was already almost at 0 HP.
What you had labelled as '3' you can't get to yet; it's actually on a different floor, so we will skip on to '4'.
You move on around the circle, and come to a door on the 'outer' side. It has no signs of traps, so you open it. A plush, human-sized bed stands in this chamber, along with a table holding a bone scroll tube and jars filled with eyeballs, claws, and teeth. Various automaton parts lie scattered around. When you look around more carefully, you find a piece of parchment containing a magic symbol, similar to an arcane mark, which is labelled in a language you don't know.
You check on the door on the other side of the hall, and find a staircase going up. You climb the stairs, and find a locked door at the top.

Other: Normally vigilantes have two guises they flip back and forth between. Having seen how disruptive it was to one table to have someone do that, going to stick to vigilante form unless circumstances require that the 'society' form is required.
Disguise +2 (+12 circumstance to fool others with impersonation, +22 to appear as part of polite society while in your social identity, +22 to assume the shape of another with a polymorph spell or effect)
I appreciate your caution about the disruption caused by the vigilante identity switch. If you want to, I think you could use the social identity during the briefing, and then switch over when you leave town without causing any issues.
At level one, I only have a couple oddities so far. My druid has the spell 'acid splash' due to samsaran alternate racial. Due to my animal companion going with the bodyguard archetype from Animal Archives, the druid and the pet gain alertness as a bonus feat when they are adjacent to each other.
Normal Progression and both the druid and pet have low-light vision.
Herra here is my animal companion. I should probably mention she has Combat Reflexes Feat so she can take AoOs while flat-footed and up to 3 per round.

Yroh will introduce himself when the gameplay starts, but basics are divine caster, backup melee, and resistant to cold. A little unhinged, worships snow, and generally likes to defeat rather than kill. I may go Bludgeoner/Enforcer for fun Intimidate checks on every hit.
Looks like everyone has checked in, and almost everyone has given me chronicle info. I'm waiting for another game to end before starting this one up, but after Thanksgiving I'll set everything up so that you guys can chat in character while you wait.
Just a brief RL note, our household is being force-migrated to fiberoptic connectivity on Friday. Theoretically it will have minimal impact, but just wanted to make folks aware.
Hey, I'm going to be ready to start pushing forward on this later today. The homebrew I was running just finished, which means I have enough bandwidth to do justice to this game. I hope the slow roleplay while waiting has at least helped you get a sense for your party.

This looks like one of those things you need a secret decoder ring for...!
I take it I should be in front for the sake of scouting and trap-finding? I can do that - just be ready to reorganize and cover me in a hurry when monsters show up. I'm merely a competent fighter at best.

GM: It's okay, I just wanted to make sure that my posts were visible... the site HAS been acting a bit odd the past couple of days and I have a new 'Net connection.
And completely sympathize with headaches and trying to keep things rolling.
When the party can get some rooms (and Modesta would insist on a private room for religious reasons) a well-armored kitsune warrior type will appear from her room and introduce themselves as 'Ragathiel's Hand', and there will be a slight hint of 'rabid do-gooder' about them. They would be the 'party of the nth part' that Modesta referred to earlier.
Will change back over to 'Rabid Fox' mode after dinner tonight for simplicity's sake. Trying to keep the shift from public persona to vigilante seamless and reasonably believable.
Unless there's a less disruptive point to do so, of course.
After your current conversation, unless you guys ask to do something else, you'll go rest for the night and set off for the dungeon first thing in the morning, so during the night's rest would probably be the best time for your switch over, if you want to keep the switching to a minimum.

Works for me for the most part. Baku would certainly prefer to be in the middle of the pack, though if we didn't have a scout, would be willing to sub in there.

Or something along those lines. Still within fireball formation, but hopefully a group of level ones don't have to worry about such a spell yet. :-P
Edit: Incase GM would like it explicitly stated, my pet would be near me during 'marching order' situations. In front, behind, beside...doesn't make a difference. Above me is fine too. lol.
The current plan is that this evening (US Eastern time) I will move you guys on to the dungeon. I just want to give Khana a reasonable length of time to ask questions.

Truth be told, I initially got it from Google Translate ('Khāṇa' comes from the Hindi for something related to 'eat/eating/eater/to eat,' and 'Tsogtsos' is Mongolian for 'corpse'), and I've just been cutting and pasting it from post to post ever since.

The adventure actually says nothing about low-light vision. A quick google search does not turn up any discussions on the topic. If no one has any definite information, I am going to use my best judgement to say that with low-light vision, you get 10 feet instead of five. The penalties to attacks and perception and things like that will apply to things outside that 10 foot radius. If anyone knows otherwise, I'd like to hear about it.
I also will describe the rooms as normal, assuming that those who can see describe everything to those who cannot.
That is correct. There is a narrow way through the rubble which is to the left on the map, but most of you would have trouble getting through. The size small goblins have to squeeze through. Hera could fit.
Up is a passageway to the other part of the room.
You have evidence from sounds and smells of goblins both ways.

so sorry to hear about your family situation, baku.
Hey guys,
I just wanted to let you know that I'm removing my usual posting requirements for the next week and a half because I'm expecting many people to be busy with family activities. If you get a chance to check in, please do, and if everyone but you has posted and it's been several days, I'll bot you, but if you aren't able to check in, no problem. I expect posting to return to normal unless I have heard from you on January second.
